  1. On my phone so can't see signatures or tag but Oil has always been Castrol Edge & that only gets changed every service now. The 5 Skoda fixes did solve the oil issue, Most of my other issues always appear in winter, very short journeys car running cold. Fuel filter has been changed 5 times in 10 years, the tuning shop (which is not available now) and my local garage have always done good work for me. Will see what they come up with ie Plug condition, Fuel Pump / Filter. Surprised the car has lasted this long TBH
  2. Looked at my old receipts fuel pump never changed in 12 years so that could be failing- fuel filter done every 2 years, got some spare spark plugs as well just in case 1 of them close to failure & will ask if new garage has facility to scan. I was changing plugs from 2016 to 2019 every year averaging 4k miles a year (overkill really) however car ALWAYS runs better on summer days when oil is almost instantly warm. Don't know the difference between Shell Nitro and V Power but I've used (Super Shell) for about 9 out of 10 top ups. Maybe it is actually V power and didn't notice the name change...
  3. Was Running on Fumes during petrol crisis when it was really cold...that's when I switched to the Momentum Fuel, Plugs if you remember I was only member to burn through a Denso, so it's been platinums NGKs for last 4 years. Sounds like could be excess water moisture 💦 in tank. A few things to try eliminate then, thanks
  4. Gonna go through my old receipts I'm sure the fuel filter was done last year (SEP 21) , car is simply stage 1, not changed plugs in 2 years but hardly any miles done, Im based North West so it's Mainly Shell or Momentum that is above 98. Its just strange how the stuttering appears with lower fuel in the tank..
  5. How do you reset ECU? , the tuning shop I used for years (ADE) is only doing heavy motorsports mods now (Not general fault finding or service)
  6. I suspect fuel pump issue is there any way of putting my garage in right direction as Im there on Friday to sort the rear wiper motor out, I have full tank now and appears to be running fine. Does the fuel pump work harder with less fuel in the tank or is it just the gremlins again..
  7. Over last few months when fuel is getting Close to 1/3 empty strange rumbling not much power under acceleration, no warning lights. Feels like misfire or misfueling, like it's gonna stall, Mostly all winter been pottering around 20-30mph due to new job, the car does not like my new route to work ( no chance to blast anywhere) also changed to Tesco Momentum 99 December to try save money and this was the start of it, Just filled with Shell Nitro full tank tonight and everything back to normal (for now) though my last visit to top up was also Shell Nitro but it had half the Tesco Momentum in as well. How can it run like normal on a full tank (full boost) but then lose power as the fuel tank goes down) Is fuel getting contaminated? Guess I will know for certain at the end of this fuel top up which is 100% shell Nitro
  8. Took mine to garage today to show garage not working and it sprung back to life after being dead for a month! Needless to say it's booked in next Friday..
  9. I'm waiting to see an auto electrician, if I put the rear wiper to 'on position' it now just makes the number plate light 'flicker' on one side, so the wires must be worn & touching..
  10. This was the faulty part vid above ^^ when mine was losing coolant, had excessive play and yes there was a weird noise as well very noticeable on idle

  12. Have lost 'tension' in mine have to push the rear wiper blade down when stalk activated & it suddenly springs back into action... No good if you already set off tho...I have to do this at least once a week.. don't know what the fix is.
  13. No need, this video shows how to do it from the Dashboard . https://youtu.be/IAE2_11XQWc
  14. Not my car but someone with yeti same problem but running cool only showing 75c
  15. Does the manual oil temp gauge move from 90c ie past the 50% mark ,as I've seen mine at 107c on digital but it has never moved from 90C
  16. Mine was also running lumpy in DSG gears 3 to 4 before service think it was the fuel filter?? But best to change oil to something you know than rely on previous owner
  17. An aftermarket Radio you can switch between different colours, red - blue - green, all the others would have to be done manually, only ever tried it in an old Corsa years ago, but in the end I paid an auto electrician to do it and supplied the 'eBay kit',
  18. Leave it on the max line rather than min
  19. The workshop guys had both components in their hands, the good part had no play whereas the bad one above does.
  20. When my water pump was failing steam was coming out of my vented bonnet. VID_20210523_100314_854x480.mp4

  22. Could be related to that failing water pump part, I did a video of it in water pump thread I was hardly losing any coolant, is your compression ok in each cylinder (you may need this to be checked first)
  23. Nice colour, looks a bargain
  24. Spray on Autoglym Magma at the car wash, while queuing, then get blasted with water jet on all wheels, works a treat, as I have green wheels I can see there is loads of dust from the pads
