Hi guys, I found this scirocco wheel for sale and wanted to know if its a straight swap?, both pictures are

from the steering wheels in question 

 

Splines would be the same, wiring for the buttons and airbags are probably different and would need figuring out.

Given that the Scirocco uses a Golf platform and the Fabia is a Polo there's very little chance they'll be a straight swap.

100% wont be a straight swap, Ton of buttons needed coded in there and huge chance that the wiring is different.

Thanks for the answers guys, definitely won't try the swap then, will keep an eye on a vrs one

What wheel do you have now? As any steering wheel with new multi functional buttons that you don't have already will need coded in and in some cases perhaps new wiring behind the wheel.

I have the one exactly like the picture, I would of been more than pleased with just the left side buttons from the scirocco wheel but my main consern was the airbag 

Sorry mate only seen the first picture, Only issue you may have is the VRS one has DSG paddles.

I'm okay with the paddles, could also look for a octavia vrs steering wheel, it's the same but some don't have paddles

Except it's not the same because the Octavia is a Golf and the Fabia is a Polo.
