Driver Assist settings keep resetting
Muff replied to Bobek's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Booked mine in to the garage to have it looked at and hey, what do you know? It started working again a few days before I was due to take it in. I obviously scared my car into playing properly as well. -
Mines just done 10k

'Cheshire' now it's not nice to gloat at others misfortune. That's pure Schadenfreude

Teebs, there's no way are you driving a 190 DSG 4X4 and getting that Kind of mileage.
-
I'm impressed. I got 51mpg according to my car doing a 45 mile journey back home today. Journey took me approx 1 hour and 5 min of which 20 min travelled on country lanes and the rest of the journey on single carriage A roads. I recently calculated doing 452 miles with 10.1 gallons which worked out at 44mpg whilst maxi dot trip computer showed 45.7mpg.

I agree and I think the pano sunroof is worth having.
-
Today and Friday on both journeys I hit 50mpg, according to maxi dot. I will refill my half empty fuel tank tomorrow and calculate a more realistic mileage from amount of fuel used to fill up and the miles covered since my last full tank. I realise my average mpg will be somewhat lower but it should be interesting.

Totally disagree. The white/silver surround looks far better than the plain boring all black and white dials which I think look a bit cheap. Still each to their own.

I have estate with sunroof which the front part slides back and I love it. I have cream coloured seats and when the sun's out it really lights up the car interior. No rattles or leaks so far.

Driver Assist settings keep resetting
Muff replied to Bobek's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I have the same problem. Both Blind Spot Assist and Rear Traffic Alert keep coming up as unavailable. Tried switching ignition on/off etc but to no avail. Occasionally I can select them again but no sooner as I start driving they immediately become unavailable again. Have reported it to local Skoda garage and it's booked in for possible repair. -
Completely agree with Jeff, a 6 month ex management car does not mean it is going to be I'll treated or badly maintained. As mentioned just make sure umbrellas, torch, ice scraper etc are still there. You will still have the balance of the new car warranty to rely on should there be any problems, which should be rare. Mine had 5K on the clock when I bought it and was over £6k cheaper compared to a brand new car.

I agree considering the size and weight of the car. I also have a 10 year old Fabia 1.9 Tdi and I constantly return over 57mpg on that but obviously itbis a much smaller car so a direct comparison is hardly appropriate.
-
I also noticed that same thing and I always thought there were certain driving situations when it was advantageous to disable the esc.

Latest best reading for Fuel consumption on my 190 4×4 was 48mpg over an 80 mile trip of which 30 miles were motorway so it's moving in the right direction. Engine now has 10,000 miles on the clock. I drive rather conservatively i.e no fast acceleration or harsh breaking by reading the road ahead.

Nice looking car JR. What's this Tech and Comfort Pack thingy?
-
Gents, this is also something I am prone to do on occasion. My biggest problem though is predictive text on phones. I believe it to be a common software fault, much like the Macrosift Spill Chucker I have on my PC.

My 190 DSG 4X4 has DSG at top part of the gear sick face with the L&K script underneath but it doesn't have 4×4 shown any where except on the outside tailgate of the car

Estate Boot Fixed Floor Convert to variable
Muff replied to Muff's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Thanks for your input Chris. It doesn't bother me enough to go to that much expense . I can easily live without it, just simply a nice to have. -
Where in Brizzle are you having the service done? I am planning to use the Platinum dealer in Bath.
-
I have finally managed to average 47mpg over a 35 mile extra urban drive. Is this as good as I can expect from a 4x4 diesel?
-
That's a big 10-4 Rubber Duck
-
I also know that stretch of road too well.

Estate Boot Fixed Floor Convert to variable

My Estate (Combi) doesn't have a variable boot floor. Does anyone know if this could be fitted retrospectively and any ideas as to the cost? -
