  1. I'm liking TomTom Amigo, I've got it to turn on on Bluetooth auto connect to headunit. So whilst the phone is in my pocket I get voice warning of speed cameras and now also when 5% may change to 10% above speed limit. Multiple options of +Mph or +% are available.
  2. I have MK2 and mine randomly would not lock or unlock, carista diagnosis hint the alarm horn, after replacing to-date no problems. Ive notice that locking on remote the beep is significantly louder, us yours quieter? New Skoda alarm was expensive, £160. If you can solder you could repair your alarm by replacing the alarm battery. Note the battery only lasts about 5 years, mine was 10 year-old.
  3. Downside maps not downloadable, so will not work when phone signal is not available. Also not forgetting the other sat nav rely on phone connection for traffic, so they'll not work either without a signal
  4. I've just installed TomTom amigo (free) and it is AA compatible, it showed up on AA on my Pioneer head unit
  5. I've looked the web site and no Beta, and it confuses me. My app says that I'm beta tester , though looking at licences I've got Premium lifetime for,.Basic World, Dash cam, Traffic EU, Traffic works, Real view navigation and World + Traffic. And sygic store says that Android Auto version is available and can be purchased at £33.49, expensive I'm not going leave beta in case I can't get back in. This install has AA https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sygic.aura Don't know if if it costs
  6. It is still in beta, in Google store select your installed Sygic app then scroll down and below developer contact is become a Beta tester select and follow instructions.
  7. I use Sygic , bought satnav , that is Android Auto compatible. https://www.sygic.com/what-is/android-auto-connectivity

  10. My youngest has a 55 Polo GT 1.9 with 230hp , he's thinking getting a Yeti 4x4 and dropping this engine into it. So your thought if a Octavia vrs sounds good. I've still have thoughts if getting another sports cat or hybrid turbo, but it's expensive, for mine.
  11. Sorry to hear about the gearbox, your enjoyable reads and updates will be missed. Any thoughts for the replacement and upgrade path, a 4x4 Crossover/SUV perhaps, Karoc, Seat Areca or VW T Roc.

Belgium is interesting in that the driver is registered and keeps that registration throughout his driving life. Transferring it to the new vehicle, the government pay and supply the rear plate, the driver is responsible to get a front plate, and have it stamped with Belgiums equivalent of road tax and insurance. By buying their own front plate it can be any style , can have his registration in style of an Irish or UK for that matter, but rear cannot be stylised.

My son wanted to buy me one for xmas, kept looking for my initials or name and combinations, soon realised I didn't want a registration that instantly displayed my name or initials, plus they're expensive. So thought of an NI plate with the 4 numbers representing a number that was personal to me, which I did. Also a lot cheaper. Mine originate probably close from you, Fermanagh, I have relatives Bailieborough Co. Cavan. Carrigart, Co. Donegal and Belfast. So it means its less conspicuous that a UK AANNBCD reg

You can when it's a dateless Northern Ireland registration. NI plates are three letters, and 4 numbers in the range of 1001 to 9999, with no indication of year of registration or age. In my case the three letter combination started issue with 1001 in June 18 are sequentially upto 9999. After which the next three letter combination will start at 1001.

Have no problems with tensioner since was changed end if 2018, and was only changed cuz I was having the LSD and clutch changed. I have had a monthly payment service plan contract with a local independent VAG garage for alternating yearly servicing based in 9000 and 18000 recommend servicing since I bought the car in 2016. Prior to me the car had yearly oil changes which I've continued. I bought with 62k now 103k. With respect to the Bridgestones A005 I've just replaced the fronts with MK2 versions, they'd only had 4mm left, still think they are the best tyres I've ever had, wet grip is fantastic. Oh I've just changed the registration , youngest son bought for xmas, to NI dateless one, on investigation it a relatively newly issued one , 2019 or 2020
