Dtuk Vs dte pedal box.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. Anyone got experience of ordering a pedal box from dte or dtuk? They are the same thing right? They look identical.

Dte currently have a 25% off deal. So the basics pedal box is 191.20 euros including shipping as opposed to £202 plus a tenner postage.

the dte one works out roughly 160 odd quid I think.

Scrap that. Don't look like they deliver to the UK. Every country but almost. Good that we ain't a part of the EU anymore!!!

I thought it was the same. I googled - DTE manufactures them, DTUK sells them in UK basically as a distributor. I don’t think it’s because DTE choose not to, it’s probably they reduce costs by bulk shipping Business 2 Business to DTUK rather than individual sales to UK customers.

There is a £135 point where duty becomes payable on inports; but I can’t remember the stipulations. Superskoda stopped selling to UK over that amount I think but can’t remember if that’s still the case.

But basically; the same product. There are plenty of alternatives to keep an eye out for. Racechip do deals now and again so the others must do as well.

I have a Racechip unit; it’s excellent. No more dead spot. The latest version can be controlled via their app too.

Has it been reliable since you fitted it? No error codes or limp mode or anything?

No, nothing.

@Itsrelfy I second this. Have had it since Nov 22 and absolutely no problems whatsoever.

I have a DTUK Pro version fitted to mine for quite a few years now. No issues and to be honest, I constantly forget I have one until a thread here reminds me about it.

The pro one has a lot more stuff on it. Do you use any of it. The basics one only has 3 settings. Just wondering if it's worth the extra. It's done via a wireless handset the pro isn't it? We tow a van and I'm just wondering wether a more responsive throttle will help when pulling away.

I set the pro up initially and used my phone for the adjustments for the first few weeks, while I got used to the settings and found one I liked.

From then I tend to forget I even have it. Can’t remember the last time I even opened the app to be honest.

The immobiliser function is all but useless. It’s a 30sec job to swop the connections over at the pedal and disable that function anyway.

Mine has been set to sport plus on the max setting for quite a few years now.

I’d say it’s a good sign. It just works very well and does the job it’s supposed to reliably and flawlessly. Otherwise I’d be shouting at it and that’d remind me I had one.
