Hi, I've been having some water ingress lately and I assumed to be the driver door that is a little misaligned, the car started to smell a little like mildew and so did the carpet, so I switched back to rubber mat, but today to my surprise I found out It wasn't comming from the door seals or drains, but from under the footwell itself, could this be a blocked scuttle drain ?

Thank you for the insight, but they also came on audi a4's and other models. I already have new knuckles for both sides and two later model ATE calipers, so I'm just missing the brake lines and the caliper bracket, would the brackets I showed above fit?
-
Hey guys, I am upgrading to 288 brakes on the front, already have the knuckles and the calipers and now I'm hunting for the adaptors. I came across some from a audi a4 b5 and was wondering if they are compatible part nº is 3B0615125

Retrofitting rear seats (scirocco, golf etc...)

It can sound like a lot of things, once I get the seats out I can add pictures for discussion -

I'm not from the UK, we don't disclose modifications to insurance, but what part did you deem unsafe ? The washers are for spacing, it is still fastened with everything original, also the rail has holes from one end to the other, did an extra hole on top of the 10 existing ones ruined the integrity of the rail ? I wouldn't of done the swap if I thought I was putting myself or others at risk, but thank you for your concern. -
Retrofitting rear seats (scirocco, golf etc...)
Filipelol replied to Filipelol's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Well they don`t, I drilled 2 holes on the rails, and after that they are still about 1cm too spread apart, so I had to put some washers on the rail mounting to put them closer together, after that they pretty much line up, I needed to push a little with my foot on the rail when I was tightening the bolts but after all wasn't that bad, if anyone is interested I can post a few pictures of what I did once I get the seats out, the rails came a little rusty so I'm planning on sorting that out in a near future -

Your right, I'm just trying to see if anyone has actually tried it or managed to fit back seats from another platform -
Mk2 fabia best budget stereo upgrades
Filipelol replied to Justin55's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
I think the best bang for buck are the RCD330 and RCD360+ I got the RCD360+ model, they say it's oem components, and the outside bezel and buttons are chinese The RCD330 is oem from the chinese vw cars, and they change the software for english and different languages/cars I got it from aliexpress, there are different sellers, I got mine from lemonshark, took 5 days to post from china, and I think it came to about 250€ It was plug n play, works with steering wheel controls and has bluetooth, apple carplay and android auto, depending on the version you get. Highly recommend 👍 -
You can use this thread as inspiration, its a mk1 thread but the seat fitment is the same as the mk2, keep in mind that if its not from the cars listed above it is NOT a straight swap.
-
Yes, there are plenty of threads already about it, a quick search on this forum and you will find a few. If not mistaken, the following are a direct replacement for the front seats: Fabia mk1 and mk2 ibiza 6l and 6j polo 9n and 6r audi a1 I just changed the front seats last week, and having done a few mods to the car already, they were one of the best, if not the best mod so far.

I'm okay with the paddles, could also look for a octavia vrs steering wheel, it's the same but some don't have paddles
-
I have the one exactly like the picture, I would of been more than pleased with just the left side buttons from the scirocco wheel but my main consern was the airbag
-
Thanks for the answers guys, definitely won't try the swap then, will keep an eye on a vrs one

Hi guys, I found this scirocco wheel for sale and wanted to know if its a straight swap?, both pictures are from the steering wheels in question

Sluggish cold start --- 1.2 TSI CBZA
Filipelol replied to Koreenium's topic in Skoda Rapid & Spaceback (2012 > )
Well I've read somewhere the engine is tested with 98 but given a lower rating so it's easier for must consumers worldwide, but our engines, at least mine, says 95 octane minimum and not 95 required, also read the reason it starts 'badly' with 95 and not with 98, at least in my case, is because of ignition timing and with 98 the fuel burns with the correct timing on the first few strokes so the engine starts well, with 95 if it misfires in the first few strokes the engine bogs down or reduces timing and the rest of the cold start is screwed because of it -

Ok this is interesting because I have had most of the problems you have had regarding the plugs, oil, chain and tapping noises and also the cold start problem, well I can tell you for me what cures my cold start problem is using 98 Ron fuel, whenever I use 95 Ron more times than not I get the weird cold start almost as it's choking on something and then takes a while to settle the idle with a few knocks in between, using 98 Ron I can't remember having a bad start, what fuel do you use ? -
This is what I want but can't find it anywhere! I think it is custom made, or you could buy a second hand vent for 5-10 £ and butcher that.
-
I want to, but there's only 1 monte on my island, and not crashed ahah
-
They won't

Have a look at the RCD 330.
