It's a no go for me now, have overtime ontop of my normal shifts all week then Saturday shift too (need to pay for that visit to Auto-Tune).

Ryan is usually not to bad to pay and he is first class with him work. I highly recommend auto tune in Ballymena. Stay awake from Torque Tronic in Kells as that guy has made a lot of cars **** themselves in the rollers. Auto Tune is very competitive with performance air filters, induction kits and milltek exhausts also although Darren at Powerflow  in Antrim is hard to beat for a large bore quality stainless steel exhaust system.

So who's for Castlewellan then? If we're serious about trying to get a 'site stand' (loosest sense of the word) we would probably need to get a bit of a heads up to the GTI-NI chaps.

I'm booked in on the Campsite so will be there from the Friday...

Sorry have been  busy and no spare time to of been on here until now. Yes I will be at Castlewellan so put my name down also. It's a bit of a drive so seriously guys my car may not be pristine condition due to road film and the flies which really love my right foot but I will defo be there. Thanks for the compliment 02VRS on my car.

  3. Guy had longish hair and very frizzy with glasses. He looked like a stoner to be honest and was in his mid 50s. I'll get a few pics up of the VRS and Cormac81 your more than welcome to buy the VRS as need to get rid of a 2 or 3 cars. Seriously I have no room left and cars fill the driveway, road at the front of the house, now on front lawn also and taking up the space out the front of my neighbour also

  4. Thanks. Fix up the few minor defects the car has and keep it standard and original except maybe for a set of 17 or 18" Alloys. Going to keep this car and try not to clock up to many miles on it. I will bring it to the event in June and get to meet you fellows in person.

Guy I bought it from was in the flats just past m&s and the car was kept round the back in an ally. In all fairness the guy didn't look like he had the money to fuel it never mind own it. Car definitely drives 100% and has outstanding bodywork for the age apart from the sent in the front wing and couple of scrapes on the front bumper. The eejit had dogs in the rear of the car though and hairs everywhere which are a pain to get lifted. I enjoy this 4x4 that much I am actually contemplating selling my VRS as I have to many vehicles now. This makes 7 cars and a transit van and room is becoming an issue now.

  5. 9Guy on the lisburn road had it and there was not much wrong with it when I went and looked at it. Have a service history until 72k and then just a few receipts but very original car. No marks or any issues except a slight dent on front ps wing and the interior light switch is cracked but everything else is 100%. Lovely to drive and amazing the difference the 4wd makes to the handling. Will take this to the event in June instead of the VRS.

  6. Naw you can never take the p*#s owning these legends not even if you have a fleet of them lol. For a sports vehicle built on a budget they never stop to amaze me. If I had the space I would have 5-6 of these beauties but I have 4 cars at the minute and a transit van so no more room but still very tempted with the limited edition octy 2 vrs for sale.

Happy motoring and enjoy your new purchase :tongueout:

  7. No bother mate...Thanks for the info. I am now going to get a 3" s/s exhaust from the Turbo back with a straight pipe only until the rear box with will be a larger oval shape box than standard size for a deeper sound and a 7 x 5" tailpipe tailor made by powerflow exhausts. I was looking at milltex but the downpipe and decat section were a ridiculous price. I was just unsure if I would have the clearance using 3" Bore.
