  1. This happened to my wife's Fabia on the passenger side earlier this year & was fixed by local VAG specialist for £230. Passenger side has now gone & she now has the all in one warranty so will it be covered by this?
  2. She's actually been quoted under £600 by the main dealer. I've got a 1.5 Karoq Sportline so am now saving up for mine!
  3. Just asking for the mother-in-law. She has a T-Roc coming up to 5 years & has had an email from VW advising her to get the Campbeltown changed. She's only don 5500 miles in it. Is it really necessary to have it changed?
  4. Got some of these yesterday. Instant ear relief!
  5. I've got a 70 plate Sportline which will be 2 years old in September. Message has appeared saying oil service is due in 30 days but on the service info it says inspection service in 125 days. Is it OK to wait for the inspection service? I've topped the oil up once. I've got 2 services for £159 each as part of the offer when I bought it. Thanks for any advice.
  6. I've got a Sportline 1.5 TSI & I have a rattle like yours but no spare tyre just the repair kit. I have scoured the boot, had the seats up & down & can't find the source. Same with me, anyone have any ideas before I contact the dealer?
  7. My 1.5 tsi manual was manufactured March 2018. I've never had the major problems others have with kangarooing etc.. but since it's just been serviced it is noticeably smoother in 1st/2nd gear. Obviously an upgrade done. Just relieved I never had the ball ache others have. Overall they're cracking cars. Hoping to upgrade to a Sport Line when my current PCH is done but they are a bit expensive.
  8. I got it new on a pch from main dealer. I recently had a low oil level light flash up & topped it up with some of Halfords finest ( mistake??) & since then I've noticed the stop/start not working as usual although I have put this down to the cold weather. Could this explain the stop/start issue and/ or the service message?
  9. I've got 1.5 Karoq & just flashed up Oil Service in 30 days but inspection in 92 days also on the service menu. Car is about 19 months old & I've done just under 11000 miles. Does this sound right?
  10. I'd go along with pretty much everything you said there mate. I've got a 1.5 SE Tech manual & fortunately have had none of the issues some others have had. Only slight disappointment is fuel consumption cos I'm only getting about 35mpg but my daily commute is about 17 miles overall with lots of stop/start, rush hour traffic & waiting to get in car parks so I suppose this explains a lot. I've been back & forth over the Snake Pass a few times recently with no problems & always feel relaxed & comfortable when I get home. I came from a diesel Octavia VRS which I miss for the torque & speed off the mark but refinement wise no contest. Best car I've ever had..not sure but definitely one of the best. I like the VRS styling so ? an Octavia petrol next time. Love look of the Kodiaq VRS & Karoq Sportline but both expensive. I'm jealous of your heated windscreen, seats & steering wheel in this weather though!
  11. No problems here. Had it for 6 months - manual. No complaints except maybe about slightly disappointing fuel consumption.
  12. Just to add my input I've had no kangarooing issues at all. 1.5 SE Technology manual 1st registered July 18. Little bit disappointed with the fuel economy & power coming from an Octavia diesel vrs but otherwise happy with the drive, position & manoeuvreability of the car. Been back & forth to Sheffield over the Snake pass recently & no problems. Am I the lucky one ?
  13. Twas the dealer who advised to ignore it. It was the same with the wife's Fabia - she had the oil service message after 1 year & when she rang up they asked her to bring the car in & then removed the message - this was Alex Lawrie. I got mine from Simpson's Preston & was told to ignore &/or come in & have the message removed by them cos it's on a variable service. I didn't realise the car would tell me if it needs some sort of service - I thought it was preset so it needs just a service at 2 years or 20000 miles whichever is soonest. This is the way the salesmen explained it - do they know the correct routine themselves?
  14. In my service book the code indicates it's on variable servicing. So if it asked for an oil service last year would the dealer have set it to a fixed service when its actually preset in the factory to variable servicing?
  15. My PCH on my VRS is due to end on the last day of July this year. It's on variable servicing of 2 years or 20000 miles - I've done just under 12000 so far so won't reach the 20000 by the end of July. I had a message appear last year advising oil service but was advised to ignore this or take it to the dealer I got it from to have it taken off. I've just left it as the dealer is quite a way away & I've not been up that way since. I've just had a message appear advising inspection service but I'm planning to hand the car back in July before the 2 years is up. I have a Karoq ready to pick up from Alex Lawrie when I've made my last payment on the 1st July for the VRS. I've rang the dealer (Simpson's Preston) & they advised the service should be done if the message has appeared & then rang Skoda finance who said the same & that they would not take the car back with any service messages visible. I was trying to avoid paying for the service before handing back but sounds like this won't be possible. Any thoughts or similar experiences?
  16. I don't usually like using textspeak but in this case....LOL!!
