  1. I did this and swapped to a Golf R lease. Car is bw4 and is expected to me in early March. I had no fee to swap cars.
  2. This is why in general you get what you pay for in terms of service. It's a shame as the product is up there with the higher brands.
  3. My 2014 Octavia vrs tdi only ever averaged 42mpg so I'd be happy if I could get similar from a petrol.
  4. For sure on the private market. To a dealer options don't effect value, plate and mileage does.
  5. Worth the £80 for the options in my opinion. Used cars (especially nearly new ones) should only take a day to prep, you should have it well before the big day.
  6. Congrats for finding a car you liked. £80 extra a month for an old car is a bit steep for my liking but as long as your happy that's all that matters. When do you pick her up?
  7. This is the exact reason I jumped to a different car from my 245 order after the build estimate went into mid next year. As far as I'm aware, as long as you stick with the same leasing company you can move the order to a totally different car. If you cancel and change broker then you forfeit their fee.
  8. The consumer of old models Or those looking at older spec cars are of little consideration to the manufacturer. It's all about keeping up with the competition and the advances in tech like LED headlights for example. Price will always rise with inflation but the manufacturers use this as a time to discontinue some of the less chosen options. I've only worked for premium manufacturers, never this far down the food chain but the motor trade is very similar all over so I can make educated guesses based on experience.
  9. Depends on what the options are. Can also go both ways. For instance folding mirrors and memory seats may be options you will have to pay for going forwards. Instead of guessing let's just see what happens.
  10. Year on year updates. Working in the industry for the VAG group this is standard.
  11. Yes there will more likely be upgrades. Maybe even an uplift in the standard spec so some of the options you may have paid for will 've standard with an uplift in base spec pricing.
  12. Exactly this. The UK had an allocation of X. The UK dealer network with the help of the online leasing companies sold X. That's it until more allocation is released if available.
  13. Drove the golf R today, its bloody amazing. Not sad I jumped ship.
  14. I stayed away from that deal as I think the Leon still uses the 6 speed dsg. I may be wrong.
  15. All down to the transportation company. Audi use BCA and if the car is sat at the docks for more than two weeks we start charging them a daily charge.
  16. I have indeed Dunc. After I got a message saying 4 weeks have been added to the vRS order I thought sod it, why not.
  17. I also looked at the Superb but the cost was crazy. To me the little extra cash for the golf made sense for the extra car.
  18. The estate with all of the options I'd want pushes it well above 500. Plus I already work for Audi so just fancy anything else at this point.
  19. My broker is letting me swap to a Golf R using the same fee. I have just signed all the paperwork and should get the car at least a month earlier than I was expecting the vRS.
  20. I was able to use the same fee. Handy as I just heard that the Octavia has been delayed another month until April.
  21. Ha ha Needs must, if the weather is good I'll still be at the meet next week.
  22. So tomorrow I shall be amending my order to the golf. For 20 quid a month difference (spec for spec) and guaranteed march delivery it'll be silly not to for the 4wd.
  23. It's the options that push up the cost. A golf r with zero options is more like 280 pcm
