  1. P177F is error code on scan.. 'Hydraulic Pump motor insufficient voltage' a quick search around the VW forums comes up with replace 'TCU' part or new mechatronics / reconditioning needed..
  2. Just got past 10mins 30-40mph no flashing then I used the tiptronic drop down a gear then back up & flashing started again. If turn car back on again the flashing is gone (temporarily again), gear changes all smooth with no juddering. Oil about 70c after 10mins (in this cold weather)
  3. Doubt I can afford something that big of a job .. it's booked in for a scan tomoz.. interestingly the flashing comes on dead on 10min 'travel time' mark
  4. These seems to be what started it on mine I was on an uphill section & changed to paddles which ive not done for a long time. Though the flashing issue is happening randomly as I haven't used paddles since, hopefully it's a minor issue... The only major items not to have gone on this car is the DSG at 61k miles, and the mechatronics unit so I'm.on borrowed time that's for sure. Car is nearly 13 years old now, how it's got this far is a miracle
  5. 🙈, mine started flashing but still running.. so far
  6. Defo had that 34F7 done through Skoda dealership and car was updated, then had Engine oil burning fixes @skoda then car was remapped 5 years ago, Been running great really just never seen the gears flashing before then it comes & goes, only place I can go is Tuning shop who will have seen this on VAG DSG cars no doubt
  7. Found this online in detailed PDF, mine running fine but just wondering how much time got as the blinking comes & goes 🤔, is something to do with mechatronics?
  8. Had a new recirc valve fitted due to some error codes and Turbo not activating.. that was solved 2 weeks ago now 2 weeks later unrelated.. the maxidot DSG is blinking, what is this sign of.. car was running perfect with full boost but am just pottering again now this comes on randomly VID_20230114_121437_1280x720.mp4
  9. The error code generated was P0033, power loss of 25% on the Dyno run, Water pump pressure tested for 2 hours at 15psi with no coolant loss / leakage, so it's booked in again New Year to look at the P0033 error. Anyone had this particular fault? The powerloss I have not really felt or noticed , should be up at 200bhp. https://www.troublecodes.net/pcodes/p0033/?amp A David skoda vrs.bmp
  10. Booked in at the tuning shop Monday 12th where all major work & upgrades done, so they will do coolant pressure test etc..
  11. No don't think so it's my girlfriends dad's garage he only done very basic checks.. think I will have to go back to Tuning shop in New Year..that's where the waterpump was fitted
  12. My local garage has had a quick look, no obvious leaks, tried the cardboard trick underneath myself and when driving no boost problems either, If it is the water pump related again I've got another 2 months to sort it out again with (warranty on the part) but the labour will still be hefty.. last time when it was going there was steam coming from it on a cold winter's day through the vented bonnet.. so that will be that sign as well as more coolant loss..🙄
  13. This has been the case on mine twice with coil pack 3 in the last 5 years
  14. I've unscrewed the gap minor air escape (very slight pressure) assume this is normal, coolant nice and pink no smells got to be something simple, my car loves doing this around Xmas time 🤦
  15. Ok so had waterpump above in video replaced Feb 2021, done little mileage since then..now I'm suffering coolant loss again.. but no power issues / or noises. Could it just be coolant hose that's leaking somewhere?
  16. I'm changing mine soon to the smaller MK3 Fabia alloy with 215/45/R16 with uniroyals, using as all rounder tyres, has anyone tried this is it straight swap in the garage?
  17. Woohoo back on the original login thanks for sorting John999boy 😄
  18. All of the possible causes need to be eliminated one by one in order, the fact the 1st garage didn't the check the coilpacks was annoying all he did was change the spark plugs. When I had the original oil issue 2012-2016 (when there wasn't a solution until the oil jet fixes) I was copying all of 'Offski's' posts and others and studying the info so it was invaluable when I typed it all up for the 5 oil fixes@Skoda. If it wasn't for all the threads / posts I would have gave up a long time ago. 🙂
  19. The tuning garage found damaged wiring & broken plug part that connects to the coilpack so it's sorted now, it was strange how I noticed the issue a lot more with less fuel in so probably the subject heading is misleading now. All good reading but the key to solving is finding a good garage / mechanic. As well as all the other potential causes listed by members on here I am not as hands on as most, so thanks 🙂
  20. My local garage missed a problem on cylinder 3, which is prone to issues with plugs / coils, Got something similar going on myself at the minute!
  21. Finally forced a fault code out of it tonight on a 15 mile longer journey, so looks like it's cylinder 3, coil pack related P0353, same juddering with the brand new plugs, it's now booked in at different garage Friday but where it was originally tuned so they know the car anyway...
  22. Plugs been in 2 years but less than 10k, garage scanned it with VCDS couldn't find any codes whatsoever or anything wrong at all. Basically they couldn't replicate the 'chugging' vibration at low power / low revs. So all was done was change spark plugs and fit rear wiper motor. Just have to monitor it for now...
  23. 3/4 tank now and misFueling slight juddering problem is happening 8 or 9 mins into a 10 min journey. Then return journey same again but it's never a problem on start up, Still has reasonable boost for first 5 minutes! The local garage probably won't be able to get live data where it's booked on Friday but if he cant sort I've found the alternative tuning garage who did majority of work originally. Defo feels like fuel starvation, once it starts chugging then it won't go away until it's switched off.
  24. Cheers might need it, it was booked in today for rear wiper motor replacing so he didn't have time to start looking into misfire / juddering issue so we didn't do anything.. Have had to rebook next Friday so he can scan it with VCDS, and have a look at the spark plugs then Fuel Filter / Pump, I tried with Torque Pro and ODB2 and showed no errors at all but I know that doesn't look 'deep enough'.
  25. Still got a few 4L Castrol Edge Prof as get discount Costco, and yes used same one in MK3
