I'm scared of replying to you as you seem to take a delight in snitching/ having a go at me!!! but here goes anyway.....I too did a price match on a large Sony TV with Richer Sounds at the very end of last year and saved £250, which to me is exactly the same principle. Just a shame that I wasted three and a half months waiting only to have it pulled within around a week of having it delivered!

I did actually contact the MD myself over a week ago....and that comment of mine regarding contacting Jackie magazine etc is called humour!!!....you should look it up sometime!!!

Will do and thank you, apparently the petrol ones are quite rare in this country and there was one in a compound somewhere that had been reserved a couple of hour before I appeared (so they say!) and just the one on the high seas, then after that a factory order which will be up to 10 weeks! which I think is pretty good considering how far away Japan is! Also, there is a few petrol pre-reg's in the country....every colour you like apart from red...typical!

Got a very good discount as well with a dealer 90 miles from me.

The 165 petrol sport nav 2 wheel drive in soul red (I don't do diesel!), shame its not 4 wheel drive but that's reserved for the far superior diesel variants (sarcasm!!) at present stuck on the high seas somewhere, lets hope the ship isn't raided by Somalian pirates! I've liked the style of it since it came out in 2012, as you say, shame no higher powered petrol version here with four wheel drive as in the US of A.

I made the minimum deposit (£500) by credit card and when my order was cancelled it was immediately paid back.

Just thrown all my Skoda, Seat and VW brochures out....had rather a lot! but don't need them as have no intention of ever getting one again, I have put a deposit down on another brand today (with a good discount!), should get it early July! amongst everything else super annoyed that I have lost the past three and half months! Must admit though, the forum for my new car is SO BORING!

Totally agree, my email to Skoda UK was ignored as expected....their loss, will never get a Skoda now. I have put a deposit down on another brand...should get it within a month!

I wouldn't say it was full of anger or even abusive...just to the point. To be honest, I have given up on the whole business now, as I mentioned elsewhere just leaves a bad taste...so I am just going to stick with my Beetle I think and save myself £29k!

Sorry to hear that, probably a waste of time contacting Skoda UK though....I sent them a scathing email the other day and haven't heard back as yet and not expecting to, don't want to call them as I may well say something I might regret as I'm so very angry over this!!!
