Here is how i changed my switch on Skoda Superb 3 2016.

Yes the switch can be changed in the box. You have picture from insight the shifter box in attach but to do that you have to disassemble whole central part in the car from the rear to the climatronic.

I opened from the top on superb 2016 and there is no switch, it is insight the box so superb users the solution is change the complete box.
