That's why I posted the load index of all three tyre sizes. The 205/70R15 tyre actually slightly exceeds the load carrying capacity of the 215/60R16 and 225/50R17 sizes. In many difficult winter conditions the narrower 205/70 size would outperform the boy racer 225/50 size especially if fitted with good 3PMSF tyres. 7Jx16 ET45 5/112 57.1 is the standard rim size for the Yeti with 215/60R16 tyres ET45 means that the offset is 45mm. ET stands for Einpresstiefe which is a German word. In English, Einpresstiefe means offset. 5/112 means 5 bolt holes with a BCD (Bolt Circle Diameter) of 112mm. 57.1 means the centre bore is 57.1mm. This is the latest all-season tyre review. It was posted just two days ago on 27/9/20. Goodyear G3 came 1st out of 32 all-season tyres on test. Vredestein Quatrac came 2nd. This link on national tyres is the Continental AllSeasonContact in size 185/55R15 86H. It's a good all-season tyre. Not the same as the TS860 which Continental classify as a winter tyre. Has anyone fitted wider tyres to their 5Jx14 rims? Vredestein Quatrac 5 all-season tyres are available in 195/60R14 86H. Same outside diameter as the 165/70R14 size. Hankook Energy Eco 2 K435 summer tyres, Kumho i*cept RS (W442) winter tyres, Kumho EcoWing ES01 KH27 summer tyres, Toyo Proxes CF2 summer tyres, are also listed on mytyres amongst many others. You may be wondering if 195/60 fits on a 5.0" wide rim? Well, 185/70 is a recommended size for a 4.5" wide rim and 205/50 is a recommended size for a 5.5" wide rim, so 195/60 should fit a 5.0" wide rim because 195/60 is in the middle of 185/70 and 205/50 and 5.0" is in the middle of 4.5" and 5.5". Here's a chart: 185/70 4.5" rim (Recommended size) 195/60 5.0" rim (Should fit) 205/50 5.5" rim (Recommended size) Another way of looking at it, is that both 185/50 and 205/70 is a recommended size for a 5.0" rim and 195/60 is in the middle of 185/50 and 205/70 so should also fit. Here's another chart: 185/50 5.0" wide rim (Recommended size) 195/60 5.0" wide rim (Should fit) 205/70 5.0" wide rim (Recommended size) The load index for a 165/70R14 tyre is 81 (462kg), whereas the load index for a 195/60R14 tyre is 86 (530kg), so you can lower your tyre pressures by about 5psi when replacing 165/70R14 tyres with 195/60R14 tyres... or more precisely multiply the fraction 462/530 by the tyre pressures that you use for your 165/70R14 tyres. This of course assumes that your tyre pressure for your 165/70R14 tyres are correct. Always seek expert help if in doubt.
