Apologies not been in touch guys I had more ill-health and been in and out of hospital, due to go back into hospital Thursday 20th may, Deep Joy. my car problems all of a sudden stopped and so I got a new MOT and carried on driving but I think I knew it would not be for to long, glow plugs light and Traction control light came back on again, but think some other faults are there as well, think 1 is the Rain and Light Recognition Sensor of which I had no idea it had one. done a scan and these came up so as like I did last time I deleted them all and put the battery back on charge, a lot of it is due to I dont drive much and the car could be parked up for a while are I only drive it for a mile or so, what with covid and everything I have had nowhere to go apart from the hospital appointments. got two more this week I hope the car makes it. could you take a look please see what you think? says all the glow plugs are faulty just seems strange they would all go at once maybe I should just change them there not that expensive are they? . been looking it all up and found these photos and the vid on how to change the haldex oil and filter, nothing in the service book to say if it has been done or not, I could maybe let a few drops out and see how clean or dark it is? thanks mate, yea I know there is a module below the battery tray somewhere, I will get to it soon as I'm feeling with it a bit more, haldex? never heard of that before, it sure is a learning curve owning a skoda Octavia but its nice when you get it right and fix something yourself, if I had to pay a garage for every job I dont think I'd be able to have a car or my bike

Hi guys thanks for the Info sorry for the late replay I have some disabilities and been pretty much bed ridden for a while but up and kicking again. when I cleaned all the fuses and relays as in my last thread I never cleared all the faults so maybe start there? Langers2k do you know where the AWD module or the ABS module is and fuse number? I will go clean all of it as it does seem to help, I think my car has lots of bad connections cuz as I clean them things do seem to work better apologies I have fibromyalgia and brain fog can be a pain at times

having read up a bit I think they may be a relay module under the battery .

Hi Guys after charging the battery as advised its now showing a good voltage after 2 days of leaving it on charge, put all the dash back together this morning and went for a drive and the abs lights and steering lights have gone out but now it started beeping engine fault take to a garage. this is a new scan I done a few mins ago any ideals what it could be? Ok just a quick update I went out with my trusty caravan battery fully charged and hooked that up with thick jump leads and no start though did turn over a lot better, tested the battery it come up good battery needs charging, then I found out how to get that module out and got my contact cleaner and took out every fuse every relay I could see even ones under the bonnet and driver side fuses, got behind the Module and gave it a dam good spray and wiggled all the wires and plugs, then sprays every single fuse and relay and pulled them in and out a couple of times. Connected the battery up and it started 1st turn got it connected to the smart battery charger now and will leave it to charge for 24 hours and then hopefully put all the dash back together. you dont undo the torx screws to get the module out there are 2 clips on the sides and it drops down with a wiggle and a pull, thought i,d put this in case anyone else dont know how they come out like me. I did have the steering wheel warning light lit up and the traction control light but sometimes they go out after a drive so I seen before, its a new steering rack so wont be that at least and all the brakes i have been done 2 years ago, will update you all tomorrow or after the car is put back together. thank you all for your help I'm disabled and on low income so its a huge help when you guys step in and help us save garage fees.. Just went out and tried that MicMac and nothing happens, only get the warning lights now when I turn the engine over and it beeps (not the horn) do you know how that relay box comes out I found 2 torx screws but cant see anything else holding it in place

Hi Eddie can you advise me please mate? I cleaned all the relays and ports off with the contact cleaner but when I pulled the 395 relays off the relay covers come off so I pushed them both back on and wiggled them out, if the covers come off does that break the relays? car still wont start and i,m really stuck, do you think replacing all the relays might help as I could not see how the relay box comes out so I dont know the part number as its on the back or I would buy another one on ebay, or if you know what one it is could you give me an ebay link please and will get my mate in the garage to fit it as I dont know how to set it up hope you can help mate as really stuck now I wish I had the money to just take it to a garage and say just fix it (how the other half live A)

. I have a Hex V2 Duel-K & CAN but I'm new to using it so no ideal how to copy and paste stuff, I do know what copy and paste is as I repair computers might have to go onto the ross-tec forums and ask how to do it

Thanks for that Eddi, the RAC guy did a scan on it and wrote these notes so he said replace the box but I was going to use contact spray and give it all a clean, do you think I should try and source a used one as it does say its intermittent so it may not show on a scan? any advice would be really helpful please Eddi . .

Hi Guys been doing a bit of research and found 1 that looks the same as mine though it dont seem to include the top relays so might be 2 separate boxes. They seem to be plug and play what do you guys think? New ones are nearly £600 used from ebay about £20-30 but going to try using contact cleaner 1st Posting photos of them so if anyone else has to replace them you will know what to look for at least lol The names that it seems to identify the main relay box is : ONBOARD SUPPLY CONTROL MODULE or Skoda Octavia Mk2 1Z 2007 Comfort convenience module.
