As above- 2016 L&K 280 estate with 72k, 18 months ownership & 15k - the EA888 engine reliability was one of the reasons why I swung to superb so couldn’t comment on the diesels. I have only had the fore mentioned water pump- but was covered under my 12 month warranty. Personally a pre face lift car was a ‘bonus’- more buttons, ‘stronger gear box. I will be changing/upgrading suspension in next few months but mainly through ride quality preference/ preventative maintenance as I plan to keep the car for a while. the mk 2 gets a good write up- but Apple car play is just so handy for me. I think good service history is key.

Hi Tim, in a similar position with my 2016 L&K estate; what delivery times did you experience with your b6 damptronics?

To complete my input on this thread my diamond car mats arrived (approx 6 week delivery time with express delivery) So fitted today, super easy, do like the way they tuck into the car trim. And the mats are nice and thick. Time will tell. Also happy with the brown colouring against my brown leather interior. Whatever you do don’t buy at full price as many discount codes available and a brief flick on their FB page will reveal some dated 20% off codes that still work.

I had wrestled with the idea as I’m sure the fitment would be even better & I love the idea of a reversible one- but ultimately I think only the rubber side would really be required for my needs (push chair mainly) & this removes the temptation & as I (currently) don’t have a full spare there is a little storage below that I could access easily with a rollable mat vs a fixed tray!

Thank you very much for the recommendation! mine arrived today and very happy with the fit and material for the price- I wanted a flexible rubber with lip to catch potential spillages- but also the ability to roll up if needed (as opposed to a tray) just awaiting my boot buddy arrival to cover bumper and lip protection.

Looks good in your sport line. I did order the dark brown options shortly after my post and opted for express delivery- (got my car earlier this week) they have been dispatched and I’ll post some pics once received and fitted as I have brown leather interior. I did contact them but no sample service is available.

Finally joined the club today! 2016 L&K 280 estate 52k miles, quartz grey, pan roof & brown leather interior, odd colour combo imo but likely helped the price! Thanks to this forum for the incredible advice and info! Looking forward to adding TSR & HBA plus a few other tweaks.

Hi @MunsterScot planning to be a S3 owner shortly and also looking at diamond car mats, would you share a pic or 2? how do you find: -overall coverage (up to an inch gap is acceptable and has some complaints) -the fixings to the floor- do they sit well, complaints of slippage? -delivery time frame acceptable? -you general experience- I am slightly worried that these could be a tad slippy when it’s damp outside? any insights- Appreciated! I'm hoping the dark brown ones will match with the brown L&K leather!
