  1. Managed to sort it out quickly - just undone the 17mm mounting bolt at the other end, this allowed the seatbelt to retract and then extend correctly. Is quite a common issue along the VAG platforms it seems - now when lowering the seats, I'll be pulling the seatbelt out slightly before lowering to prevent this happening again.
  2. Afternoon all, My rear middle seat belt won't pull out at all - I've already tried the trick of feeding some in and pulling out, but it's only made it tighter. I removed the bolt and bracket and no luck. Unfortunately when the rear seat back is up and in position, the tension on the seat belt is now ridiculous. (Pushing against the leather, can only get 1 finger underneath). I can see the mechanism but can't get to it like a normal one, as it's part of the rear seat. Can anyone help? Tips, tricks, solutions! For info, car is a 2006 Superb Edition 100. Cheers! Jamie.
  3. What I didn't mention is that I'll be travelling 600 miles per weekend during that period - will be throwing the winters on next week, they may wear quicker, but realistically they'll just sit in the garage otherwise!
  4. Afternoon all, When is too early to put on winter tyres? I understand the temperature range is usually when below 7 degrees C, but I will be away from home for the next 8 weeks (until Christmas), so is it worth throwing them on next week before I go?
  5. Worst winter ever this year... Apparently! Get these whilst you can, I genuinely won't dismiss any good offers. They're just sat in my garage and are no use to me (wrong fitment for my Superb).
  6. Still sat in the garage. Will be available for the whole of October, after that, they won't be available until late December (away with work) so get them before the weather comes in.
  7. Had a few PM's with offers, so thought I'd put my reply on here also. My firm price is: £165 delivered to your door (UK Mainland via Paisley freight). This is nice and cheap! But id rather someone use them then sit in my garage.
  8. Offers welcome, just taking up space when they could be used!
  9. If you have the time, patience, space and means to, then breaking would give you a larger return rather then scrapping. It all depends on what you value, either your time and effort stripping it down, potentially taking you away from other parts of your life, or, a grand and a half in parts sales over the next year?
  10. I believe you just need 5 X 112 stud fitment as above. Alot of VW range cars use this. For example, my (new to me) Superb, is a 5 X 112 stud pattern, hence why these are for sale!
  11. Still for sale, taking up room in the garage. Offers welcome.
  12. Worth getting in early for some winter wheels / tyres before people start looking and the prices go up! I'm open to offers obviously.
  13. 4 x genuine 16" VW / Audi steel wheels with winter tyres as follows: 205/55/16 2 x Fulda Kristall HP (Approx 4mm) 2 x Nokia WR D3 (Approx 7mm) All have had a DIY garage respray to smarten them up. Two coats of primer, two coats of paint, two coats of laquer. All wheels: Wheel 1 Wheel 2 Wheel 3 Wheel 4 Markings on wheels: Price: £150 Pick up from Ipswich - willing to post at buyers expense (paisley freight is usually approx £30 - £40 to UK mainland).
  14. Autoglass ordered the one from TPS to be fair, took some time to come from Germany. Had it fitted today and all good, perfect colour match. Just an awkward piece of glass to get hold of apparently!
  15. I would suggest not going on coilovers and getting some decent suspension. Mine is on Bilstein B8 matched with H&R springs - it's a perfect fast road combination which, in all, doesn't lower the car that much either.
  16. Still no luck, Autoglass say it's still on backorder, spoke to a local window place, who said TPS have found one in Germany (But approx £500!). I may go down the route he suggested, fit a standard window and have it tinted as close as possible to the current glass, this will cost £70+ VAT which isn't too bad.
  17. Tech1e - i didn't realise this window was part of the seal, hopefully an easy job to replace. Nige - funnily enough, I've found one being broken in my town, so messaged them to see if I can go and look, hopefully it's the sunset glass and not aftermarket tint.
  18. Just for information, avoid at all costs replacing this window! Autoglass and their supplier can't find one anywhere, and it's on "back order"... I.e. there isn't one. Now a waiting game for a phone call, could be a day, could be a month apparently.
  19. Called Autoglass on Saturday, will be replacing as soon as they can find one! For now, duct tape will suffice!
  20. Ah ok, well, will see what I can come up with! May be an expensive replacement!
  21. Nige, on there unfortunately it just says it's a window, doesn't give a part number! I'm going to call autoglass today and see if they can replace like for like.
  22. Good afternoon all, Had a nightmare today, rear window smashed, need a replacement! So, can anyone take a photo of their Superb MK1 with Sunset glass for the part number please? (See picture for what window). I've found some online / eBay but nothing that matches with the sunset glass. Also, if anyone has anywhere decent to buy one, please let me know! Cheers, Jamie.
  23. Wet sanded the headlights today, they let the car down having a yellow tinge and cloudy look. For 10 mins work, worked really well! Original a couple of weeks back when I got the car...
  24. Jimbo - I may take you up on that offer at some point - i'm not too far away, im in Ipswich. The only reason i thought something was missing is that there was some sealant left over above the exhaust, plus, looks like it needs something!
