Yeah these plates are totally illegal. And note the bit "So thin it is UN-NOTICEABLE to the naked eye from a distance" on the website. does that mean if you do get pulled it can easily be seen close up? Not worth the risk I would say, though not sure what you could actually get done for by having one. You would probably just get a VDRS to have it removed. A radar detector would probably be a better bet.

Yeah and they carry a higher price tag. Think I read a report in auto-express comparing fabia vrs with ibiza sport, and they thought the skoda was more solidly built inside and out. So why the higher price tag?

Have you guys seen the new Ibiza due out soon. The FR. Not quite a cupra but it does have the 1.8T in it.

That sounds unlucky Woody :thumbdwn: I think the fines are basically just way of funding the cameras. All the fine money goes back into maintenance and admin costs, as well as paying for extra cameras, just what we need :thumbdwn: The government is introducing a three strikes and your out type system soon. I think basically you will be warned the 1st time, fined the second, and get points on the third. sounds ok but I think you get 6 points. Ouch. This may even be on trial in some areas. Not sure which though.

No climate is not listed as an option or even as standard. Not sure myself what the difference is between climate and aircon :confused: Do you really need climate. I've never even had aircon. It looks OK to me, but I guess thats not the vRS version, which will probaly look loads nicer.

I drive a focus all day long at work, and hammer it about, Im a copper. although ours are only pathetic 1.4's I wouldn't say the handling is all that great, I've seen a few writen off. Your best bet is to drive both though and see which you prefere.

My dealer has a few coming in at the begining of march for 04 registration and recons there wont be much delay after that, so only 4 weeks, at the moment but these cars were ordered before I put my name on 1. before that they have been turning customers away saying that they cant get hold of them.

Hello everyone I am currently in the process of buying a fabia vrs, after 3 years of owning a saxo vtr. went for a test drive a couple of weeks ago and was well impressed. Just a case of selling the saxo now.

Hi all. This is my 1st post and I am in the same boat as Des. Looking at buying a Fab vRS, after being very impressed for pretty much the same reasons as Des during a test drive. As far as I was aware the fabia does have 8 speakers, and each pair has its own seperate crossover in the door somewhere, to improve quality. I did not listen to the stereo system on my test drive, so cant comment on what it sounds like, but Im sure some basic speaker upgrades will sort it out massively. My only concern is for adding an amp and sub to the boot. Does the Fabia headunit have RCA preouts? As for the possibility of chipping and not voiding the warranty, well that would be sooo cool. As for delivery dates, as far as Im aware, and this is coming from my dad who works at a Skoda dealer, the supply problem has been resolved and waiting times will be sorted as of March.
