Skoda SIM required for wireless Apple CarPlay?
Thanks @NottsIan, I hadn't realised.

Coasting - what do people think ?
My 1.5 TSI ACT DSG reads no consumption in coasting mode. With light throttle control it uses ACT a lot of the time too. I really like it.

Skoda SIM required for wireless Apple CarPlay?
I thought that Android Auto connected to the car with bluetooth

I've lost half my two-tone horn
Thanks @sussamb. I managed to track down the fuse layout and, yes, only one 15A fuse. I spoke to the Skoda dealer who confirmed it's likely covered by warranty, but the nearest one is 56 miles away in Oswestry! I was really pleased with the two-tone horn, so it's a real shame the new Karoqs have a sigle tone one.

I've lost half my two-tone horn
Help! I went to encourage a sheep to move off the road over last weekend and instrad of the rather good two-tone horn, I'd lost the lower of the two tone and now it sounds strangled. I don't know where/what to check. Are ther seperate fuses for the two horns? Is there a weird setting I haven't found? I have the servicing package with warranty and AA. Will the warranty cover horn failure? Any ideas?

Karoq 245 45 19 tyre ?
Funny thing is the comparison would mean that my speedo would be almost 100% accurate as they are designed to overstate speed. (225/40R19 versus 245/45R19)

Removable items to check
I've just checked my MY21 1.5tsi Edition and wow, no more getting wet as there is an umbrella under the front passenger seat!!! I've had the car as an ex demonstrator since June 21 and only just found this out just as I twigged there is a 2-stage unlock so the second pull on the handle opens the rest of the doors. Duh.

Karoq useless Satnav
I recommend WAze, and stop using the inbuilt satnav. It would appear @Busman104 that you are now having to pay for updates but put up with a less than optimal satnav performance.

Droning sound?
Agreed, I've had several different cars which all exhibited some droning even on good road surfaces when they started to wear. @fabill Have you checked the tread depths? Especially at the rear.

What does this update contain?
Thanks @NottsIan I have noticed the software version has changed to 0330 from 0324 and the Radio database has changed to 1.31.44 from 1.30.36. I'm one of the lucky AA wireless connection people who (fingers crossed) has been able to connect without problems - bar a few glitches from time to time. (Using a Google Pixel 6). I do hope that this does fix the AA connection problem for more people as the wired option was a pain.

What does this update contain?
Finished download and install this morning (Fri 15th) - 3.8Gb. I can't see any difference but without knowing what it was supposed to do, it's really difficult to tell. Wonder if their motto should be "Simply opaque"?

What does this update contain?
Hi, My Karoq is currently downloading M013_EU_SKMQB_P33000P. Can anyone tell me what is in this update please?

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
I have all Notification sliders in the On in AA, Messages, Waze, WhatsApp

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
I have checked the Android Auto Do Not Disturb settings and that is not allowed and says "Must stay turned on....". Turning all AA Notifications off, it still says the same, and the same after a reboot.

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
Another Android Auto update again today to V11.2.640434-release. So now V11.2. After 2 Android Auto updates the problem is still there but..... I hadn't realised that the symbol is the Android "Do Not Disturb" one!! And this describes the problems I have experienced – no notifications received despite Waze, Android Auto, Messages, WhatsApp having all notifications enabled. I feel this could point to a 'corruption' to my phone's settings which sometimes happen when Android itself is updated. I loaded the Android 14, Jan24 update on 13th January and soon after that I noticed the problem. (I don't use my car/Waze/Android Auto every day.) I have since installed the February Android update and have not noticed any changes as a result. Does this sound a reasonable conclusion? How can I now ‘trick’ Android Auto into switching off ‘Do Not Disturb’?

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
Ah well, another updated Android Auto version today - 11.1.640264-release. I wonder if that will help? Note to self - do not hold your breath!

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
Thanks @Viffer800 I'll give it a try. May take a bit more time to do.

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
@Viffer800 Tried that just AA, and then AA plus Waze, and that didn't make a difference. Even asked on AA / Google support and not a sausage!😠

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
Yes, good idea. @Viffer. Surely someone else must have experienced the same problem as I have??
-
Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
Thanks @Viffer800. I see how that works but my need is somone to sent me a text or WhatsApp when I'm using the car and cinnected up. Yesterday I went on a 200 mile round trip and when someone called my mobile number, it did not ring in the car, or the phone. Similarly a text I was sent wasn't notified. The text was available if I went in to the 'Messages' app on the car screen, and voice reply worked but the message would not 'clear' as it used to. That odd new symbol was showing wit the new software version and hence not notification 'blobs' were displayed on the car screen.

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
I'm hopeful that today's update to Android Auto to 11.1.640254-release may help but I'm not holding my breath! It's not quite straightforward to test as I rely on someoone else to send a text or WhatsApp so it'll take a little time.

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
PinkPanther said: I noticed this the other day too - just a dot as a notification now🤷♂️ Guessing it was an Android Auto update? I agree that it's probably an Android Auto update. But, what I had before as notification was a white dot about the size of the new symbol under the time with a number in black representing how many oustanding notifications there are. I can handle a change in display but not the fact that I am not receiving Notifications at all. Current App Versions are: Android Auto is Version 11.1.640244-release. Waze is Version 4.101.0.1 I've checked my Pixel 6 on the latest Android version and the Notification settings have not changed - I have them set to send all Notifications.

Waze on Android Auto has stopped showing Notifications
Firstly, apologies if this post should be in a different forum. I keep my Karoq , and my phone right up to date and in the last week or so, instead of a blank space on the screen where the number of outstandingg notifications is displayed, I have a minus sign on a circle, and NO notifications. The picture shows it just under the time. I have not changed any settings on the Phone either for Waze or Android Auto, nor on the car. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas about how to fix it as I rely on the notifications on a long journey.
