  1. This looks super useful. Do you know if the guide is also suitable for the Amundsen system? Thanks.
  2. Just a point of note. There is an option in the settings regarding the movement of the mirrors on locking. Might be worthwhile that's selected if you have more problems.
  3. I've just seen this thread. How do you change the Amundsen firmware? Is anyone able to link a "how-to" guide? Thanks.
  4. @ AG Falco, thanks for picking up on this thread. At the moment I don't have 20 content items so I can't PM you yet. I'll post more and PM you once I'm allowed to. Best wishes.
  5. Thanks for the reply. The person 8n Bournemouth on that page you linked is apparently no longer active. I'll message AG Falco and see what he says. Cheers
  6. Hi, hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread. Presumably coding the batteryis still worth doing, even with a 2016 superb. The cheapest quote inbBournemouth I can find is £40. So if it's £40 to code it and a new battery is £160, is not coding the battery going to result in over a 25% loss in battery performance/life? The guy who said he would do it for £40, told me not to botther and take my wife out for supper. 😃 Thanks
  7. The battery is for my start-stop superb from 2016. I don't know how good the battery mangement system was when the car was built.
  8. Ok thanks. Out of interest, presumably it is worth doing? ie. if it's £40 to code it and a new battery is £160, is not coding the battery going to result in over a 25% loss in battery performance/life? The guy who said he would do it for £40, told me not to botther and take my wife out for supper. 😃
  9. Thanks for the message Danoid. It depends how much you wound charge. I've had quotes from £40 to £105.
  10. Oh. He's still listed on the VCDS owners page.
  11. What are you suggesting? That we make meaningless posts and comments on this thread? ;)
  12. I put in the car's VIN and the website loaded with "update your system Amundsen". So I'm assuming I have the Amundsen. What's the difference between the two in terms of the sat-nav and maps? Cheers.
  13. Hi, I have a 2016 superb technology with the original sat-nav map on the SD card. I have wanted to update the maps but been put off by this disclaimer from skoda - "Please note that after the update all previous function may not be available at all or in the original scale. Please note that updates may not be compatible with all previous devices." Has anyone run in to any problems with updating the maps? Also, I was going to add the downloaded map on to a new SD card instead of overwritiing the map on the skoda SD that came with the car. Any problems using a non-skoda SD card? Thanks.
  14. I'd agree and also say the speed on longer trips is important. I have a 1.6 petrol octavia and a 1.5 diesel superb and going from 50 to 60 to 70 shows a fairly consisent 15% drop in mpg on both cars (diesel outperforming the petrol).
  15. Thanks for the quick replies. The user I would like to message is @Twinpack , so I'll see if he messages me whilst I reply to other comments. Cheers.
