    Still available?

Can I get a picture of the dials issue?

What happened to the gearbox? Was the clutch replaced when fixed?

I will go out take a picture now for you to show you. You don't really notice the issue to be honest. The gearbox was rebuilt properly with new clutches, fluids and seals. It was done by Dartford Transmissions so a specialist and they provide it with 12 months warranty.

    Yes, vehicle is still available.

  3. I have Team Heko ones fitted on my car. I didn't use the metal clips - just the 3M strips. It took a little while for them to bed in, and one of them has dropped down a little bit. Most annoying feature is the wind noise, which I find to be excessive. It is so bad that I would like to take them off but I really like the look of them.

  4. 1.3LXi, 1997, 112,800-ish at the moment (and rising as in daily use). Recent new engine mounts and gearbox mount (genuine parts), replacement front struts from a MK2, Rally Red, 5 owners from new. Limited history before my ownership but full history from my ownership with it (inc. fuel consumption data). Two quality front tyres recently fitted (and one mid-range tyre only yesterday when I picked up the remnants of a knife blade in a supermarket car-park!). Arch covers fitted (arches were fully rubbed down and treated with red oxide primer before these were fitted to keep tinworm at bay), SLXi Velour interior fitted. GLi Alloy wheels. No PAS (couldn't fit that from the donor car due to detail differences between the engines) but not really an issue to be honest. No central locking, no electric windows or mirrors. Rev counter fitted.

Virtually rust-free underneath - documentary evidence of brake pipes being changed approx 7 years ago, front to back. In very good condition considering it's year. As always with a Felly, ultra-reliable and very economical - I see 37-38mpg daily out of the car and that's mainly urban driving!

Slight lacquer peel on the bonnet and (at the moment, but I will endeavour to fix this if the car is sold) the airbag light is on (suspected dash fault).

Holler if you need to know any more details!

Is this the one you posted on the SOCGB Facebook page the other day?

  5. There's a 1.3 MK2 on a V plate up for sale near to me - dark green coloured hatch. Dealer's asking £295.

However, parked outside my house at the moment is a pre-facelift 1.3LXi Estate, with the 68bhp MPi engine. I don't really want to part with it, but would do to another enthusiast who's going to help her go on to live a long and fruitful life.....

My only need is for a vehicle that will be able to permanently carry a wheelchair, so the Felly hatch, nor the Fabia hatch are any good for me.

    Any details?

  6. In recent years I've seen countless Felicias advertised that I would have liked to have homed but didn't have the space. They had low mileage, low owner counts and were in lovely original condition with little to no rust. I had one myself, a lovely pea green L. I sold mine last year but fancy another now. I've been looking for a little while and I can't find anything that fits the bill - have they really all disappeared?

Has anyone got one they want to sell? I want a 1.3, pre-facelift. Not bothered by hatch or estate, but would prefer a 68bhp engine.

    Cheers.

  7. I'm away from home at the moment but from memory the red car is based on a Kaden model that was then modified by hand. It is number 1 of 200.

The other two are IXO I think.

I'll be honest they weren't cheap... £45 minimum each ... but the quality is up there. The picture doesn't do them justice. Sometimes you can find some rally Octavias going cheaply on eBay; although I've only ever seen the night rally one that I have once .. and I paid £60+ for that (just don't tell my wife!)

  8. Did you replace it with new or used, genuine or non genuine? I think mine will probably need changed aswell and I could easily change just the micro switch on its own but it looks like a lot of faffing about so would probably change the whole lock mech. They can be obtained ed on eBay for under 20 quid but m not sure if they'd be all that great?

I sourced a part from a car being broken (from YellowCar incidentally).

  9. Yeah it sounds a similar issue. I've still not had the chance to get it coded but I'm off the rest of the week so hopefully I get some of the issues ironed out.

How was the micro switch to replace? Did you do the whole mechanism or just the switch itself? I'm hop g after coding that everything works but knowing my luck it won't.

I changed the whole lock mechanism. :)

  10. The Kaden models really aren't great value. I mean I like them because they were made in Czech in the late 90s and have a period feel to them, but for outright quality you need to look elsewhere.

I had forgotten to take the pictures, but I have now. Just waiting for them to upload.

Thanks. Down to one Rapid now. The silver one was the last one they ever made. Quite a special car.

  11. I took my door card off and found a small amount of corrosion inside the connector, I cleaned it and put it back together and my locking stopped working randomly on its own but not all doors would lock with the remote.

I had it scanned and there were so so many faults linked to the convenience module so I sourced a replacement with the exact same number. I fitted it but now nothing works so it will definately need coded me thinks which I've been told is easy to do via vcds?

I also dried out my drivers footwell as it was soaking in there but it's wet again!! Anyone know where the water comes in? I've had a look and feel about but can't locate it. My car smells quite damp inside now.

Does everyone else that has water in the motor also have damp floors??

Sounds to me like you are having the same fault as me. I think it must be sorted with coding, but what I don't know is what needs coding or altering. I have asked on the VCDS part of the forum so I will let you know of any updates: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/380215-octavia-i-central-locking-electric-windows-fault/

I don't have the same issue with wet footwells, but then I don't have a sunroof so that could well be the cause?

  12. Morning all.

I hope you can help. I have been having major issues with my 2002 Octavia vRS. The full details can be found here (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/377567-help-me-love-my-octavia-again-central-locking-elec-window-issues/) but the heads and tails of it is that having replaced the door microswitch, the complete door wiring loom, convenience module and the electric window motor regulator, I am still left with electric windows that don't work, an interior light that doesn't work and remote central locking that doesn't work.

I am fairly certain that I have eliminated all of the physical problems in the system, so I am now led to believe that the fault lies in the coding. However, I am no coding genius, so I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience or suggestions? Is it a coding fault? Where should I start looking?

To that end, if there is anyone who is handy with a VCDS cable around the Swindon area I'd be very greatly obliged of any help.

    Thanks.
