  1. My production week was 9 and it should be with the dealer in the next few days (it's waiting to be loaded at the UK port) so could be with me end of next week or perhaps just after Easter (bearing in mind bank holidays etc). So perhaps 6 weeks from build week.
  2. Thanks. Just the config and brochure that are wrong.
  3. Anyone using wireless Android Auto in the new Kodiaq Columbus? The reason I ask is that I'm expecting wireless Android Auto as that is what I was lead to believe was on the updated unit by the dealer but the Skoda configurator still shows wired Android Auto
  4. They don't do a 190 diesel any more. It's a 200 The 200 diesel was available on the UK Sportline about an hour ago.
  5. On a positive note my new Sportline will be registered on 12/04/22 and should be with me next week. PS can you two stop ranting at each other.
  6. Just been updated that my new Sportline is in the UK. Hopefully a couple of weeks away from hands on!
  7. My dealer has mentioned the dsg reset: he was referring to it being done at each service, although I don't recall why we got on to that subject and I don't know if my Kodiaq (49k miles) has had it done. There's a lot about it on the internet: seems to be a case if ignition on (engine off), hold down acccekeator at bottom most position for 10 to 20 seconds, release accelerator, start engine. Done. Almost seems too simple but could be correct. One post did say hold pressure on brake during the pressing of accelerator but none of the others did. Anyone got any experience if this?
  8. Good point re WD40. I've used that once but other times used PTFE and also some 3-in-one oil (although that is difficult to get to the joint unless you have a traditional trigger oil can to drop it in the right place). I'd love to know what lubricant Skoda/VAG garages use.
  9. I tried the Autoglym and it didn't improve any more than your local guy achieved. Mine was in warranty and although not a warranty issue asked Skoda nicely and they replaced all the affected trims (90% of them). The second time it was the dealer who had to bear the cost. Anyway - the Autoglym is probably the right 'tool' for the job but I don't think you will see much/any improvement.
  10. Have a look underneath and you'll see the towball. As mentioned above spray some WD40 or other similar lubricant to assist in releasing it. Give it a couple of minutes then pull on the release button whilst holding the ball (to the right side of center) and pull down. The ball should rotateriund and lock into position. Don't get any of the WD40/oil on the ball (or make sure you clean it off) if you are using a caravan with an Alko hitch). I believe Skoda started using some specialist lubricant on these. Don't know what though; I'm guessing a fairly sticky oil that doesn't easily wash off. I do this a couple if times a year to keep it moving. Also - the white marks on the driver's door silver trim; that's damage from traffic film removers when cleaning the car in hot weather. It's very common on VAG cars. It happened to my Kodiaq twice; once caused whilst at the dealer's for a service when the cleaned it and once when I took it to a hand car wash, both in Summer, bright sunshine and over 30c. You'll need to get the trim changed if you want to see an improvement. The damage to the nut covers will have been caused by the same.
  11. I'd go with Anker. I have several different ones from them (via Amazon).
  12. I'm 19 weeks since order (11Nov) and updated yesterday it's now sitting in Germany waiting for the ferry. Fingers crossed for early April.
  13. It's a Tdi 200, Winter pack, towbar, usb-c by the rest view mirror and digital dash.
  14. According to the dealer my Sportline ordered 10/11/21 is built (Wk9) and on its way to the port. Fingers crossed for next month.
  15. I'm buying on PCP so get the discount for that plus a substantial discount from the dealer (I'm a return buyer if that makes a difference) plus a very good price on the Kodiaq I'm giving them back. My new one is a 2.0tdi 200; that might make a difference?? Might be imagining things but seem to recall something about delays on the 1.5??
  16. I've got one on my 4yr old Edition and never had that and I'm very 'sensitive' when it comes to unnecessary noises in the vehicle (much to the dealer's annoyance 😁; door card rattles, wind noise from seals etc). Sounds like something isn't right!
  17. Hmm. Don't agree. Mine is pretty well discounted - Sportline with towbar, winter pack, digital dash, ordered 10/11/21 with initial build expected August time. Beginning of this year build week given as week 7, slipped to week 9 and is today confirmed as in production (end of wk8), expected end of March/early April. I believe it depends on the spec and add ons particularly relating to availability of those parts and chips.
  18. I've also found this when I thought I had a problem; caravan lights were not working, I used a multimeter to try and check and there was no power - thought I had a problem but took it to a towbar fitter and he plugged in his test kit (full light box ext) and everything worked. It's just 'smart' tow bar electrics. Turned out that the caravan plug had corroded and that needed replacing.
  19. Mine has today been updated to week 9. Ordered 10/11/21. End of Nov build week was given as week 1, start of. Jan week 7 and now a slight slip to 9. Fingers crossed!
  20. Great news and perhaps some faith restored for some. Mine was ordered 10 November (Sportline 2.0tdi 200 with not many extras - winter pack, usb-c and towbar), originally forecast as 9+months (which I was happy with in the circumstances) and then three weeks later build date given as 01/22 but then dropped to 07/22 when I enquired early January (not surprised). No recent update but potential for April delivery if 7/22 build.
  21. To be honest it's actually quite easy (if a little awkward) to run a £10 cable and fuse from the fuse box behind the glove box and up to the rear mirror, hiding the cables behind all the trim. I did it a couple of years ago following online guidance (there's a thread here in briskoda). No special equipment needed but one or two plastic trim tools make it easier to push the cables behind trim where needed. The most difficult bit was figuring out how to drop the glove box front but it's simple when you get the knack of it.
  22. Blimey! Mine was ordered through my local dealer and PCP. Out of interest how iwas yours ordered?
  23. Graphite Grey with towbar, winter pack, virtual dash and usb-c by mirror.
  24. Had an update yesterday that mine, Sportline ordered 11Nivember and originally given a build week if 1/22 is currently scheduled for week 7. If all goes well it's expected here in April.
  25. Yes. I've got a Nextbase 512gw (current version would be the 522gw) which has its own WiFi capability; I can view all the footage, delete and download from my phone via the Cam Viewer app without the need to remove the SD card
