REMOTE ACCESS
Driving Data: You can retrieve the most recent vehicle data, such as average fuel consumption, average speed or distance traveled, through the ŠKODA Connect Portal.(video: Driving Data ).
Last parking place : When you are in a city you do not know, or if you are in a large parking lot, it is easy to get lost and not remember where you parked the car. The vehicle transmits its position data to the back-end server after each trip. You can find your parked vehicle with your GPS position. (video: Parking Position )
Area Notification: To avoid misuse of the vehicle, use the ŠKODA Connect Portal to set up a maximum of ten areas and active periods during which the function will notify you if the vehicle has moved within the designated area or if you have entered a designated area. prohibited area. SERVICES
Google Earth (Columbus only) : You can see satellite maps of your area on the Columbus infotainment system screen. You will get a better perspective of your location and discover new points of interest. (video: Google Earth ***Not for MY19).
Online Map Update (Columbus only) : The maps of the Columbus navigation system can be easily updated online, so you will no longer need to have an SD card or go to the dealer to do this task for you. The infotainment system warns you of the new available data and the disk space requirements. Note: flat data rate contracted with the operator is recommended, since large packages are exchanged. My favorite destinations: You can set your favorite points of interest (POI) and transmit them to the infotainment system through the ŠKODA Connect Portal conveniently from home. Places to park: With the service Parking spaces, you will no longer have to walk the streets in vain in search of a free space. You will save time and money, since the search for this service can be extended to include parking prices and opening hours. Gas stations: The available gas stations appear on the screen according to the type of fuel detected automatically. When entering a destination in the navigation system, the petrol stations that are on the road are displayed, which optimizes fuel costs. (video: Petrol Station ).
Time: Time will no longer catch you by surprise, since on the navigation system screen you can see the updated weather information at your destination or at your current location. You can also see a detailed weather forecast of several days or updated radar data. (video: Weather ).
Import of Routes Online: Plan a trip with several stops comfortably from home through the ŠKODA Connect Portal and export the itinerary to your vehicle. The Connect Portal allows you to plan up to 5 trips with 10 stops along the way. (video: Online Route Import ).

Internet connection
CARE CONNECT: This system works with a SIM card integrated in the car.
Availability CARE CONNECT mentioned refers to the corresponding period of validity of the contract.
INFOTAINMENT:
They are used through the two types of navigators that the car can include: Amundsen and Columbus.
The first one, Amundsen, can be used with a data connection through the smartphone or a USB device with an Internet connection.
The second, Columbus, includes an additional connection through another SIM card that includes the car (paid by the user).
