  1. Is yours standard height (for a vrs?) - I have this exact spec hopefully arriving this week! Very lovely motor!
  2. Reviving this thread - now have a set of Eibach springs ready to go on to the car when it arrives next week. Anyone in the UK had the dealer fit springs? OR Anyone in the UK had lowering springs fitted and then had a warranty issue with shocks or related parts?
  3. That's one hell of a luxury! Anyone done this in the UK? Dealer fit springs? Sorry chaps - have found a thread relating to this issue exactly and revived it, feel free to ignore this post (or mod can delete).
  4. Love it - had a bit of a break (4 years) and just got back into it, so everything is shiny once again (helmet, leathers etc!) It's awesome, had some cracking rides on it - first 'sensible' bike I've had and loving the torque grunt. Previous are ZX10-R and a CBR600, the ninja was an absolute beast and the CBR was the nicest entry into riding I could've hoped for. A good selection from the forum then! Do you guys meet up?
  5. Cheers, I imagine this is where the real passions are! Currently on a Z1000SX. What about everyone else?
  6. I'm interested in this too - with a 66 plate vrs currently on the boat!
  7. Can highly recommend BATVANVRS - rapid shipping, incredibly informative and helpful. Top marks!
  8. Hi all - new Skoda owner, but have been a biker for almost a decade now. Good to see a car forum have a biking section!
  9. Do you mind if I ask how you got the dealer to fit the springs? Which dealer?
  10. This is great advice - I've managed to source my own springs (Eibach), so I could have a word with the dealer and get them to fit them for me? Will let you know how I get on!
  11. Actually - do you know what, I'll take them! PM me your details and I'll send over some dollar.
  12. No worries - I thought as much. I'll just have to keep it standard for a while then! Boo!
  13. Cool, thanks mate - just trying to find out if I'll knacker my warranty with this mod, if not then I'll take them! Will keep you updated.
  14. I declare to insurers, used to having bikes and they rarely charge extra for slight mods (hoses, cans etc) - this will be the first car that I've actually thought it's worth doing anything to. I guess car insurers are a bit different though! I suppose what I really mean, is - has anyone taken their vRS back to the dealer for the service with lowering springs on etc, and the dealer's kicked off because of the aftermarket work that's been done?
  15. Slight modifications and warranty = ??? What are the forums thoughts on this? Would I get into much bother if I did one or two things, eg stage 1 and lowering springs?
  16. Thankyou! I certainly hope so! Hello V6. Literally counting the days!
  17. I ordered mine on the 20th - it was at Factory exit then so should be here in a couple of weeks, depending on the currents in the North Sea I guess... Oh well, the longer the vRS takes the more the rental Mokka gets punished! On speaking to the dealer re running in, he's told us to drive it how we want it to be driven. At times, I drive hard - and I want the car to work for me in that respect. So on his advice I will be showing the car how to behave from the off.
  18. I must've got one of the last - was at Factory exit on Saturday afternoon! Hopefully will take delivery in a few weeks.
  19. Ordered a new Octavia vRS Estate, 3 weeks until we take delivery so thought I'd spend the time browsing the forum! Currently in an Accord Tourer that's having a few clutch issues (not cost effective to fix)... Can't wait for the new one to arrive!
