looks ok, was it expensive ?
No, I don't think so. The price was EUR 17.95, which is £15.30 : http://www.amazon.de/MESTO-3132-FOAMER-Schaumsprüher-Liter/dp/B00E7I6WKI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376744017&sr=8-1&keywords=Mesto+Foamer

I have just made a new thread with my video-review of the Mesto Foamer 1.5 liters: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/285624-the-mesto-foamer-15-liters/?p=3384742

I have just bought a Mesto Foamer 1.5 liters pressure sprayer. It's a good alternative if you don't have a pressure washer with a foam gun/cannon/lance, but of course it is not as good at all - and it is not meant to be either.
I like it. For a product of this size it's not bad.
I have made a short presentation and review of the Mesto Foamer on Youtube (HD):
.One advice - don't fill it as much with water as I did because there is not enough room for compressed air, even though I only filled it to the Max-mark. You can see it's spraying a lot better at the end of the video.
I am using about 75 ml. Poorboy's World Slick and Suds for about 1.5 liters of water, but I am sure, I havn't found the best soap/water mix yet.
Check it out if you like .

I'll pick up my Mesto Foamer tomorrow .

If this helps anyone, I have just cured a persistent rattle/sizzle from the passengers door.
It was the window switch housing slightly loose.
My cure was to put a piece of black insulating tape at the front lip of the switch housing.
Not a very pretty fix, but I may wedge a piece of tape under the lip, which will be invisible.
Tony
Could you verify and stop the rattle coming from the door without removing the door card?
I also have a rattle coming from the back of the car (estate). I hear it almost everytime I drive on a rough road, and I THINK I have narrowed it down to eminating from the boot lid. The front passenger seat also creaks a lot. Sound familiar to anyone?

LOL - I actually thinks it looks good . Black and grey - much better than all those completely black cars in my opinion.
-
Doing on wed/thurs , will post when finished
Sounds good . Always great to see what other people have done to their cars - and perhaps I could get inspired to do something to my own.

I had thought about getting the bog standard black surround but I really really like the wrap I've used (just ordered even more, I can see this car ending up completely wrapped ) .
Pictures?

Pictures of my wheel as it looks with regular treatments with Poorboy's Leather Stuff (which also has UV blockers):
It feels soft, good and not slippery or greazy at all - not even right after the application/treatment. But it is obvious, that it is well protected - which is good.
(IF you spot the unusual bit on those pictures.... check out this thread: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/271207-chrome-trim-on-the-steering-wheel/ )

Do like women: Don't think - just buy!! :D :D
Seriously, it looks great .

Sorry, I don't know that product.

1: Remove any large/hard particles with your vacuum cleaner taking care not to touch the plastic itself. You can also use an air blower for lenses* (like I do) - or a can of compressed air.
2: Mist a good, clean microfibre cloth with any glass cleaner that you use on your windscreen - and then gently wipe the plastic.
A good microfibre cloth will not scratch! But if there is a small hard particle under a cloth, the plastic will get scratched no matter what you do or what you use. Keep that in mind.
*Air blower for lenses - the one I use:

I love chrome on a car . Be sure to post pictures when you get it installed!I ordered these chrome bits: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-CITIGO-CHROME-SIDE-DOOR-INDICATOR-SURROUND-TRIM-COVERS-SET-STEEL-/200867317717?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ec4a007d5
My 15.000km oil change is coming in early september - I have asked them to remove the Skoda and citigo texts on the hatch (the green of the citigo is not my thing).
So, a little chrome on and a little off
Hope that ebay chrome doesn't look too tacky...
I tried to start a thread about chrome trims some time ago: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/279911-the-show-me-your-chrome-trims-thread/

Buy a bottle of Poorboy's Leather Stuff and use it in a spray bottle diluted with water if you want a matte finish (I use 1:9), or use it undiluted if you want a shiny finish. It cleans very well and adds a good protection - and it makes your car smell like new again . Besides, a little goes a very long way. Spray it on and buff with a good MF cloth. It's very easy to work with.

Look forward to how it goes for you, dont forget the pictures :-)
If you are talking to me - then yes, I'll probably make a video .

What is the reason for these snow foam attachments. What do they do.
They make thick foam that clings to the car. This means that the cleaning ingredients can more effectively dissolve- and loosen the dirt.

I have just ordered a Mesto Foamer: http://www.amazon.de/MESTO-3132-FOAMER-Schaumsprüher-Liter/dp/B00E7I6WKI/ref=sr_1_2?s=garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1375982481&sr=1-2&keywords=Mesto+foamer http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/new-products-mesto-1-5-l-foamer-pressure-sprayer.html
It should actually be rather good: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=311166
A pressure washer with a foam gun would be better of course, but for the time being I don't have that option.
I am looking forward to trying it out .

A very sad story!
Try not to think too much about why someone did this. Sadly there may be no reason at all.
I hope you get your car back in mint condition.

Yes, I know I could avoid hitting the clear coat - but I am not the only one using the car . The black ones do look good too.
I think it is a small price to pay to be safe.

I got the kind with "steel"-inlays from my dealer. It seems to be these: http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/FABIA-II/Fabia-II-07-12-OEM-Skoda-door-sills-with-FABIA-logo .
They are actually very sturdy and doesn't get scratched easily. I'm glad I bought them.

this was my rattle problem. Skoda Fabia rattling fuel line its a commen fault with the Mk2 fabia and the dealers sorted it.
How did they sort it?
-
They look great . A nice little detail. I think a darker green would be better for my car.
