  1. Can you buy a replacement gear for the lock like the one for the A4 and mk5 golf?
  2. Hi guys it seems to me that the sport kit from the pre face lift octaiva seems to be as rare as rock horse poo. So im wondering if any one would have any leads as to possibly source any parts? The car is in line to get a bit of painting done at sone point but id like to get my hands on the sport kit as the vrs kit seems to common to me.
  3. Hi guys as ive noted in some posts recently im rather green to the skoda scene and oblivious to what will and wont work on the superb. So i have been reading (on this site) about retro fitting the updated skoda badges to the pre facelift superb. Well i had went last week and ordered the Chinese copies of the emblems as the front one was missing and the rear had seen better days but to my dismay they arent flat and low and behold they dont stick never mind the fact they arevas soft as melted butter. So ive found a couple of 90mm face lift badges i think one is of an Octavia and ive ordered 56mm copie centre caps as ive just had the orginal spectrum rims powder coated in anthercite. But as it seems to be a running issue with steering wheel badge is it possible to swap the complete steering wheel and air bag from the. Likes of the rapid?? My steering wheel needs replaced so it would save and messing around trying to change badges.
  4. Yeah the octavia is 2004 mk2 . The superb is 2011 (am i right in saying theres greenline and non greenline tdi? ) yeah they dont pass mot due to non level and no headlamp washers. But as long as its projector style head lamp they have never given bother unlike the reflector style lamp with someone running the brightest bulb possible blinding everyone. Thanks for the info again ive had the octavia for a while but ive mostly been a vauxhall man but ive been swayed by skoda for a while now but havent looked at upgraded etc bjt this superb needs a little tlc .
  5. Hi guys sorry if this is an issue being pulled up again. Im looking to fit an hid kit i have spare. It was fitted to a host of vectras i used to own so has the canbus warning cancellers with them. I also had them in the octavia for some time also. But ive been told that its not a good idea to fit them to either skoda as it destroys something?? But ive had them fitted in the octavia with no issues at all.
  6. Hi guys im looking to see if i can get unpainted door handles and rub strips for a saloon model ? Im thinking of giving the carca "poverty" look to it as im considering tunning it a bit so id give it the sleeper/poverty look.
  7. Hi guys im new to the superb scene as my father in law gifted us his old superb that needs some tlc. The car was rear ended before xmas but sustained minimal damage. The tailgate had dent along where the superb wording is and that is all. The tailgate was repaired and the car put on the road again. But when the car arrived up at mine i noticed the boot lid wasnt sitting properly. The boot closes but momemts later the boot lid pops up. Its as if the latch holds temporarily and then lets go. Pushing on the latch it springs back. The hatchback part operates if i push the tailgate down first . So if anyone can point me in the right direction so i can sort this problem out it would be greatly appreciated.
  8. well guys my trust worthy Octavia has had a major problem since it returned from the auto spark. The car went in with the front wipers not working and an air bag light on. Anyways it turned out it was a broken wire somewhere and while it was there the drivers window regulator was replaced as it was broken supposedly. so any the car came home over a week ago and with my wife using it it hasnt been out as much but she went to go out in it last thur night and it was dead so it turned out to be a dead battery. the cold weather completely killed it as it wouldnt even jump . so i bought a new battery and got it fitted last night but as soon as i done that the radiator fan kicked in (the key wasnt in the ignition) so i had a feeling the can had been running and drained the battery . it had a wiring repair before for the temp sensor so i assumed the auto spark had disturbed the wiring possibly also i should note that when fitting the battery the fuse box cover was misssing. soni pulled the fan fuse until i can get the spark to look at tje car and to stop the battery draining. so fast forward to tonight and the wife went to head out in the car which struggled to start but when she arrived at her mums the she turned the car off but the car kept running with the key removed and the dash had light up like a xmas tree. so she brought staright home and i had to stall the car to get it to turn off and with key out the dash has light up with all the warning lights on but very dim and they wont go out. so i looked at the fuse box and noticed water sitting in around it so would it be safe to say that water has got into it and has shorted out various connections as with snow over the weekend and with it raining last week to it has drained down between the bonnet and wing shut line and onto the fuse box? and to help things along it has started to rain which has is forecast to rain all night so i have placed a binbag over the fuse box to help keep any more water getting into it until i get down to the sparks tomorrow. So am i right in thinking due to the spark not replacing the fuse box cover he has let water enter it and its causing all sorts of problems?? need some advice before i start giving off tomorrow as he charged me plenty when he "intially" fixed it and car didnt have any other problems prior to this . *apologises for the long read*
