Wow, they really want top dollar for them.....especially the 280 4x4 l&k estate going for £36,295...virtually the same price as new! Obviously some people will pay this premium to get the car there and then.....personally I would rather wait the 3 months odd and get a new one from NCD and save 9k!!

I do the exact opposite....I do around 4k miles a year and only have my 12 year old Beetle 1.8T serviced once every 2 years, never had a problem (yet) touch wood!

Personally i have used Lux flakes in warm water for years, cheap and it does the job brilliantly.

Personally I think its so wrong that the vast majority of manufacturers automatically supply new cars with this useless and pointless rubbish, wasn't so many years ago that ALL cars came with full size spares. Anything to save a buck! they even have the audacity to charge extra (sometimes £100's) for a pushbike sized spare wheel. Its a dealbreaker with me.....no spare wheel, I go elsewhere! Rant over

Why would that suggest I live in Peterborough? .....20 miles away actually, just took the dogs out for a drive/ walk. I would use them if they were prepared to give me a 23% discount like I can get online, which I very much doubt!

So sorry to hear of your dilemma, ruins everything when you get arsehole dealers, I hope you get luck with what you are doing today. Another thing you could do is make up a huge sign stating your problems and put it on your car somewhere and park it right in front of the dealerships main doors, also call the local paper and see if they are interested in covering your story.....they really don't like bad publicity!
