  1. After 29 years of driving, today I got my first stone chip in the front windscreen, which looks like it will need a screen replacement. I'm just curious, for those who've had their windscreens replaced, does anyone know what the total cost came to, to replace a Heated screen with rain sensors and camera + calibration? Was informed today by my insurance company that their was a £500 claim limit per windscreen replacement! Plus the £75 excess. So, could be a very expensive week. The reply from the authorised repair company, National Windscreens, was simply silly money! Waiting for them to get back to me on Monday with price and a date to book in.
  2. The price of my car on configurator has gone up by £150. Added the massage function, but deleted the front seat adjustment from rear so should have gone up by £75?? The TV tuner which I have as standard on my current 2015 L&K, was an £850 option, however, it's been removed altogether now. But then again, in this day an age of FHD/4K TV's, watching anything on the SD screen of the Columbus unit was not an enjoyable experience at all. It doesn't surprise me they've deleted the option of the TV tuner altogether!
  3. The Skoda UK car configurator has now been updated. Massage function for drivers seat @ £150 but must be taken in conjunction with Ventilated seats @ £425. Larger infotainment system. The option to adjust front passenger seat from rear has now been removed. (£75) TV tuner option is no longer available.
  4. Absolutely fantastic, looks awesome, well done mate! Sent from my Oneplus 2.
  5. Holy moly! What happened? Sent from my Oneplus 2.
  6. Sorry, I'm using the Tapatalk app. I just presumed you were too, my mistake. Sent from my Oneplus 2.
  7. I've had the same issue, but I found if I tap the 3 dots on the top right of the page, and select Web view, they show up then. Might be a Tapatalk issue. Sent from my Oneplus 2.
  8. Great work so far, keep up the good work, am really loving this and looking forward to seeing it be transformed. I'd keep them silver to (a) keep the original look, and ( matches the audi decals on the door. To me, with black you just seem to lose the detail of the alloys, you may as well put some standard steelies on. White would be a nightmare to keep clean, unless you're into detailing on a daily/weekly basis. Too much effort for me. Then again, you could go mad and go for gold! Classic JPS look.... 9. I'd recommend using CarWow.Co.Uk, you'll get a better idea of what deals can be had. They are a broker who will put you in contact with various Skoda main dealers. You deal direct with the Skoda dealers. If your a bit savvy, you can always approach your chosen dealer and ask them to cut out CarWow to get an even better deal.

  11. As per title, anyone used this company to source their new car. Most of the brokers I've come across before, just put you into touch with a main dealer, and everything is then dealt with through the dealership until delivery. However, nationwide-cars.co.uk apparently deal with everything, no contact with supplying dealer whatsoever and all paperwork is done through nationwide-cars.co.uk. The issue I have is they initially only want a £500 deposit, however are requiring full payment one week before collection. Vehicle be driven to your home address, no self collection is allowed. Would you proceed with the order?

  13. Not contacted them about finance options yet, but these sites usually just pass your details direct to Skoda partner. Was being quoted 3.1k discount from Carwow, the quotes come direct from Skoda dealers so include all Skoda finance offers. It's just a heads up to shop around. Use the info to barter with your local dealer.
  14. Not sure where you are getting your car from but I'm also on the verge of ordering an L&K diesel estate, and I've been quoted discounts between 3k & 5k......
