  1. This thread seems to have gone quiet. Does that imply that the latest 'fix' does indeed solve the issues. My car is booked in for next week. I hope this will solve the kph/mph issue. I have also ordered the High Bean Assist and asked for a dashcam to be installed. I have noticed from some posted images that some cars have the time on the virtual dash - mine doesn't. Hopefully that will be another fix.
  2. I now seem to be getting weekly emails from Kate Laws. Doesn't appear to be any progress though!
  3. Useful and interesting information. My car was built 14th August 2020, according to Erwin, which I make week 33. I only have two issues, which are the SatNav in km and not being able to convert the virtual dash speedo to kmh. I'm not planning any continental trips at present so that does not concern me greatly. I was offered a hire car but eventually decided against it as I saw no point in my car sitting around at the Dealer's for no purpose at this stage. Waiting for the Dealer to advise me when a fix is available.
  4. ,I've just had a look at my app. There are 3 dots top right of the page, this gives a couple of options, one of which is to delete a trip. Not very comforting if our cars are going to be with the dealer for an extended period. I've deferred taking mine in for a couple weeks in the hope that they might come up with the necessary fix - or is that wishful thinking.
  5. Apart from the kph/mph issue and whether or not High Beam Assist can actually be added I will be returning my car temporarily to wait for the necessary fix. This must be costing Skoda UK in terms of hire cars so lets hope that they pressurise the factory to issue the fix as soon as possible.
  6. Well I've now had a call from the supplying Dealer advising me that Skoda are going to supply me with a loan car and want the car at the Dealership. I then had a call from Europcar and have gone through the process with them of booking a car. Don't know what it will be yet. So some progress but as I understand it we don't know when the Dealer's will get the necessary fix.
  7. Well, things seem to be taking off in respect of this issue. I have just had the email asking me if I am happy for Skoda UK to contact the Dealer to arrange a courtesy car for me until the issue is resolved by the factory. The questions are 1) how long will this drag on for and 2) what will the Courtessy car be?
  8. I am happy with my Mk4 too. It drives very nicely is comfortable and I am getting use to the technology. The fuel consumption is impressive and I imagine will only improve as the milleage increases. Clearly this is limited at the moment although we did a long trip in the car last October. I only have two minor gripes; 1) the KPH/MPH issue and 2) whether or not I can pay to have High Beam Assist activated. Neither is a deal breaker for me though. The build date on mine was 14/08/2020.
  9. Good question! I am assuming they are going to upload the report to the factory for the factory to decide what needs to be done. Heaven knows when I will hear anything!
  10. I have this afternoon had another email from Skoda Customer Services. They have asked me to contact the dealer for them to run reports to the factory. This was done last week! There is also mention of getting me a hire car but it is not clear when or why. I suppose it may be when when the factory advises the dealer what has to be done. I have also raised the High Beam Assist issue and have now been told that it is available on my car but at present can only be paid for by Bank Transfer to Luxembourg! I am lucky though as they seem to be the only issues I have - at present!
  11. Skoda UK asked me to take my car to the dealer for them to upload a report to the factory. That has been done this afternoon. Can only wait, I wonder how long for, to see what the outcome of the exercise is. I must confess I only have relatively minor software issues. So far, mechanically, the car has behaved itself and apart from the software niggles I am happy with it.
  12. I registered with Erwin and paid 8 Euros (£7.40) to obtain a build report.
  13. I have had the same outcome to my email to the executive office address. Received an email acknowledgment today. I also had a reply concerning High Beam Assist and the car is going to the Dealer next Tuesday for them to upload a report to the factory. I downloaded the build report from erwin. My car was built 14/08/2020 and I took delivery 25/09/2020. According to the build report I should have footwell lighting and electronic boot release from the car, neither of which I have. I will be asking the question!
  14. Overall yes I am happy with mine. I have two issues: 1) High Beam Assist. There seems to be no agreement as to whether or not this can be added to my SE L First Edition. It would be nice but it is not really a problem to switch the stalk when necessary. I had it on my Superb and there were times when I had to override it anyway. 2) Km on the Sat Nav. This is a known issue which Skoda are working on - allegedly! More often than not I would use Google Maps anyway. Car is lovely to drive and economical. Unfortunately due to the pandemic I have not done the miles I would usually do but before the second lockdown (?) end of October we did a long return trip from Essex to Yorkshire without any issues.
  15. Strangely when I used my car yesterday I went into shop. It gave me an option to purchase High Beam Control! The cost was a one off £179.99. So I clicked on it to purchase and then received an email with instructions to make a bank transfer to an account in Luxembourg. I will call Skoda UK on Monday to query this and try to make a card payment.
  16. I collected my Mk 4 at the end of September 2020. I have to say, despite limited mileage due to the pandemic, that I am pleased with the car. I only have two glitches; the first is the sat nav being in km - that is supposedly being worked on. The other is the automatic main beam; it is not clear whether my model, the SE L FIrst Edition, should have this or not. That said it is not a deal breaker just to flick the switch.
  17. Interesting - myS/W is 1664. Should I be contacting the dealer for an update?
  18. I have found no problem with the LED lights. In fact after the standard Halogens on my previous Superb. The Superb also had the electronic handbrake so I am use to that. I was a bit wary of Auto Hold to start with and initially used it with a great deal of caution. However it seems to be reliable.
  19. Re High Beam Assist (HBA). Ihad a telephone call from Skoda Customer Services UK regarding this issue. They have told me that the facility has been withdrawn for the time being as it requires further testing for UK models. My model is SE L First Edition but nobody can tell me whether HBA is standard on the version or is an extra or is only available with Full Matrix LED lights. Confusion seems to reign!
  20. I had the voice control asking for instructions when I hadn't asked. I sais'switch off voice control' and it has stopped. I haven't tested it yet but I imagine if I press the speech button on the steering wheel it will reactivate voice control when I do need to use it.
  21. I have also been told that High Beam Assist is only available with full matrix LED Headlights. Seems strange to me when the sensor is there.
  22. My car has been in today and I haven't noticed amy differences. Apparently there were 15 updates available and my model needed 14 of them! The Dealer has contacted Skoda about the km issue in the Sat Nav.
