  1. Time for wee Jimmy Crankie to close playgroups in Scotland?
  2. There is an option DRL Disable/Enable within MAXIDOT Settings (Manual page 65) if this is what you are after, but as logiclee queries, what is behind your initial enquiry?
  3. Triangle issue has been raised previously on 'the light side'. I and others have since painted inside the triangle indents with white paint. Easily draws attention (including to the fitter who replaced 4 tyres for me this week using a pair of trolley jacks rather than a full four-post lift.
  4. Had same earlier this year. On diagnostic plug-in, root cause was failed NSR ABS sensor. Caused cascade of other lights. Until replaced, sometimes 3 lights, sometimes 6, sometimes no lights. Advised that not unknown across certain VAG models. Since replacement (under extended warranty), no issues.
  5. No official new Amundsen2 units anywhere in UK or whole of Europe and unlikely in the future. (source: Skoda UK) I have been waiting for mine to be replaced under a warranty claim or a Kenwood? alternative to be offered. (perhaps it's an inside job as Skoda UK must be fed up with my and my dealership's constant chasing)
  6. Has anyone replaced their Amundsen 2 Infotainment system with another integrated system? Either by choice or by necessity. It was standard equipment on my 2016 L&K. Has anyone installed the Kenwood system that was offered as a Skoda Accessory per 2016 brochure and advertised subsequently in dealerships? Must have satnav (plus linking with maxi dot), dab/fm, music player, phone connectivity, compatible with parking sensors....so not a big ask!
  7. A sheet of newspaper or length of kitchen towel laid in the footwell and checked frequently might identify a drip/leak from above and, if no evidence, suggest that the water is coming in/up from behind the side/floor trims/carpet. Incidentally, when my original heated screen was replaced (stone damage) the fitter commented on how poorly he thought the original sealing had been carried out. Certainly not the 'robot perfect' that you see on videos. That said, it had never leaked.
  8. If 'back open a bit' is a trick, I have missed it since 2016. Mine opens fully and closes fully (and stays closed) and will stop partway when I take my finger off the button. I think you must have a really special edition! Under waranty - back to dealer?
  9. Might your first contact be with a Skoda dealer in Romania or with Skoda Romania www.skoda.ro ? Your 2013 left hand drive Yeti might have 'Mainland Europe' characteristics which were not transferred to UK models. The dealer would be likely to offer more accurate advice than us UK Yeti owners. You might also look through the offerings on www.superskoda.com, although beware of the effect it might have on your wallet !! Anyway - good luck !
  10. French motorway lane discipline is some of the best in Europe (evidence: many European miles annually except 2020 unfortunately). You will be tailgated if you stay in an outside lane unnecessarily but no different to here. OK, parking in some cities is sometimes 'shunt and squeeze in' but no different to here. And yes, the Aires are delightful.
  11. Continuous for me but hopefully only temporary indigestion for your system and it is now (somehow, best known to itself) back to normal.
  12. I have had this (Amundsen 2 Infotainment System). Vehicle purchased new in April 2016 with extended 5 year warranty. Zooming in and out on satnav screen, screen unresponsive, PLUS (on SD Card) bouncing between tracks and albums and the DAB radio bouncing between preset stations. Two visits to supplying main dealer. After first 4 hours investigation (17 September) first checks showed a failed ability to focus on the identified available satellites. Following diagnosis via a TIS (technical information sheet) from Skoda UK to the dealership, it was concluded to be a faulty signal focusser/translator(?) aerial at the rear of the unit. Subsequently (1 October) this was replaced but after a couple of hours, the dealership concluded that this had not resolved the problems. Dealership agreed a complete replacement Amundsen2 unit to be supplied and fitted under warranty (placed on backorder 7 October) and appointment booked for 22 October.

...and I assumed the local ECP was the place to go. Certainly for SWMBO's bulbs, both our blades and my AdBlue.....but clearly not batteries! Thanks for the heads-up. (Still cannot understand the huge variation)
  14. Bexhillian replied to Fabcol's topic in Skoda Yeti
£286 for a new battery? I was amazed at how much the dealership is charging you. He's being done, me thought. Remembering last year, I had a new Varta battery fitted to SWMBO's Fiat 500 (with s/s). Looked up the paperwork - £146.27 inc vat So I put my reg.number into Euro Car Parts and guess what? I am so sadly out of touch. OK, my Yeti needs a tad more oomph from the battery but.... Varta AGM 096 £439.99 Bosch AGM 096 £454.99 Exide AGM 096 £429.99 Lion AGM 096 £294.99 Good luck Fabcol, you have a good deal and I am suitably chastened!
  15. Have been following these postings with interest and much sympathy. I think most of us realise what has gone on here - incorrect identification of the four different drain and refill plugs. If the dealership denied liability, why would it make any goodwill gesture at all? That it has made a gesture now means only quantum needs to be finalised. DLTBGYD ! (meanwhile, best wishes for your imminent med. procedure)
  16. Following this topic seems to be bad for your Yeti's health! Until today, my Amunsden2 unit has performed faultlessly. However, today the satnav image continually increases and then decreases. The audio will not hold a track, jumping at random to another and the radio (on both DAB and FM) refuses to recognise any of my preset stations and jumps at random between other stations. A visit to the dealer tomorrow for another 'fix it under warranty, please' discussion
  17. I am still confused as to why my Yeti is spec'd at 225/50/R17/94W when it is not capable of achieving that speed (W = 168MPH) even when going downhill, fully loaded with hydrogen balloons. Here's a paragraph from the RAC website within its What is a tyre speed rating? - everything you need to know article Speed ratings are achieved through tests performed by engineers who run the tyre at 6.2 mph steps, in 10 minute increments, until the required speed has been met. Is this from whence some confusion has arisen? 600 seconds / 10 minutes? Unfortunately, the RAC article does not explain further regarding these engineers' tests.
  18. Recently had delayed MOT (April 2016 regd). Advisories on all four original Michelin tyres for outer wall cracking although all treads-a-plenty. Too much exposure to sunlight. Similar comments on 'the other side' re Michelins. Will be going4 Seasons at the end of the year.
  19. Welcome back! I have a similar one to your proposed. The brown polishes up beautifully. 31k miles @ 51.8mpg per spreadsheet from new. We try to use the little Fiat for local stuff. Lives outside and no sunroof issues. (3 months to the gallon, recently!)
  20. Manufacturers I'm first owner from new, car came with 3 and I paid £525 + vat for 2 more years per the original order form. Very happy with the car overall and probably breaking even on the 'cost' of work done under warranty / additional warranty cost. Still 8 months extended warranty left, so some reassurance just in case
  21. Not too long ago, a front foglight was filling up (and going green). My supplying dealer promptly replaced complete unit, no quibbles, under my 3 + 2 years warranty. I have also had the other occasional failure treated similarly - nothing to do with the sunroof which remains fault free. Is your L&K still within a warranty period?
  22. Bit of worm starting on the centre caps (but easily replaced) otherwise, just as andy span said re sunroof
