New Elroq - Just arrived at Dealers! Tips?
They are GigiSynergy tyres. I guess I just expected better for such an expensive car. Seems a poor area to cheap out on to be honest. Does anyone know what the peddles do on the steering wheel? I thought they adjusted brake regen, but on my car, I haven't been able to get them to do anything. Regardless of drive mode etc. Unsure if I am doing something wrong. Thanks

Yes, it has all the updates. Mines a Sportsline, so 20 inch wheels as well. Giving shouldn't be anywhere near the sportline trim. I was expecting Hancook or pirelli.

New Elroq - Just arrived at Dealers! Tips?
So, picked up the car today. Things noticed so far: The tyres are poor. Brand - Giti. On a £46k car? Unacceptable Skoda. Had noticable slippage driving home in the rain. So that really soured the whole experience. Software - quite responsive - but anything linked to online (so the online services etc) - just keeps spinning the whole 'Please wait' nonsense - even with full bars of 4G. We had the same on my wifes Octavia when we got it in 2020. Thought Skoda would have sorted it in almost 6 years, but obviously not. Shame. Car itself - so far so good. It's a really nice car. Will take a bit getting used to an EV, coming from a 2ltr diesel. So overall, mixed start. The tyres have urked me no end. Especially as pricing up some decent ones is currently costing £800+.

New Elroq - Just arrived at Dealers! Tips?
Hi folks, Had a call from my local dealer yesterday to confirm that my new Elroq has arrived (ordered start of February), and it’s due for collection on Thursday. Really looking forward to it! It’ll be my first EV, and I’m coming from a 66‑plate Skoda Superb L&K 2.0 TDI with just over 141,000 miles on it. I've had it almost 10 years, love it. I’ve already had a Hypervolt 3 charger installed, so everything’s ready to go. Pretty buzzing! For those who already own an Elroq: Do you have any advice for a first‑time EV owner? Anything I should check, set up, or be aware of when I pick it up (other than just enjoying it 😄)? I’ve got a feeling the standard tyres might not be the best—bit disappointing from Skoda on a car at this price point—but I’m not quite ready to drop nearly £1k on a set of Continental all‑seasons just yet. Car: Škoda Elroq SportLine 85 Added Equipment: Graphite Grey Metallic Front aluminium door‑sill covers Front & rear mud flaps Foldable tow bar Winter Package Maxx Package Heat pump Driver Package 5‑year / 100,000‑mile extended warranty

Do you feel mis sold on your mk4
I also had the ghost light, and after replacing it, it stopped. So it seems a new one sorts it. Likely a faulty senior.

Lucky you. Mine was in a garage for 7 months and still has software issues.

As someone who owns an SEL - avoid. Seriously.

Yes, The infotainment system isn't fit for purpose. The garage had mine in to fix for 8 months. It still has bugs. I'll never get a Skoda again. Glad others have had no issues though. Makes me wonder how when they have the same software.

Rear Undercarriage
Brilliant thanks. I had thought the undertray would be similar to the superb but it isn't. Much less protection.

Rear Undercarriage
Yup that's the one. I've a 2ltr diesel dsg SEL FE

Rear Undercarriage
Hi folks, Does anyone have a pic of underneath their Octavia at the back with the exhaust etc. I'm trying to see if any undercarriage protection has come off my car. I haven't had much luck on Google images .... Thank you

Well, mine goes back in next THursday as they somehow disabled my sat nav when applying the mph fix. Hoepfully that will be the end of my issues.... I contacted Kate at Skoda UK regarding compensation etc considering they have my car for 7+ months. I didn't get a reply. Either way, I won't buy another Skoda. Oh well.

No warranty extension. Nothing offered in terms of compensation. It was the mph/kmph issue along with all the other bugs on the FE cars.

I have left my Octavia back in this morning. When it was returned to me (after my local garage having it for 9 months), they returned it with 2 issues: 1: The built in sat Nav no longer worked. 2: The rear courtesy lights are turning on and off, constantly. Obviously it wasnt properly checked over before returning it to me. But sure, maybe this time it will be fixed for good.

So this is a screenshot of what my hardware and software etc says now. Two new side effects since getting my car back. One good and one bad. The bad - the built in sat Nav now doesn't work at all. I'm waiting on dealer getting back to me and told them that I thought it was poor they didn't bother to check everything before returning it. The good - Android auto now works wirelessly. It didn't before.

I've got my car back as well and it has had all the most recent updates I believe. So far so good. Unfortunately, the free year of the online connect services has expired. I never got to take advantage of them.

Seems I already had the new part fitted but this caused subsequent errors they have yet to fix. As such, still no ETA or return of my car. Well jealous of those of you who are now resolved or at least have a date. It should be noted that the new dash etc and error dates back to the 17 August. So no progress since then. "Dear Mr Thank you for your recent contact. In regards to the mph/km issue I can confirm that a part has already been fitted to your vehicle. Unfortunately your vehicle has developed a further issue which is currently being investigated by the retailer. They are liaising directly with the factory in regards to this and we are hoping to have a resolution shortly."

Yep. I've done that. I used to get a reply. But not for around 3 months now. I have to contact me dealer who just reports back that Kate has no update. AS if that's an acceptable update. But sure, that's how it is. I do find it interesting that we are all losing 1 years warranty cover and not needing mot's etc. That's if we get them back after a year

No worries. This is the one I no longer get any replies from.

What's her email if you don't mind me asking? I have replied to her before and have yet to get a reply. I haven't heard from her directly in over 3 months.

I've had no update. If I get my car back this year, I'll be amazed.

Yea, I've heard absolutely nothing. It's rediculous. I'm lodging and offcial complaint tomorrow with my dealer. That will start the process.

A trial fix in one car is t exactly a move forward to be honest. For 7 months that minute amount of progress should be an embarrassment for a company of this size. And having to be without a car which you have bought for 7 months should say it all really.

I have contacted her a few times since she stopped giving me my 'weekly generic update' almost 3 months ago. She has not responded to me. I contacted my local dealer (who are part of the same branch we bought our car from) for an update who said: " Good afternoon We were in communication direct with the factory and have since been waiting on a response/reply from them. I have kept Kate at SKODA UK updated with where we are Regards" So no update. At all. 7 months in.

Lucky you. The inconsistent approach is hardly good customer service. They have been an utter shambles so far. I can't believe how poor this experience continues to be. The fact some of us still don't have our car after such a long time is unacceptable. The lack of ANY resolution date is inexcusable. I really will never buy another car from them. Such a shame after the great experience I've had and continue to have with my older Superb. I'm at the end of my tether really. I don't understand how they believe a wait of this length is 'okay'. And for customer services not to have contacted me in 3 months is **** poor.
