  1. Mine has 150000 miles and pulling away it just feels lacking in power. I did a scan which showed a few codes that i reset. The other thing I've noticed on the carista app is the throttle position. Even when it's fully pressed down the position sensor only shows 77.8%. I thought if I had it fully down it would be 100%
  2. I purchased a carista obd2 reader from Amazon, and then downloaded the VAG DPF app. Cost £7.49. set the app up to connect with the carista and away it goes. I'm guessing as the miles build it'll not be able to clear as much and it'll have to be cleaned or replaced.
  3. So my car did do a regen tonight. I kept it running until it stopped and the results are in the picture. So after the regen it is still saying it's 24% full. Does this indicate a problem or is it to be expected on a car with 150000 miles on the clock. Could this cause any performance issues as the car does feel sluggish when pulling away.
  4. Yes I actually just downloaded it. Does give much more info. Looks like mines ready for a refund any moment.
  5. When I'm at work I do 30 miles each way. I was only asking because whilst it's good to see the figures I don't know whether they are good or concerning.
  6. Morning. I've just downloaded this app and just wondering if anyone else uses it. Is there any information available on how often the car should regen or how much soot is normal?
  7. I do use it yes. I've tried without but it does not seem to make much of a difference wether it's on or not.
  8. Yes. I'll get that booked in and I'll get them to check all the mounts while they have got it.
  9. I had a creaking and rattling sound from my boot lid and it turned out to be the cover over the 3rd brake light. It had slipped down, so I put a little glue on it and pushed it back up, been fine since.
  10. I am not certain on that. I had the brakes all changed back in February when the service was done, and as I say, the clutch was done last month. But apart from that it's been some years since I had a full brake fluid change.
  11. The last time I put an obd scanner on it there was no codes. That was February.
  12. Could it be dpf related? Any thoughts on wether a rolling road place may be able to help by showing me the power output?
  13. Hi everyone. Can anyone share their thoughts on an issue I feel like I'm having with my car. For quite a while now I have felt that my car is struggling to pull away from a standstill. The feeling I get is that as I bring the clutch pedal up all the revs just drop away and it feels like it would stall, I have to then push the clutch back down build the revs and then go again. Once it's rolling I can pull the clutch up and it feels ok. I've had a full service done in February including the fuel filter. And in April I had a new clutch and flywheel fitted yet I'm still getting the same feeling. I can pull away on the clutch alone and the car will go and not stall. It's even worse on hills. I'm not sure where to go now. As I say, I have had the issue a long time. Last August I took it to Skoda and they did diagnostics and found nothing wrong. So I don't just want to take it to another garage because I just don't think they'll find anything. What else could cause this sensation? Could it be throttle related, timing related? I did have the timings belt changed about 3 years ago, at the time I thought it felt a bit slower. But it starts and stops fine. No rough running so I just thought I was imagining it. The timing belt was changed at Skoda. Is it at all possible they've set the timings wrong? The car is a 2016 2.0 TDI 190. It has 150000 miles on the clock. Thanks. Adrian.
  14. You'll most likely be ok with the auto box. The milencos I don't find hard to fit, they just slide under the mirror casing and tighten them up. They are just a big mirror on a long arm so they will wobble. To be honest I don't use them loads. Prefer the wing mirrors. They are on for legal purposes mainly.
  15. We've got the milencos but I think they wobble too much. That's with the f pad fitted. Could look at emuk mirrors, they are more expensive but they are suppose to be very good. What engine and gearbox have you got. I've got a 190 manual and tow a caravan that's 1450kg fully loaded and pulling away on a hill can be troublesome.
  16. The pro one has a lot more stuff on it. Do you use any of it. The basics one only has 3 settings. Just wondering if it's worth the extra. It's done via a wireless handset the pro isn't it? We tow a van and I'm just wondering wether a more responsive throttle will help when pulling away.
  17. I checked that yesterday. It is a bit awkward to see. But I'm pretty certain it's topped up.
  18. Nu it does not. Am I right in saying it shares the brake fluid?
  19. Has it been reliable since you fitted it? No error codes or limp mode or anything?
  20. Hi all. Yesterday I had a new clutch kit, flywheel and slave cylinder fitted to my 2016 2.0 TDI 190. Took a day as the first flywheel they were given was the wrong one. Apparently the 190 has an updated one. Anyway, they got the right one. It was all fitted. They rang me and said it test drove ok and was ready to collect. I duly did that and I drove it home. The pedal felt slightly soft. But worked ok. This morning I got in it to come to work and pressed the clutch down, started the engine lifted my foot off the clutch and the pedal came up slightly but not fully. I pulled it up with my foot. Did this 2 or 3 times and the pedal started to work. Still felt a bit soft. Rang the garage and they said it could be air. Drive it today and see how it goes, any issues get back in touch. So I've driven it to work. Got along the motor way and pulled up to some lights once off the motorway, pushed the clutch down, into neutral and the clutch was slow to come back up but it did. Pumped the pedal a few times and it felt more firm and came up ok. I've just tested it now I'm on lunch and again it felt soft but it came up ok. I have pumped it a few times and it is behaving better again. So, could that be air, or some form of leak? I can't see anything on the floor under the car. Im a bit worried as we go away tomorrow towing our caravan. I may ring them in the morning see if they can squeeze it in before we leave. Anyone had an issue like this before? Thanks Adrian.
  21. Scrap that. Don't look like they deliver to the UK. Every country but almost. Good that we ain't a part of the EU anymore!!!
  22. Hi everyone. Anyone got experience of ordering a pedal box from dte or dtuk? They are the same thing right? They look identical. Dte currently have a 25% off deal. So the basics pedal box is 191.20 euros including shipping as opposed to £202 plus a tenner postage. the dte one works out roughly 160 odd quid I think.
  23. Can anyone point me to where the throttle body is located on the 190 diesel engine please? I've been watching videos but they are generally Audi videos. Or mk 2 superb and nothing seems the same on mine to what I'm watching.
  24. Yes mine are awful, that's the reason why I'm looking to get them sorted. I just don't know wether to have them just powder coated or diamond cut. The place I'm thinking of using offers a 3 year guarantee l, not that I'm entirely sure what that covers. I think it's £380 for powder coat and £420 for diamond cut which includes some spare wheels so I can keep using the car.
  25. I'm looking at getting my wheels refurbished. Are these diamond cut. I assume if they are I don't have to opt to have them finished with a diamond cut. Could 1 just have them powder coated?
