  1. Hi, Update so far. Tried a full anticlockwise turn of the headlight adjusters, couldn't see too much movement when watching the light beam on my garage door, so I need a dark country lane where I can measure the beam length. Alternatively need an OBD 11 to investigate settings or spend £130 quid or Osram light bulbs, can't afford much more expenditure on the car after timing belt, insurance excess, 5 tyres, oil service and MOT. This is proving to be a real pain and a dangerous one at that. Thanks for all your support Tony
  2. I'm in the Milton Keynes area if anyone can help out for beer tokens.
  3. Hi Awesam Thanks for the reply, where would I get an obd11 from and is it easy to use? Thanks Tony
  4. Gizmo, How do I put the headlights into service position? Thanks Tony
  5. Guys, Tried manual adjustment of the headlights but cant be sure of the correct direction of the adjustment raise the beam, is it clockwise or counterclockwise? Regards Tony
  6. I have looked up Osram Nightnreaker Lasers and can find many, which ones are you referring to? and do you know what type the bulbs are H7? I believe mine are bi-xenons. Thanks Tony
  7. Hi Guy's Yet again many thanks for the advice. Has anyone been subject to the 95K1 software recall for headlights and did it make any difference? Where is the adjustment screen located to adjust the beam height, maybe worth a try with some better quality light bulbs. Again thank you for your comments. Tony
  8. Great video, your lights are brilliant compared to mine. To the dealer this Friday for a light check and see where go from there. Thanks JR RS
  9. Thanks for all the help and advice. The headlamps were perfect then some time after a service and code refresh I started to notice the distance of the beams to be very short and had to drive very slowly unless on full beam. Anyone no the full distance of the beams for Xenon?
  10. Hi Guys, Quick update, took the car to my local trusted VAG specialist for an oil service, saving £75 and asked them to look at the headlight issue. They took to to a local MOT station and had the lights checked and said they were within MOT tolerances, but the beam is still so short and dangerous. I will try the 95K1 software recall for headlights as suggested by JR RS. any other known solutions please let me know asap as the dark night draw in. Many thanks in advance for all suggestions. Tony
  11. Hi Sorry yes the spec is SE L with bi xenons.
  12. Hi, I have previously started a post on here regarding the very poor, probably dangerous range of my headlights, it seemed a common thread. Took the car to my local VAG specialist for an oil service and asked them to check the headlights, they took the car to a local MOT station and had them checked, came back saying they are set up correctly from a MOT perspective. To me the beam is still too far short and I have to drive at very slow speeds on unlit roads. I am looking for suggestions/ideas on how I go about getting this very annoying problem resolved quickly especially with the dark nights drawing in. Thanks In advance. Tony
