  1. Both front ones behave the same. Rear ones that are charge only are fine.
  2. Thank you. im a victim of the ‘let’s not give them a cigarette lighter’ boardroom decision so its all USB-C but you’re right about the timing. Plugged in before firing up the car does the trick. Still annoying but that seems to sort it. for those wondering about the cable - _100% genuine apple item. Cheers.
  3. Hi All. I have wireless car play and it’s great. I play music with Spotify. When I plug my phone in to one of the 2 USB-c socket the phone starts to charge - but music pauses. Hit play - it plays for a second or two - and pauses again. Disconnect cable - all is well. 🤷‍♂️
  4. Got my new VRS. One brolly. Drivers side. I told Mrs C I was keeping the two from my superb when I part exchanged. She told me not to bother. Wish I’d ignored her. There ought to be two. Bugger.
  5. Car 2015kg. Car can tow 1600kg totalling 3615 as I read it.
  6. Hi All got my new car today. no factory towbar prep Please see photo of weights. as I understand it the 2nd weight is a total car + trailer. Right?
  7. thanks - - clear sill cover? Is that one of those strips of thick sticky plastic / roll of tape or something more substantial?
  8. I'm thinking about protecting the boot area from scuffs & scrapes - what have you all used? Thanks.
  9. It's wooden covered by felt/fabirc. Used the car for 7 years. It's not my 'belief' it would break. It broke. At one point the brackets nearest the rear seats gave way... so i had to repair and improvise. It was full up for a camping trip but didn't drop the floor. My bad. Noticed the wonky floor when I unloaded the car.
  10. I have the variable floor in the superb and it's good as it makes the whole lot flat - BUT - it can't hold that much weight without breaking (note to self). I guess I'll be on the lookout for a spare wheel / insert. As ever not keen on paying main dealer prices where not completely necessary.
  11. Thanks for your input & opinions everyone. I guess there's no hard & fast answer. Maybe what I'll do is stick 'petrol' in it - and every now & again when I've got a spare fiver, I'll treat it to a tank of the good stuff and give it a bit of welly. Might go easy on it - leavei it be and just keep using the wife's mini instead...
  12. Hi Everyone. In the next week or so I'll get my new Octavia estate. My impatience would not allow me to wait a few months for a new one - so I've agreed to buy one already specc'd and shipped to UK in return for a nice discount, and a good price for my Superb. It's the colour I wanted, but has ZERO options ticked. Not even the spare wheel. Got me thinking - what bits of accessories have you all gone for after the event? What would you definiitely buy again - or NEVER again. Not talking about the likes of the sunroof that isn't possible, but more the flip over boot mat, the bin - or even the aftermarket non-oem stuff off eBay like keyfob covers, fluffy dice or them little flappy paddle extenders for the gear changes. What's great - what's crap? 😃
  13. My question isn't about what fuel you choose to buy - it's if there's a suggestion from Skoda or other qualified parties that tells me which way we ought to go with this. I need to establish If it's the case that you buy V-Power because the marketing & power of TV advertising dragged you in - or if you buy it as Skoda advise that's what we all ought to be doing - regardless of the cost. Thanks.
  14. Hi everyone, I haven’t posted here for sometime. I bought my first Skoda in 2017. A 2.0 diesel Superb. And I’ve had diesel cars for as long as I can remember. The car has never let me down, in seven years and 90,000 miles. It’s just chime for a change. The only regret I ever had was not investing in something, a little bit, more powerful and a little bit more fun to drive. As a result, I pulled the trigger on a new petrol VRS. Forgive me, I have searched the forum. I’m trying to discover if it is suggested that my new car should run on premium unleaded or just the regular stuff. When working out what my additional cost will be, I’m well aware that I will no longer be getting 50 mpg+. I am comfortable with that, I just don’t know if it’s actually even worse than I thought because of having to buy posh petrol!? UK based. Cheers.
