  1. It says la but I've tried them and the pad wasn't big enough for the caliper
  2. Morning all, Anyone know how to check what pads you need before purchase? Looking online there is PR ZA or LA to choose from for my car.
  3. Hi all, Came across this little gem when looking for what pads I needed for my car. The options sticker is either in the book that come with your car or under the carpet in your boot. My 65 plate superb had it under the boot carpet in top left. Look up website is http://vag-codes.info/#option-decoder
  4. Sounds like I was lucky then. Wound back very easy and still breaking fine. No OBD tools used all worked fine old school.
  5. Hi mate, You need a bag windback tool. I basically when the wheel was off turned the ignition on but not the engine and turned handbrake off with the auto break. Managed to do both sides without battery dying and no one software.
  6. I had the exact same issue at 24k. Rear pads were worn down too so both needed replacing. My car is on 38k now and hit its first MOT last month and I had a verbal advisory saying they will probably need changing by next MOT again. I did complain to SUK and they originally tried to fob me but before dead lock I got the complaint escalated because the dealer was telling them 24k for rears is normal wear and tear and that the rear must be in a different environment than the fronts because they are wearing faster (that is not a lie. Alex Lawrie/ Johnson's Skoda in Liverpool told SUK that). I went to ATS, kwik Fit and a indipendant and all three said front around 40k and rears at 60k. As I didn't buy genuine and fitted them myself SUK would only give me £50 towards the costs. Lucky for me I had a 50% voucher and got brembo rear pads and disks. I ended up paying £140 for them. Front pads need doing soon so waiting for another voucher. My advice is speak with SUK first before you fork out. Tell them exactly what I was told outside of their dealer network from people who deal with breaks, exhausts and servicing day in and day out. Good luck and please post updates. Also note with the ACC it is supposed to break with the rears when catching up to another car as breaking at the rear is comfortable compared to breaking at the front. Unless your doing 30 - 40 mph more then it will use the fronts. Also has anyone noticed some car was places now use chemicals on your wheels that your car breaks seem jammed on a little the following day after the car hasn't been used for 12 plus hours? I'm personally down to 2 in Liverpool were they don't and will probably end up washing it myself soon.
  7. I phoned a local dealer (Warrington) they were so sure that it isn't able to. Then they tried to tell me only the latest models have it. I know they are wrong and just thinking if trying to sell me a newer one. I believe the Octavia earlier than mine can definitely be done as I've seen screen shots of the VagCom. I believe these earlier Supervisor sit on the same software.
  8. Are you up in the northwest? If so how much would you charge to do it?
  9. Could anyone recommend someone who could help me enable this function on my 2016 SE L Exec? I'm in the North West.
  10. Hey dude. I know its 5 years later. Could you enable this on a Superb mk 3?
  11. Car is right again however I wouldn't used this dealership ever again.
  12. I'll personally ally never take my car there again or advise people to. They offered me a half price service for the damage they caused to my car however as I said that I wouldn't return they wouldn't put the offer into the Skoda group. As said I had to complain about the dealer and now Skoda have given me £200 into the dealer network to spend on service or accessories. I would avoid like the plague and also do not give Johnson's any of your personal data as you will be abused by them and their sales teams. I have had a call from Crewe Seat trying to sell me a Leon and I've never had any dealings with them only this Johnson's in Liverpool.
  13. Ain't got a clue. Sat in my car with Billy showing the fault I thought I had with the mirrors Nd noticed it was gone. They did "clean" the car when it was with them for the upgrade but the car had done 2 miles aswell. My guess is the who ever cleaned it must of snapped it off.
  14. No apology or ex Gratia offers for damage caused. Below is my clipless window.
  15. Absolute contrast to my experiance. Dropped my Superb off for a software upgrade and to check my wing mirrors. Cover in central console was hanging off and they had took my parking sticker clip off my window. Spoke to James Harkness this morning. Says he'll order me a new clip for the window and said he'll send me his email address for pictures of the damage. Still waiting.
  16. Do any of you lovely people know anyone up in the north west that might be able to enable this in mine? Its a 65 plate se L exec registered in Feb 16.
  17. Hi Prof3ssor, You have to call them because the wheels are classed as accessories and they are not on their website. When I called my local branch in Liverpool they advised delivery can take up to 2 months. The part number for these ones are "3V0 071 499B HA7" for these ones and "3VO 071 499D 8Z8" are on my car and they are £154.40 a wheel without the VAT. My car is a 2016 Superb SE L Exec.
  18. Heard it weakens the wheels. Had two quotes though... One guy wants £45 a wheel but I have to sign a disclaimer encase he cracks them. The other recons £30 a wheel and I need to leave them with him a week.
  19. I have ran into a pot hole with my car and buckled on and slightly buckled the other front wheels on my Superb. I've had a claim into local council rejected so going to need two new wheels ASAP. Anyone know of anyone selling a set or just two? See image for the ones I have:
  20. Sorry to hear about your friend. You can buy these wheels new from TPS for £193 a wheel but have to wait a couple of months for them to get the wheels for you. That's probably why your getting the offers around £5-600 as that's where they should be priced.
  21. I'm only aware of 1 EGR valve in a VW group engine ranges and none under the engine. I remember in a older 1.6 golf MK5 I think they were at the rear of the engine and polo's had them at the front but none underneath. Your water pump can go is several ways. Worst would be a leak coming form the belts side of the engine. A squeaking belt could indicate the pully on it is sticking and overheating (over 100 degrees) as the water isn't being circulated.
