Just been on the phone... (thats dog & bone for the people down south) to Sarah at Awesome GTI shes says they can get hold of these camber kits and theyre about £60 without VAT Theyre not sure how long it will take to fit so she's asking a Tech then getting back to me.

(1) Why when you select reverse gear when you have the fan out does it suddenly sound like the fan has gone into Turbo mode lol ??? :confused: (2) Why is there a little very high pitch Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeping noise when your foot is on the brake at a stand still ??? :confused: Just always wondered !

Is anybody else with OEM suspension having this problem ???? Mr Posty told me he had just fitted some new tyres (On OEM suspension) a month before he drove through Germany and he had his tread measured whilst he was there and he'd lost 4mm on the inside of the tyre.

Well went to the garage today and took the mechanic out for a spin but couldnt hear the bloody noise so he didnt bother taking the wheel off to look. I will get it checked else where (obvious they couldnt be bothered) but in a related threadmy camber is negative and causing my inside tyres to wear too fast on the inside wall.

Cant believe it.... !!! Me and Mr Posty were talking about this on the phone today however I believe he is running OEM suspension and I am on KW V1 coilovers. We both agreed (after he explain what negative camber is) that theres pretty much naff all we can do about it. I discovered this after having the wheels lazer aligned.

Just spoken to my local garage (Trustworthy) Gordons Tyres I described exactly what the noise was and he said exactly above sounds like a wheel bearing is on the way out :( Im off up to the garage at 3pm for him to just have a quick look but how much do you reckon Im looking at fitted ???

Hmmm looks ok.... Just wish Skoda would get their ar*e's into gear and give us what we want. A hot hatch with all the bells and whistles as we dont want to pay and extra, however many grand just for a VW badge Polo GTI.

Just out of interest I did a Google search and it says that your car has done the equivalant to going round the Earth just over 4 times

You've pretty much got it sussed. Go for Powerflex and Cupra bushes best set up id say.

I have NOT heard a clicking noise (yet) but... when I turn a tight right hand corner (turning the wheel 180 degrees or more) at say 20 to 30mph and with NO radio or fan on I hear a whirling (turning) noise from the wheel arch area and I have NEVER heard it make that noise before. If it is a CV joint how much do you think Im looking at £££ wise ??? :( Ive got an extended Skoda Warranty but its like trying to get blood out of a stone. I will have a good feel around that CV joint tomorrow and take some pics to see what u guys diagnose.

They weren't D M Keith in West Yorkshire by any chance were they ??? IMHO Ive had absolute shocking service from them in the past and I know several that have also commented the same. Ive got full leahter, xenons and cruise control so nurr nurrrr ner nurrrr nerrrrr ! :P Just wish I could have had ESP fitted too but it was an ex demo with 2k knocked off the price with only 2500 miles on the clock so snapped the dealers hand off !

Welcome to Briskoda and may I say buying a Fabia vRS s the most sensible thing you will ever do in your life and doing so with a great big smile everytime you pass by a stuck up BMW driver as you think to yourself I only paid 12k for this car when it was brand new how much did the BMW driver pay??? HAHA idiot... You do get a very satisfying feeling when you drive this car mate and by the sounds of it the one you are buying is well cared for. Hope to see you in the forum regularly.
