  1. Thank you, but you are looking for different version. 5E2/5E1. I was looking for 15B/16B and 17B/18B. I think, that they are "the same", but I am not sure.
  2. When the conversation came to life here .. :D I wanted to ask, did you calibrate the rear view camera? I also retrofitted the rear view camera on my Octavia before, but I couldn't calibrate it according to the correct procedure, I have no idea why. Or is it even needed? I have trailer assist also. I know, that in Octavia MK4 the rearview camera can virtually "rotate", is it possible that with correct calibration also the MK3 Octavia should have this function?
  3. Hi guys, does anyone know, what is the difference between Xenon version 5E1941015B/5E1941016B and 5E1941017B/5E1941018B? Right now I have in car 15B/16B and I was thinking, what is the difference in the newer version. In ETKA I can see, that the new ones are "just replacement" and I know, that sometimes the replacements are only "reduced cost". Does anyone know? i have option to buy 15B/16B, but not sure, maybe the 17B/18B are better.
  4. Just found this topic, As I can see, your solution would work only for not-OEM version of rear view camera, right? Because I can't see an option to connect to the box original camera, only the cheap from Aliexpress. I know, that you can change it to OEM version with another unit for four cameras (area-view), but I was not able to found out version, which I will be able to fit in Octavia 3 mirrors and front grill.
  5. My friend had the same problem after fitting the camera. Solution was to change the MIB unit. Sometimes it is not working (faulty hardware). Tried to do calibration and parametrization too, but without any help. Just saying that, because it could be your problem too.
  6. Yeah, correct, like langers2k wrote, you need VCP/ODIS for this and it is file, that needs to be "flashed/uploaded" to the unit. You can't change this only by doing long coding or adaptations
  7. I wrote a new parametrization, which was called "mit STA", which means in english "with TJA". I didn't do anything else, it is not coding, not adaptations. I called it TJA, because to activated this function, I needed to do the parametrization for TJA into A5 modul. Like I wrote, this is not the correct setup for TJA, because normally you get TJA only with ACC, EPB and front camera. I was able to get it to work without it. I can't benefit from this as much as others, who have in car EPB or correct ABS atleast for Follow-to-Stop function. I still don't think, that saying, that this is TJA is misleading information, just like I wrote in my comment before, I just can't benefit from all function, that TJA has. Activation process was the same like doing TJA therefore I saying, that this is TJA. Also for example, in this video he told, that below 60 km/h, TJA starts functioning. In other words - If your car can keep in lanes below 60 km/h, it is TJA. This is what I thinking. I am not saying, that what you are saying is wrong, just that I don't think, that I am saying something wrong
  8. Just FYI for this you would maybe need to change door units, otherwise it will be just saying error in PLA unit. For pACC (most likely) you need also to change front radar and get new FeC codes For Virtual Pedal and Rear Kessy Handles you may also need to change KESSY unit and normally also Immobilizer, but I was able to do it without changing Immobilizer I just wrote this down in case, that you will try to do it, I can help you with that in case that you will need I wanted to try to retrofit 360 cameras too, but unfortunately I can't use parts from other cars, which would look "good" (I mean for the placement of the cameras)
  9. Hi guys, I can tell you for sure, that TJA is possible to retrofit on Octavia. On my Octavia I was able to successfully retrofit. You just need to specific front camera and to have ACC. Possible camera: HW: 3Q0 980 654 without index or with index A (or 3QD 980 654) H06+ ACC radar can be the old one, newer one, doesn't meter. I had 5Q0 radar and now I have 3QF radar, worked with both. The only requirement for TJA is the front camera and ACC, nothing else I just have ABS, which doesn't support ACC with Follow-to-Stop and it is also working. I have DSG. The only problem with this ABS is, that below 20 km/h the ACC stop working -> TJA too, because you need to have ACC activated to use TJA function.
  10. That is HW or SW? HW 3Q0 980 654 without index or with index A (H06+) can also work with Traffic Jam Assist after proper parametrization.
  11. I retrofitted pACC too (not just by myself) and you need 3Q0 front camera and ACC radar 5Q0 with index G/H or better 3QF radar. Also some 2Q0 radars should work (not sure about which one specifically) I have front camera: SW: 3QD 980 654 A, version 1611 HW: 3Q0 980 654 A, H12 ACC Radar: SW: 5Q0 907 572 R, version 0771 HW: 3QF 907 572 A, H11 (Written on the radar itself is 3QF 970 561 D)
  12. You need to have different FeC code in your front radar and after this it is only coding, I think. I retrofited ACC with Speed Limiter, before this I had only regular CC, which means, that I can't be sure, what else you need to do. I would say that coding in Engine, Cluster and radar itself
  13. vRS gets Lane Assist, navigation like standard? I have seen a lots of RS Octavia III without navigation and Lane Assist and it was original RS. Maybe it is different here in Middle Europe
  14. Hm, hard to say, which is going to be best to start with. Maybe take a look on the list, that I posted here a few comments back and I can try to tell you, how hard it is to retrofit
  15. Would be best if you could write down your current "setup" and I will try to tell you, what you could do first
  16. Yeah, that is right, I think, because in my car it was too and I have 1.6 TDI MY2016
  17. I think, that you don't need specific for Octavia, it is the same for Golf (and I am sure, that for a lot more). I am not sure about the cost, can't remember, I did this retrofit a year ago. I think, that the price for all was around 25 000 Kč (850 £) - I was using parts/units from damaged cars small pump, which is going from fuel tank to the auxiliary heater pipes to the engine (for water circulation) different climatronic with the button for the heater different aerial (antenna) on the roof auxiliary heater unit (and holder) coaxial cable for connection between roof antenna and the auxiliary heater unit wiring of course remote control for auxiliary heater coding/adaptation of course Auxiliary heater itself with exhaust pipe I am not sure, if this is the full list, but I think, that you could see, how many parts you need This list is written based on my car (EU car, on UK it could be maybe on the other side) auxiliary heater is in front right side under the head lamp auxiliary heater unit is on the left side of the boot I can't remember about any other useful information for you And based on the list of units in my car I have auxiliary heater unit 5Q0 963 272 J and remote control 3Q0 963 513. I hope, I helped you a little with this
  18. I don't know about the electrical heating element. I am sorry for this, but it should be correctly "Auxiliary heater" - it is working like a "very small engine" and using petrol/diesel depending on the engine type
  19. If you can find this, I would be very interested in this. Like I wrote in comment before, we are trying to do a LIN convertor for some buttons between steering wheel from Octavia 3 and Octavia 4.
  20. Hmm, this is strange. I am not sure about this, because for me it was "plug and play". Maybe something needs to be done in gateway adaptations, but I am not sure. And thanks It looks like, that the LIN is not going to be easy
  21. About the steering wheel: I have virtual cockpit from Octavia III FL and the buttons on the steering wheel are working (except for the button for travel assist (right top corner button) and I can't change VIEW, everything else is working, the button for heated steering wheel too. Regarding to coding, I need only to enable the option, that I have the button on steering wheel. About the settings on your Columbus regarding VC, you need to have Gateway 3Q0 and it should be working with correct coding (the settings in infotainment) I don't know about any other workaround. Right know with my friend, we would like to try to create a "translation" unit for LIN communication - example: If you press right left button, it will send to car "VIEW" button click, so far it looks like not possible option, but we will try Heated rear seats - just wirings and add heating pads Additional independent heating - I mean auxiliary heating and about tri-zone climatronic, I am not sure, what is needed to be change :/ rSAP retrofit is consist of two LTE antenas under the rear bumber and coaxial cables to infotainment unit, nothing else Media Command is SWaP code, but it is not so useful I have used it once, I think. And I think, that it is available for MIB2.5
  22. About the reversing camera, there are two main types. With guide lines or without. The main difference here in wirings is one thing. The reversing camera with static lines needs only "aux" (or how it is called) and one cable, I thing, not sure right now. All is needed to go to the infotainment unit. Camera with advanced guide lines (moving with steering wheel movement) needs more cables - CAN cables, all is going also to the infotainment unit. This camera needs calibration, but it can also work correctly without the calibration. The highline camera with advanced guide lines have two types. With or without trailer assist support, but I don't think, that you would retrofit this option. I am not sure about the instruction and order numbers, but for the camera you need only the wirings and different button with camera in the boot. Wireless charger needs wiring to the fuse box, one cable to infotainment unit and different box under the climatronic. Footwell lights, don't sure about this, because I had this in the car already. It should be only one cable to BCM (Body Control Unit). All of the retrofit was done with my friends and I did most of the coding, not the installation, so I can't tell you exact instruction and so on.
  23. For example, here is the list of my retroffits (Also did something else, but this is the part of "additional equipment". I also did some changes, which are not mentioned here) It is only google translated from czech If you want something from this to do on your car, just wrote it and I can tell you, what I needed to do for it. · Highline parking camera with Trailer Assist support · Heated steering wheel with touch sensor and paddles under the steering wheel (from Octavia IV) · Wireless charger · Heated rear seats · Columbus 9.2 ‘‘ from FL Octavia (large glass display) · Electric fifth door · Virtual pedal · Additional independent heating · Heated windscreen · Added dividing net with mounting on the ceiling · Original towing equipment · Blind spot and parking assistant · Front Assist, including monitoring of the car's surroundings while driving · Adaptive cruise control and speed limiter · Trailer maneuvering assistant · Automatic high beam switch · Traffic Sign Recognition · Generating engine noise - not working with the engine unit · Lane Assist, Adaptive Lane Assist, model 2020 · Driving profile mode - ECO, COMFORT, NORMAL, SPORT, INDIVIDUAL · Black package (mirror caps black, around the front bumper mask behind the black) · Digital instrument panel with RS mode option · Radio with DAB + digital signal reception, including traffic information reception · Media Command and SportHMI functions in infotainment · 230 V socket including two USB backs · rSAP function for LTE signal reception, including the possibility of inserting a SIM card · SIMPLE CLEVER elements - bottle opening with one hand, multimedia holder in the center console, umbrella holder under the driver's and front passenger's seats · Maneuvering brake · Double / raised floor in the trunk · Original crossmembers that can be inserted into the raised floor in the trunk · Plastics for the chassis to protect the front and rear axles and also to improve aerodynamics · Ambient lighting in all doors with interconnection of the driving profile mode · Personalization of keys · Storage compartment for umbrellas in the trunk Removable lamp in the case (from Superba FL, lights pure white)
  24. Just to add some information from my experience about ACC. Coding (expect from FeC) is very easy, because on the internet is a lot of guides, how to do it. The only problem for me was ABS. I found on the internet a coding table how exactly should I set the bit in certain byte. About ABS. I have automatic transmission, which means, that my car should have follow to stop function, but my ABS is not prepared for this. To avoid changing ABS unit to the one with more PINs, I decided to change the coding to ACC w/o Follow-to-Stop (ACC is working for me between 25-160km/h). To sum it up - it is not necessary to change ABS unit, if you know how to code it to work without Follow-to-stop function. Rear ABS sensors - I am not sure about it, I didn't change it (maybe I already have the right ones)
  25. Yeah, but I am not sure, if it will work with 3Q0 unit, which is why I tried to ask here for anyone who maybe tried this
