Dark here now so I went out & turned on the ignition. Lights were off. Panel lights came on for a few moments then turned off. Turned on the Auto lights, Headlights and panel lights came on. All is clear. Thanks all for clearing this up.K

I have looked for the sensor on the rev counter as suggested, but can't see it. Mine is the 1.4 petrol 150PS model, 8 months old. I've also tried google. Did you keep the link to the google pics you found? It will be dark here soon, I will try an experiment & report back. Thanks for all the input, very interesting stuff. K

I did turn on the lights, the panel lit up on headlights, but not on auto

I rarely use auto lights, the lights were off.

I'll try to find it and try an experiment, if I cover it the panel lights will turn off. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks again.

OK, thanks, it was about 09:30, dull yes but hardly needing headlights. However I will keep an eye on it & see. Where is the sensor ?, (just for curiosity). Thanks again KK

Hi. This morning when I 1st drove off I noticed that the background illumination on the instrument cluster, speedometer etc, was not on. The Maxidot display was ok. I stopped to do some shopping, and when I restarted an hour later all was back to normal. What did I do ????? Thanks KK

Hi all. When I use the auto heating setting I end up with cold feet. Is there a way of telling it it to blow more warm air to my feet, not to my head ? I find using manual settings works nicely, but it's a shame to buy something that does not work. Thanks KK

Hi. On the top of my dashboard, at the centre , just under the windscreen, there is a grille. I assume it's a loudspeaker (though I can't easily hear sound from it). I need to be sure because I might sometimes block it . Thanks all

Hi. The Infotainment radio system can receive DAB, FM, AM signals. Most of my preferred stations are on DAB (7 of them) , just one is only available on FM. Is there any way I can add the one FM preset to the list of presets on the DAB display? Rather than having to switch to the FM menu button 1st? This sounds crazy I know, but I have a horrible feeling that I managed it before with BBC Classics FM. Thanks all K

HI, Is it safe to wash my car using a pressure washer ? I see the 'hand washing' services using them on other people's cars and it looks terrifying. I have visions of the paint being eroded. I was my car with a sponge, warm water, and Autoglym. Is a pressure washer safe? KK
