  1. Bank loan better option. Not restricted by miles etc and get rid and get a new car whenever you want. 9 times out of 10 it'll work out cheaper too. I got mine on a 2.9% Sainsbury bank loan. Manged to get 23% off list price too so I could sell this car now and actually make a profit clearing the loan.
  2. It seems to be more a noise coming from engine rather than a rattle in the cabin or under the car.
  3. Not sure if this is a standard 'feature' or not but sometimes when accelerating I get a strange rattle when accelerating between 2,000 and 2,500 rpm. Kind of as if something is a little loose in the engine. But sometimes it doesn't happen. I'll try get a video of the sound to see if other have it or not. It's a TDI vRS.
  4. Saw my first face lift today in Southampton. Still looked as horrendous with those lights in the flesh as the photos on here.
  5. Best to suck it up. It's one of those things. Most insurance companies allow a claim for windscreen replacement without affecting no claims. Had mine replaced on my BMW last year I think it cost £25 excess and was sorted the next day.
  6. Yes all good in hindsight however I have had the car 2 months now so going to remove myself.
  7. How much do they help in reducing the mud and other crap under the rear bumper by the wheels? I find this area always require the most care and time when cleaning.
  8. I would like to.. 1) Get rid of the dealer supplied number plate surround with a plain one, no fancy vRS surrounds just plain black will be fine 2) Remove dealer stickers from the windows Can anyone recommend a decent surround and also a way of removing the stickers without leaving behind an awful mess! I hate being a free mobile advertising board for the dealer!
  9. I've had 2 TSI's and now own a TDI. Not noticed the difference to be fair. Maybe a seconds or so 0-60 but who notices that unless you're on a track? I get on average 45 to 50mpg with a mixture of stop start town and a little bit of motorway. Regens aren't an issue. They just run in their own time.
  10. I have to disagree with this thread. Not noticed any of theses issues and I think the DSG is great! One of the best auto gearboxes out there.
  11. What journeys are you taking? Even so don't worry about it. If you interrupt it, the car will just carry on. It's designed to do it with no worries.
  12. I think I will get it coded so needs to more than 2 seconds. Seems a lot easier to control that way.
  13. If driving at night and just cleaned the car, I don't want to have to turn my lights off in order to clean the windscreen. Likewise I don't want to cover the front and sides of the car in screenwash.
  14. Yes at low speed over bumps I notice the beam wobble. Presume normal and just the levelling unit of the lights moving on the bump.
  15. Ah I was test this I thought the 10 would be a rolling count even if switching car off. Is there a way to stop it doing it on first start? Sometimes i just want a quick 1/4 second spray on windscreen without covering the car in screenwash at the front.
  16. I've found that when my headlights are on, every time I activate the screen wash, the lights wash each time too. Can it be coded so they only wash the lights say 1 in 10 activation's?
  17. Exactly I have nav as standard and stream via bluetooth from spotify. Phone is in a cradle attached to windscreen.
  18. Depends what interest you are getting. Fairly easy to work out. Some PCP deals have 6/7% interest. I bought my car outright with a bank loan from Sainsburys. 2.8% at the moment. Much better than PCP and you're not tied in to any contract with the car.
  19. No say... I'm looking for my new car, what will you offer me for trade in? Hopefully the price they give you covers the £1500 you owe on the finance. I would try clear the finance or wait rather than VT. Whilst VT doesn't leave a mark on credit score, it does show up so fiance companies may thin twice about opening up another PCP.
  20. Get a deal from the garage and see if they'll pay off the £1500 by effectively buying the car and clearing the finance. That way no need to VT.
  21. Is there anywhere online you can purchase a code for this or does it have to be via the dealer?
