  1. looks very smart spongefactory, can I ask where you got them from and how much?
  2. Fair point but I want to make sure it's not an 'ID 10 T' error first
  3. Thanks Gents - will have to try and find time later to give it a test. To/from work currently is just down the motorway and mainly through roadworks (which is where the trouser cough moment occurred this morning). Need to be on an open road as suggested to test safely.
  4. Hi, Not sure if this is an issue or not so keeping an eye on it. It my previous VRs TDI CR 62 plate the cruise control would drop out as soon as you touched the brake pedal. I had a situation today where this didn't happen on my 65 plate which created a bit of a squeaky bum moment and the more I think about it I'm pretty certain it has always been the same since I've had it (8 weeks now - 2k on the clock) and I've had to disable it via the stalk. Can anyone confirm if it should disable after hitting the brake? Has anyone else experienced this issue? Cheers M
  5. Still keeping an eye on this thread for any resolutions. Every morning on the school run I experience this and it's annoying but bearable. As soon as I head off though music goes up and I couldn't give a monkeys... I've a 65 plate VRs TDI hatch just over 1k on the clock.
  6. Ah interesting - yes, I've just enabled that on my phone so will see if that works.
  7. ok cheers - suppose I need to wait (if it ever happens) for some apple compatibility.
  8. Hi All, Apologies if this has been repeated - I couldn't find it by searching. Does anyone know if the Amundsen unit provide text message alerts/read out options? I've an iphone 6 so bearing in mind the current lack of co-ordination I'm not holding out much hope it works with this device but I'm curious as to whether the functionality exists with the Amundsen. Cheers M
  9. haha cheers gents. I'm putting this down to the fact I'm vertically challenged. clearly I can't see over the gear level (or hadn't necessarily checked...)
  10. I'm defo still in honeymoon period with my car (three weeks old) and it's still bedding in so quite happy as things stand. My only gripe just now is, parked up waiting for the mrs to come out the supermarket - she arrives with bags and she can't open the boot. Now I know what you're all going to say - why don't I get out and help her? However, the point I'm making is in my old car I could remotely unlock the boot via a button next to the handbrake. Where/how to do this in my MY16 other than taking key out of the ignition and locking/unlocking again? Might have missed this in the manual somewhere....??
  11. I tend to agree on this. I'm glad I didn't spend the extra. Whilst I do love my music, the standard unit is quite capable. Granted there are some tracks it just can't handle and it needs turning down a bit but I've saved myself further grief from the mrs had I added another extra on my MY16
  12. Took delivery of my new VRS TDI CR yesterday - traded in my old VRS TDI CR (62 plate) which possibly had some of these traits and drove me potty so I've been reading this with intrigue (all 24 blimmin pages!! ). Very early days obviously but I think my new vehicle will suffer from these issues as there is a general feeling of pressure already when moving and I'm on the bridgestones (they'll get going at earliest opportunity!!). However, I tend to have the radio turned up a bit so likely to notice it less than most. I have noticed how different the boot closing is too. There is a far more reassuring clunk when closing the new boot to the old which felt like there was an enormous inflated balloon in the way. Very happy so far (honeymoon period) but I wonder whether at some point I'll be trying out some of the previous suggestions.
