in 15 months of ownership, i too had this but only once, car shortly started to work normal and we called AA who diagnosed and came back with 0 issues, ever really got to the bottom of the root cause

Combined with Google voice to text

The theft you are describing is unfortunately widespread here in UK too but it varies in popularity by regions, cars get butchered to pieces, it used to be more with likes of porche, merc, Audi and BMW and mostly get stolen, now it's going down to VW and even Ford level but more of leave the car without infortainment bits, steering, lights, alloys.... but I insist Skoda is least of interest. And on the repairs, sounds like the BMW dealer took the ****, insurances here usually will have network of authorised BMW repair centres that will be more reasonable.

are we sure this is just engine management update? it may involve gearbox too?
-
Sorry but I just have to say it..... you shouldn't have to worry, the great thing about Skoda and also brown (in my case), this is part of the joy having it, no one really wants it and probably would have to pay someone to steal it

Thanks for the testers above, unfirtunate, as @shyVRS245 said maybe best to leave it as is. I guess someday eventually they might release version 100.0 with the right setup

Yeah give Skoda drivers grief

I got BMW 3 series and no problems too

Would be helpful if you can share on the costs to retrofit digital cluster, assume skoda wint ro it as its mod

have you run quotes via carwow? i too looked at Seat Ateca when was choosing in 2017 but their petrol models were on 6-8 months lead time, then i looked at high spec Karoq and price was about the same but it had more features in Karoq! Switching between BMW 3 Series and Karoq weekly i find Karoq suspension setup brilliant, it not firm (19" alloys) and yet it does manage to stay planted on the road under heavy turning, you almost dont feel the roll, its very surprising for such car. I am not sure if this anymore true but also Karoq had better quality interior and softer materials used in it.

1.5TSI Edition ordered prior to even demo being available in Nov 2017

could do that yes but i would expect an error on the dashboard or my OBD11 app would have picked it up got one today mixed version, cheapest so far: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-VW-Audi-Seat-Skoda-ready-mixed-G13-Coolant-1-5-Litres/152234335270?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=451424724313&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l264

We have Skoda Warranty for 5 years and this is first time buying VW car. How well does it go if i was to take to Specialist Garage for servicing, common sense will dictate that i will get better price and all done by the book at same time?
-
There must be official guide from Skoda how to fit their own dashcam, i am just looking for official instructions. anyone has such guide?

Skoda Kodiaq Dash Camera Installation Guide
vadimo replied to silver1011's topic in Skoda Kodiaq Guides
is headlining glued on Karoq also? I was considering this as an option to use as a route between front and rear dashcam -
I have 5 year warranty, am i at risk of having any issues if i go to indy to do proper service presumably at better deal? At time of sale i was noted that there is no service log book as it gets stored electronically on their portal which i cant have access to (odd) and i have to request from Skoda print outs for situations like selling car

Sorry i wasnt trying to school you, New to VAG.... i dont understand why cars under 1 year get only the following 1 x Oil service 1 x Oil and Inspection Service but cars over 1 year get much more, minor and major services as posted above, is this because the car deemed not require anything other than oil change? or its their way to charge for all other items from 'minor and major' on top of £279 which i think what you are suggesting?
-
reasons for question was i looked at minor and major description but for £279 its only 1 x Oil service 1 x Oil and Inspection Service A minor service includes: Oil & filter change (fully synthetic oil) Vehicle inspection test and report* Full vehicle road test** Vehicle & software enhancements from ŠKODA’s database Replacement pollen filter † Diagnostic check including report Re-set service interval display Wash and vacuum ŠKODA stamp in service book A major service includes: Everything from a minor service Replacement air filter † Spark plugs † (petrol engine) or fuel filter † (diesel engine) Remove wheels and check brakes Check/adjust tension of all drive belts Check/replenish gearbox oil (where applicable) Check/replenish final drive oil (where applicable) Check suspension system Check heating/aircon operation
