  1. Morning all, Noticed on my way to work this morning that I wasn't seeing the door mirror indication illuminate. Further inspection shows the black surround broken and a small section of the indicator lens missing. Any idea (before I go to the dealer) if these parts are available individually or if it's a whole new unit ?
  2. I'd worked out that I wasn't pressing the internal boot button hard enough. Seems that the button on my old L&K was a little sensitive - so that's one problem solved! Popped in to the dealer this morning about the ambient lighting issue. Low and hold it all seemed to work when the technician made the setting changes! Just need to test it properly once it's dark...
  3. Thanks for the reply. The car is used and I would of thought that all the features would be available. Car was previously owned by Skoda UK. I did thing about fuses, but like you, would expect multiple failures. Looks like a dealer job...
  4. I meant opening from the inside - I'm aware on the restrictions of using the bitton to close the boot. I've amended my post. thanks
  5. Hi All, I've had my car about 4 days now and noticed a few issues. I thought I'd ask here first before heading off the the local dealer. I've noticed on my car that the internal Electric Boot Release isn't working. Press the button to open it and NOTHING. Operate the boot from the outside and it's fine and also works from the key fob fine. Any ideas ? The second point is that the Footwell lights don't seem to work. I can adjust them (Car -> Settings -> Background Lighting) and change the slider setting but nothing happens. The LED strips in the dash and door and work fine. These all worked on my 2016 L&K so I'm assuming they should on this 2018 L&K.. Any ideas ? John
  6. for my previous Superb I purchase a full size steel wheel from Tyreleader, then approached my local tyre garage (run by my old neighbour) to get a tyre fitted.
  7. Maybe price the car accordingly and leave it, unless you come across a cheap unit and include it in the deal.
  8. Thanks... deliberating on whether to put mud flaps on the car.. I did this to the last Superb and they were hardly noticeable yet did their job on keeping the sides of the car clean(ish).
  9. Collected my new car. Following the sale of my Quartz Grey Mk3 L&K I looked for a new replacement and came across this (after discarding the Volvo V90 and V60). Another L&K TDI estate, but a 190 BHP version. She's a lovely driver!!
  10. I had my 2nd service (variable) done a couple of weeks ago - £249. I used to share your pain, but the Service Advisor at my local (Beadles Southend) does seem on the ball with matters.
  11. Looking to purchase another Superb and sometimes the dealers descriptions leave a lot to be desired. Where the advert describes 'Perforated Leather seats' does this mean they are heated or ventilated. It's the L&K model I'm looking at. My old ones weren't perforated (just heated).
  12. Amazing!!!! I didn't even know there was a tray there! I've only had the car nearly 30 months.... I wonder what else I've yet to discover..
  13. The car has now been serviced and MOT'd.. The service was the equivalent of a 'Major' service. I've also replaced the front tyres (still Pirelli P7's all round).
  14. As Larry Grayson used to say, "What a grey day"..... Quartz this time
  15. First Service I had was £184 Inspection was £59 Second Service is booked in for Monday and I was quoted £249 (but they'll give me a 10% discount on that) First 2 were at a different dealer to the 3rd
  16. I don't really have a need for such a large car (if I'm honest), plus I generally change at 3 years old, so I'm looking to part with my lovely Superb. I've no idea what I'll end up with next and do like the look of the new Octavia (not the FL) from what I've seen. The Superb has been a great car and I might consider getting another (if I can find one for the right money), but for now I think it's time to move on. 2016 Skoda Superb L&K Estate 2.0 TDI 150PS 35,000 Fully maintained by Skoda with all the receipts Oil service due 13th May (and booked in for it) 2 Keys 1 Owner previous to me - I've owned it for the last 2.5 years Quartz Grey Manual Stop/Start £20 Road Tax (YES!!) 55/60 MPG MOT booked in for the 13th May Optional extras over the normal very high spec: Panoramic Glass Sin Roof with electric blind Virtual Pedal (I don't think this was standard) TV Tuner (was only available for a short period) Skoda double sided boot liner/mat Skoda mud flaps (brilliant at keeping grim away from the sides) Other highlights/spec: 18in Pegasus Anthracite Alloy Wheels with Anti-Theft Wheel Bolts (all great condition) Sunset glass Columbus Entertainment system (touch) DAB radio, CD, USB, bluetooth (with streaming), SMARTLINK and WiFi Canton Sound System (10 loudspeakers, a center speaker, subwoofer and external tuner) Automatic Headlights LED daylight running lights LED Package Plus (reading and footwell lighting, door handle illumination,) Bi-Xenon headlights with washers (and cornering facility) Heated Front Windscreen KESSY-Keyless Entry and Start System Park Assist Cruise Control Adaptive Cruise Control Dynamic Chassis Control (select from comfort, sport, normal, etc) Colour Maxi DOT Trip Computer Lane Assist and Blind Spot Detection Auto-dimming rear view mirror Rain sensing automatic windscreen wipers Auto-Dimming Rear-View Mirror Electrically Adjustable, Heated and Electrically Folding Door Mirrors with Memory Function Hill Hold Control Tyre pressure monitoring system Electric open/closing tailgate Electric front seats (drivers has memory option) with lumbar support Heated seats front & rear Black Leather upholstery 3 zone climate control (driver , passenger and rear passengers) Front and rear parking sensors Folding, heated, auto-dipping mirrors Satellite Navigation (2019 maps) Bluetooth AND THERE'S PROBABLY MORE I'VE FORGOTTEN ABOUT!!! 17. Thanks for the replies so far... Oh dear... I missed out on a perfect SE-L with Panoramic Roof, Canton and Heated Front Screen last week..
  18. Morning All, I currently have the lovely L&K model with the Canton Sound System. I'm looking to change car and possible move to the SE-L version. My main requirement is the panoramic roof, but I'd also like it to include the Canton system. Finding a car with both in SE-L form is proving very difficult, so I wonder if any of you have experience on both types of audio system in the Superb or gone from one to the other? It a used car (not new) I'm after.
  19. With my L&K becoming 3 years old in June, I've been considering a change of car. I no longer need all the space , on a regular basis, the Superb Estate gives, but I just love the car. With the last 2 cars having a panoramic roof, this has become something I just cannot do without now and finding a nearly new L&K with one that isn't silly money has become impossible. I don't use all the features of the L&K so have dropped down a notch to the SEL. There are a few out there with the options I want, but mileage a little high and I missed out on one on Monday as it was sold the previous day. I've considered the Passat Estate GT (or R-Line) and that's still on the possible list. The Superb is booked in for it's next service on Friday (it will be its 3rd) and it will probably want new front tyres to pass the MOT. Oh the dilemma
  20. Can i ask @spike2018 what the price is for the car you are looking at ? I'm thinking of selling my 2016 L&K and have a local main dealer looking to buy it for cash (34k miles with a panoramic roof)
  21. Does VC come with a skin/display that shows the fuel guage as a 'needle' rather than a ladder bar ?
  22. Thanks, I'll keep it in mind but I'm not sure the clutch and the start are related in my problems. I can't get the ignition lights to come on sometimes and that doesn't need the clutch depressed. Oh, and sometimes I can't get the car to stop regardless of how hard I press the button!
  23. I looked at the Corolla the other week. The dealer only had the hatch and I'd wanted to see the Estate version. I'm told the rear seat legroom is much improved in the Estate, but there was bugger all in the hatch! Mind you, everything is small compared to the Skoda.
