Sportline tyre change?
I'd personally recommend Michelin CrossClimate tyres. When my car had done 8,900 on the original Bridgestone's, I was sick and tired of their performance on my 1.5 Edition with the 19 inch crater wheels. So, I had a full set of CrossClimate 2s fitted in December 2021. In November 2023 I had to replace the fronts after 22k miles, same rears. As of today, the rears have done 40k and the fronts 17k. Still 5mm tread on rears and 4/5mm on fronts. The roadholding is the safest and most predictable I have had on any car. They track true and have amazing grip on the windy roads here in Mid Wales. Wet performance is brilliant too. Unfortunately they no longer do the correct 225/40/19's but they do make 225/40/19 in CrossClimate3 Sport's.

Beware OTA Software Update!
Any idea what the update contains? Or how large it is?

Bosch wipers for 2025 Karoq.
Please remind me not to jinx things in future. 😊

Bosch wipers for 2025 Karoq.
Good news. Just the rear wiper to worry about when it needs changing.

Bosch wipers for 2025 Karoq.
Bosch say A864S for the fromts (RHD) and A335H for the rear wiper for Karoq 23 on. (nb the fronts are the same as pre 23, but the rear blade is different, so I use A331H on my 2021 Edition.) I suggest checking on https://www.boschwiperblades.com/, and entering your registration number to double check.

Michelin Crossclimate 3s
@SteveTheElder I didn't find a great difference in fuel economy between the OE Bridgestones and the CrossClimate 2s I had fitted at 8,900 miles. I'm on 47,700 now but have moved house since and am doing a much greater proportion of short journeys. Long term I have achieved 42.5mpg, but get 50mpg on a long motorway run (1.5tsi engine and DSG gearbox.)

Michelin Crossclimate 3s
@vulcan Yes, an excellent price. Shame I'm not a member.

Michelin Crossclimate 3s
Not sure who would want the Bridgestones. Eventually I I took mine to local ATS who, after chatting to the manager about Crossclimates didn't change me!! Result.

Michelin Crossclimate 3s
Brilliant, thanks. Got a month or two so I guess I'll make sure I check out Blackcircles when the time comes.

Michelin Crossclimate 3s
That's a great price @Viffer800 ! Was that for 225/40R19s?

Michelin Crossclimate 3s
I dumped the factory fit Bridgestone's at 9k miles for Crossclimate 2s to my MY20 21 reg 1.5tsi DSG, as they were appalling! It was the best decision I have made about tyres. I echo the thoughts already expressed - cornering, comfort, ride, and wet, dry and cold weather handling are vastly better. The rears have now done 39k miles and the fronts I changed again after they'd done 22k miles. All tyres have plenty of tread left. Pity is I have 19" crater alloys and Crossclimate 3s aren't available in 225R19 so I'm thinking Crossclimate 3 sports when I change. Best fitted price I found recently was £400 for 2, £800 for 4 fully fitted. (lapinou would be a good French word for bunny!)

Displaying Speed Limits from road signs
@thamestrader I agree. Perhaps commercial interest trumps useability? I understand that some new cars are now sold without Android Auto (and maybe without Carplay too) so car owners are pushed towards built in functionality.

Displaying Speed Limits from road signs
It's a bit off the topic but Waze will display the current roadspeed (from GPS) and current speed limit from current dowloaded data. I realise this doesn't necessarily display on the virtual cockpit though.

Squeaky brakes in reverse... but not always!
Hi @debnlass , I've had my SE L Edition for 4 and a half years and it still squeals a bit in reverse at low speeds usually only when I haven't done many miles. Still on the original rear pads/discs at 47k miles. So as @Berisford says, don't worry about it.

Replacement Shocks?
Thanks @Paws4Thot. That says it all. Thanks @OccyVRS

Replacement Shocks?
Except my MoT has two specific advisory items: "Shock absorbers has light misting of oil Offside Front [5.3.2(b)]" and "Shock absorbers has light misting of oil Offside Front [5.3.2(b)]" Not sure if 5.3.2(b) is generic but the messages are standard MoT

Replacement Shocks?
Thanks @JimG59 , my Karoq is on the Skoda servicing deal with added warranty is the reason I went there. Thanks @Frizzbee30 I understand now, at least there wasn't an instant attempt to upsell new ones.
-
Replacement Shocks?
Car registered 31 March 2021. Back in March at 42300 miles,my MoT, at Skoda dealer, i got 2 advisories. Both near and offside front Shock absorbers having 'Light Misting'. The previous MoT at 34851 miles had no advisories. So, Why is the MoT flagging light misting? Also, why do they have specific codes for misting? (There was no suggestion that I replace the dampers.)

Wheel size conflicting advice
I think I'd be concerned about insurance and the risk of not being covered as it isn't one of Skoda's approved sizes. Just an observation about Cross Climate 2s on the 19" crater wheels. I too had Bridgestones on my ex-demo car but after 9k miles bit the bullet and invested in 4 Cross Climate 2s. They definitely ride better than the Bridgestones, last longer and out-perform them winter and summer. The rears are only half worn at 31k miles.

My Karoq suddenly lost one of the horn tones
Does anybody have an idea of how a power lead to the horns could be broken? I'm taking the car on Monday afternoon (23rd) and want to be armed with as much info as possible.
-
My Karoq suddenly lost one of the horn tones
One of the two horn tones stopped and my local dealer diagnosed a broken wire. They reattached the wire which restored the second tone and also said they had rewired the other tone too. There was no further information regarding the fix such as whether the repair was a proper Skoda part. I haven't yet got a copy of the invoice so can't check. I have had a look but cannot see exactly where the horns, or their wiring are. Unfortunately, the tone stopped working again shortly afterwards. (I only found out when wanting to warn a truck and trailer about to cut in front of me on the M25!!) I have the Skoda servicing, warranty, AA deal so wasn't charged the £135 they would have wanted fortunately. But now waiting to rebook the car. My nearest dealer is in Oswestry so it's a bit of a faff. Have any other owners experienced this or a similar problem?

Reversing camera image - can you see the car's own number plate?
My car was in the dealer this week for warranty work - turned out an electrical connection to one tone of my horn had fractured. They checked and told me I have the latest firmware so I wonder if MY22 versus my MY21 vehicle makes the difference? I agree about double checking, but I sure like starting from a rear view.
-
Reversing camera image - can you see the car's own number plate?
It all seems to depend on whether you have "Rear View" - the simple one like @Rgsmg53 and @Rory have or "Area View" with the wide angle setting. My MY21 doesn't have Area View but the standard Rear View is brilliant!
