How to fill a Yeti - luggage!
Avoid "rigid cases" and use "soft luggage" of the barrel bag type. But eleven days with a teenager, mother and two dogs, long UK drives at the beginning and end, I would need a holiday when I arrived back home.

"Eco" tyre pressures
2.2 all round with Goodyear 225/50 R17 EFFIGRIPERF 2 98W XL feels (and sounds) just right. Rarely more than the two of us in the car and any trip luggage never weighs more than an extra adult in the back.

Map update STD_1510_E_U1_202122. Query
Have been updating regularly since 2016 purchase. Yesterday, started update process for ECE A1 2021/2022 to my 32gb SD card using my filed crib sheet (Thank you Urrell and others for past help to create this) All files shown loaded OK according to my MAC. Inserted into car - 'map database unavailable' Mild panic, although I had made an Old Maps contingency back up. Restarted entire process working methodically through the crib sheet. Inserted into car - 'map database unavailable' Stronger panic, later followed by even stronger panic! Anyway, after 3 failures, my 4th attempt is working successfully - now awaiting the gates to Europe to be fully reopened! Working down my crib sheet printout, ticking each stage as I went, (download and unzip, unlock card, make back up, format etc) I don't understand 3 misses before the final hit. Lesson seems to be, if at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again! Makes your palms sweat a bit though.

How to turn off Amundsen II radio without losing NAV sound?
Others may suggest that I RTFM but thank you Baxlin. I tried pressing the LH steering wheel rotary knob in and the muting works. A Eureka moment after five years!

How to turn off Amundsen II radio without losing NAV sound?
Yes (albeit after some early days confusion), radio volume turned back to zero but still able to hear directions from Dolly!
- Turn your Yeti into a camper for one or two.

Issues with Amundsen MIB2 5L0035680C
I have Amundsen2 (inc SD Card1 SatNav, FM/DAB and SD Card2 Music) My first unit failed after four and a half years and was replaced by Skoda UK with new under warranty. I can only comment on your question 3, although I have never removed the unit myself, but both screens (original & new) feel noticeably more than just 'warm' after a few miles of SatNav.

Replacement Windscreen
My Autoglass replacement screen (heated, rain sensors etc) from Autoglass is stamped FUYAO LAMINATED Dot 459 AS1M848 43R 010242 E4 SOLAR TINT 9 .. Not sure what the OEM was but even if it was VAG stamped, VAG didn't make it themselves. My (4) door glass and rear hatch is PILKINGTON with a Skoda logo plus assorted letters & numbers. My (2) rear quarter glass is VAGC AUTOMOTIVE with Skoda logo plus ditto

Replacement Windscreen
Exactly as Urrell said and the Autoglass technician was happy to give a full commentary while I watched the whole process. (six inch horizontal crack starting from the edge, just below the parking ticket holder)

Lit up like a Christmas tree
Cascade of lights from (usually) failed rear ABS Sensor. Happened to me. Quite a lot here and on YOC from others who have had same experience. Problem occurs in other VAG models. AA checked fault codes at Mway Services, said brakes OK to drive until fixed - just no ABS. (phonecall to dealer confirmed safety issue). Worth reviewing your own fault codes first though, just to confirm. You may find that lights go out, only to come back on subsequently but then go out again on the way to the dealer to fix!

Yeti spare wheel coversion

Parts 5L0071108B and 8P060102703C £260 No doubt, a Skoda dealer close to you can supply same.

Firm seats
Took us a few extended drives to find our best positions......fiddling seat back, lumbar support, height and steering wheel position etc. (Came from 20+ years of Espace armchairs) SWMBO and I are slightly south and slightly north of 70 but have enjoyed pain free Yeti drives all over Europe, often in 200+ mile chunks.

GPS not working - help with wiring
When the screen failed, music via the SD Card was defaulted to the first album, (A for Adele) as swiping across the screen was ineffective. The preset radio stations would swipe across but again, none would not lock and the system defaulted to a station that was actually not one of the presets. The electrical specialist technician at the dealership downloaded about six pages of diagnostic guidance from Skoda UK and was unable to detect the full set of satellites (does the number 11 come to my mind?). Now here comes the demo of my ignorance of such things..............I think the technician said that his guidance sheets pointed to the failure of a second aerial/signal consolidator located behind the main unit? Anyway, one of whatever was ordered from Skoda UK and subsequently fitted - but with no positive effect at all. Technician's conclusion - it was the screen itself that had failed. Subsequently, the new Amundsen2 unit supplied by Skoda UK has been faultless.

GPS not working - help with wiring
Maybe another screen failure? Seems a developing issue with c2016 Amundsen2 models. Further problems reported on YOC As I recall, mine had me permanently parked in Dunkirk. After a protracted hassle with Skoda UK (full marks for dealer support) I had a new Amundsen2 unit fitted FOC under my 5 year warranty in 2020.

Leaking Panoramic Roof - The Cause and the Cure
Logical solution, Lee & Muppix My L&K lives outside and after 5 years, there has been no hint of a leak. It is such a good car and has years of life left. Polishes up like the day we took delivery. Even if our roof should eventually fail, a more mature version of clear "sticky-backed-plastic" over the joins will likely solve and keep the sun shining through.

Plethora of Warning Lights!
Sorry, nothing useful, save my ABS Sensor replacement was a 'take a seat, have a coffee, it'll be fixed in a jiffy'. No dealer comment that any other component was replaced. Done under my 5 year warranty, so no paperwork to me as dealer billed the job to Skoda UK. Fault free since.

Timing Belt replacement
PS to Frenchtone Just realised that you are in France and maybe yours is a 'parts-only' enquiry. Sorry

Timing Belt replacement
Mine is booked into local supplying Skoda dealership for April 18 at the dealer's confirmed price of £649 (cambelt + water pump)

5 years on and still happy.
Spot on! Ours is a keeper for the same reason. Coming up to 5th birthday and still polishes up like new and at 33k miles the engine is just about run in!

5 years on and still happy.
Can I join the Club? Five years on 26 April. Couple of issues - ABS sensor failed (Christmas lights on the dials) and Amundsen2 replaced (both FOC under 5 year warranty) No sunroof problems. Overall, car still shining, face still smiling, definitely a keeper. Just waiting, waiting, waiting for Europe to open up again but looking more like 2022 before restarting Euro tours!

Multiple Faults?
I had 'Christmas lights', six of them, on the dials. Suggested culprits ASR, ESC, ABS, TPM +2 (Manual P36 - 'In the event of an ABS fault, the other braking and stability systems are turned off' AA Roadside plugged in and showed NSR ABS fault. Continuing journey cautiously lights went out only to come back following day, only to go out again en route to dealer to fix. Luckily photos taken when warning lights were up. Sensor replaced, no further issue. AA and dealer confirmed similar issues recorded across VAG range (shared component)
