  1. I really need the one for the white mongrel 2.... The program I did have does not seem to work right. Anyone know of any software I can use to access my car and find this number? I really don't want to have to go to my dealer and get all coding work etc done by them = ££££!!!

i take it your using VAgtacho right?

    What version are you running?

    cheers

    John

  2. it looks like the older type thule bars mate.

You can still get fixing kits for it from halfords as the halfords own brand bars are an exact copy of the older style thule bars.

The rubber pads and the rubber coated brackets are interchangeable so it can be fitted to many types of car.

Just from looking at the pics i couldnt tell you what bars they are for tho :o

Ps just read your pm mate, ill investigate tonight and get back to ya

Off to america first thing in the morning but should have internet access over there :D

  3. Weve had 4 xc90's now. 2 x T6 and 2 D5's

The second one was a lemon we think, when it was traded in it was:

    A) permenantly stuck in 4x4 (my fault)

    B) the turbo was on its way out (my fault)

    C) the brakes were shot and the tyres were all unevenly worn (my fault)

    D) water leak in front foot well ( this wasnt my fault :P)

The others were all spot on.... never missed a beat. (i didnt drive them though)

My volvo s40 has also had its fair share of faults. turbo went after 5 days of owner ship (my fault)

Traction control developed a fault and switched itself permenantly off (maybe my fault)

Can anyone see a trend?

Other than that they are cracking cars..... the T6 xc90 will actually light all four tyres up coming off a roundabout sideways..... the D5's are boring.

  4. I am here!

    Hey Karl. Hows things?

Id help out but the next couple of weeks are very busy for me. off to the states for a few weeks begining of November.

Its easy easy easy peasy. With about 6-7 splitter fits under my belt heres my advice

start in the middle, get the whole slitter central on the car. then screw the flaps to the underside of the bumper using small self tappers.. working from the center out.

The last of all once your happy trim the ends off with a junior hacksaw blade.

    Good Luck.

  5. Take it no one has ever had a remap or cant answer my question lol.

Is there a forum where people answer question on skodas? thought this was the place to chat and share ideas.....

not rating this forum at all

the reason no-one has answered is because all the info you require can be found using the search button :P

  6. Thanks for that helpful and witty reply. I did not fully understand what the guy from the transmission place meant, hence my dumb *** explanation. He said I need to readjust something in the cover plate or clutch or dmf. Anyone know what he is on about.

It is advisable to replace the clutch release bearing when changing the clutch. costs about 40 quid and is money well spent while you have the gearbox off.

They are hydraulic in their operation so maybe this is where the "hyrdraulic lifter" is coming from? lol

  7. No deposit this time (PayPal messing me around). Just gonna trust everyone and divide the cost equally on the day. Cash in full.

Names added to SNet list !

    Ok pal.

If i were to buy a cheap car with no MOT and tax would i be able to put it on the track? Obviously it would be inspected to road worthyness condition before.

Non of my cars atm are in a condition to be put on the track, one has no engne and the other doesnt like tracks ;)

Who wants to put together to get a briskoda track car? lol maybe a cheap mk2 golf gti or the like? fiesta? hahaha

  8. hi just collected my new front arb as my current 1's bushes are cracked. Told by the parts chappy the rubber bushes had also been upgraded so i got them as well but never mentioned if i needed the support brackets as well. Well do i need them or are they still same part number. 53 plate car

    Many thanks

I didnt change them on either mine or wardys.

I changed the bushes and the part number of those were......

    6Q0 113 14N

The orginal brakets fitted fine with the bushes i had. IIRC it was only the bar that got revised.

The bar i used on wardys was 6Q0 411 305AC

    Hope this helps

  9. Ok so the front bumper is nasty and there's a dodgy sticker on the drivers door...

But other than that is it actually too different from anyone else's here? I could well be wrong, and please say if I am, but with the front bumper and sticker removed it would be ok.

Not sure if its worth a 3 page slagging session....

    its yours isnt it

The car is no-where near 185bhp (the nice round numbers are always wrong!) so that is false advertisement in its self.
