  1. I keep looking at the Niro or a soul to replace the our yeti. The full electric version though.
  2. Will likely be a wheel Speed sensor or ring. Possibly wiring need to read codes to find which one unless you can test a sensor yourself. The cheap code readers only read the engine ecu you need something that can read the abs ecu.
  3. Seats out I’ve had road bikes and mountain bikes in with wheels on. Front of n 1st drop the wheel turned into the foot well and rear to the opposite corner. My 29er enduro bike didn’t fit that way so I take the front wheel off and slide it back wheel 1st between the rear seats with the centre seat removed.
  4. By loaded I’m guessing he meant weighted to balance. Stick on weights should be used in specific areas of the wheel. If clip on weights are used they can catch on things under certain conditions. Or if stick on weights are stacked on or in the wrong spot they can do the same. the current front knock is a symptom of a cv joint going.
  5. Used to hide credit card sized alarm clocks in mates cars. No one owned a yeti then though so prob not that 😂
  6. A red cube and a postman pat costume for me please
  7. Kia Soul is a quirky looking thing that I’d consider
  8. Most of those faults could be linked to a wheel speed sensor failing as they are interlinked systems that rely on the same sensors. Still worth checking the battery health as they can and do create an array of seemingly random faults even if the car still starts.
  9. Was doing hand brake turns in my yeti just the other day. 2wd win
  10. Spare wheel well got water in it if it’s not wet carpet in foot wells?
  11. Rear door drain holes clear ? Sill drain holes clear?
  12. One way crank breather breaks off and can makes a little more noise. Often leads to a oily smell in the car or a slightly unsettled idle. Or as above a exhaust gasket or joint blowing.
  13. Seen it a few times on landrovers where they’ve been slipping the clutch and dropping it at high revs trying to get out of a hole or towing something way too heavy and overheating the clutch.
  14. Don’t know if it works for the 4x4 models but the 1.2 fwd model the rear discs can be changed without removing the calliper carrier.
  15. Replace a pair and keep the 1 good tyre as a spare, or sell as a part worn some one will get use out of it and you’ll get a few quid back
  16. The problem went away before I fitted the new battery and hasn’t re occurred since fitting it so can’t be sure it’s what caused the issue in the 1st place.
  17. Battery reading was taken disconnected from the car as was doing a drop test. The 14.5v was battery in engine running to test the alternator wasn’t over charging or doing some else weird.
  18. Well i got home with multi metre and battery tester and would you believe it all works perfectly. 😂 Instruments stay on alternators kicking out 14.5V. Battery tester dosnt like the battery so looks like it might all be down to a dying battery in the end.
  19. Rev counter speedo and mfd shut down radio still works .
  20. Got a unusal problem with my yeti. I think i know what it is but dont have the tools to full confirm it at home. turn on the ingnition dashboard powers up as normal. Start engine and a few seconds later the dashboard completly turns off. My initial thought is the alternator regulator is over charging and the dash is shutting down to protect its self. Ive disconected the alternator and started the engine and the dash stays on with the battery light on so looks like its the regulator. Will hopefully get the multimeter and diag on it tomorrow to confirm and then its just finding a new regulator.
  21. Looking at my mk1 it looks like it could be a bumper off job.
  22. All the a b and c post trims off then grab handles seat belt and lights.
  23. Saw the thread title and thought this will be that bit of a door handle again
  24. Abs pump probably needs bleed procedure running all else being good.
