xpower (who originally posted the coding process for adding HBA) tried to add it to my MY16 Scout, sadly without total success. There seems to be a different procedure involved for a car with halogen rather than xenon lights. Is there a member out there with HBA, halogens and access to VCDS who would be willing to let me have a scan of their vehicle so I can try to find the differences? Andyvee knows someone and has already very kindly offered to try to get a scan when he can. But I have no intention of nagging him (I'm sure you will read this, Andy!!) so thought I'd cast the net wider.

MIB2 Bolero volume settings (SmartLink?)
mberger replied to Rodge's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
On my Amundsen The first menu item is 'Announcements' followed by 'Navigation Announcements.' -
I was that someone - unfortunately we didn't succeed! Has anyone managed to add the tailgate locking delay as mentioned on p59 of the current O3 user manual with VCDS?

Can this be done with VCDS?

Coding favour Yorkshire?

I'm looking for exactly the same thing (someone who can code high beam assist onto my lane assist-enabled MY16 Scout) but in the Brum area... rather than start a new thread I hope it's OK to hop onto this one. Obviously I'm not expecting it to be done for free, but I'm a newbie and I don't know what the protocols are! -
Anyone recommend a boot liner?

Please do you have a link for that? The only Octavia estate one I could find still starts at £77.50. -
Rubber mats and boot liner recomendation

Very good! Need to cut two holes in the raised sections of the boot liner at the rear so the net mountings are usable, but that's simple enough. Excellent value. -
Thought I'd post as it might be useful to someone in future. I managed to lock both keys in the boot of my week old Scout in a hotel car park near Canterbury last Thursday night. Skoda Assistance said the nearest technician was in Croydon, but he would come out to me at 0730. At 0835 he rang to say he was in the car park and by 0850 he had picked the lock and I was on my way. To say I was impressed is an understatement.

For some reason I can't edit my previous post - I meant manual, not diesel!! -

I've had a diesel Scout for ten days and I am averaging 52mpg. Admittedly I don't do boy racing. -

Thanks, I've bought these using Bespoke Offers 'Beat My Price' which brought the cost down to £46. I also went to Bespoke via Topcashback which has tracked at £6 - so potentially £40 delivered! -
The sales manager I saw said he would match the best online lease price I had found if I agreed the deal there and then for a car already at the port. He admitted that he wanted the sale to count towards his September target. That was fine by me, he was being honest. He compromised on price, I compromised on colour. The only available vehicle had a spare wheel, which I said I didn't want (I did really!) so he let me have it for free. And I got a full tank of diesel.

A friend of mine once had a similar experience. As the company in question said they would beat any quote by whatever percentage he rang them up and asked them to price beat themselves. I don't remember if it worked or not, but it must have been fun to try!

I test drove a black Scout a fortnight ago and liked it very much, although I wasn't convinced by the contrasting silver-grey front and back protectors, wing mirrors and roof bars. I really preferred the co-ordinated look of the standard estate, but there were no 4x4s available immediately with the lack of extras I wanted! But there was a silver Scout to be had, and as I thought the silver-grey bits might look all of a piece with that colour, I grudgingly agreed. I saw it at the garage today and it looks great! Delivery next week.
