@Skoffski lol i did it for evidential purposes and only the once since it started happening. That video is before basic settings applied i have not booted like that yet and probably wont. Yeah i have had a quote of £1000+vat for a clutch, but not sure if the mecatronics unit is knackered if i receive a new engine i will probably updgrade the gearbox anyway and keep the car.

@Skoffski why do they let these people loose on peoples cars im glad mine has been correct minus tamp sealing the dipstick/oilfiller/sump as for the dsg its not great, better but not great, Still slips in 2nd n 4th a bit (needs a clutch for sure)

@Skoffski so im well within my rights to ask for a new engine which he said he may be able to help with due to because its only on 40kmiles he said due to age of the car no goodwill usually gets offered but the miles are so low he will try his best..... @Skoffski i cant beleive they think i topped it up so confused

And here finally my results 0.9L so am i within tolerence or not i bloody hope not i really need to send this car back!! Also basic settings applied to dsg i have not test to see if it wil stick in 2nd gear as now if i so and it goes funny again it will now go into limp mode so im told i have uploaded a video of the fault the footage below was filmed on a private road. with owners permission

And i now have PAPERWORK yippeeee only because i blagged the receptionist... Anyway They suspected i topped up my car with oil???? I was there dor a consumption test why would i top it up? Makes no sense at all

Also thought this engine and ecu swap but i beleive you have to change the clocks and control body? Id much rather put a totally different engine in not a skoda one

I. Actually watched a video online and in the video he states if your cars burning oil swap out the pcv unfortunatly i have no idea wht that is lol keep us updated this is interesting

I asked skoda today if they can change my dsg oil said no its a sealed unit that does not require ou changes at 40k!???

I see on the picture the 2nd and 4th gear sensor is that replaceable? I beleive they just replace the whole unit when they fail (sorry for going off topic)

I really need to im going to get it all in writing, when im there i forget, im in a rut which im sure with the right help i can acheive something back all will be addressed i have two weeks off work to crack on with this not what i wanted to do on my holidays with my son, the planned day trips all cancelled i may have to rent a car

I have received an email from the service manager saying he can apply basic settings to my gearbox or something but said it may go into limp mode or something along those lines “ Hi Dan, We can perform the Basic Settings on the car if you want. Regards David “

A member on favebook said it was the clutch and selector @skoffski the service manager at skoda said it was fine i have been dealing with him directly.

So, skoda said my car is fine to drive i suspect the clutch is on its way out the car when driven slowly is fine apart from the clunky box and lag on gear changes, The car has been into skoda Stockport today (23rd/5/19) for a oil consumption test, free of charge??? Due to me still not getting the results from the first consumption test which i was charged twice for and oil i did not need. I have been told to cover 300miles AGAIN and report back to skoda for the second part of the consumption tests, But now i have dsg issues so the 300miles isn't going to be easy I first noticed my car () was using oil at the beginning of march i then kept an eye on it resulting in topping it up with 2 litres initially then over the next month a weekly check i have over the course topped up the car and up to date used just over 7 litres i have covered just over 3000 miles. Skoda (stockport) believe the issue with the car is the clutch, I have been advised on a social media page it is the clutch and fork selectors. Skoda Advised me its ok to drive and if any engine lights pop up call them. Today (23rd may) the same day i have left skoda on my journey home from my parents the EML light has activated and again would not select the correct gear, leaving me stuck at the traffic lights. I have turned the engine off and re started the engine set off as normal all is fine i set off i lunges from 1st 2nd gear then jumps to 4th gear then the gear number in the dash starts flashing, leaving me to pull over and and go through the process of stop starting my car, Upon starting my car the next day it was rough and felt lik a misfire, but the engine management light has gone off. I have plugged in carista and found these fault codes. But cannot find anything online ??? Has anybody had these codes before thanks

Me just failed two nights ago has the sticker in the boot

I have 2k left to pay on finance im sure im covered via that as unfit? Im really confused i have mild learning difficulties and this is really above my means. Gutted

The sticker is present but no date. Do you know why or how my dsg has failed? As i beleive its common issue ao not only does my car burn oil the dsg box is knackered too

Please issue me with a letter of deadlock so that I may refer this matter to the (name of) ombudsman. If I do not hear from you within 14 days I shall assume that you are in agreement that this case has reached deadlock and I shall refer my complaint about you to the ombudsman without further reference to you.
