  1. I agree. Leather would have been nice. I had half leather in my JCW and back to cloth for the vRS!
  2. I have two dogs and the male one sets off the sensor. He moves around so much, that it only ever bongs once or twice on a long drive! I have the Skoda dog hammock and utilise the upper load net in the forward position, (behind the front seat headrests). That way they can suit themselves and I've still complied with the law!
  3. I gave up with my set. They now live in the bag, pushed down the side of the spare wheel! 😐
  4. I thought the I'd uploaded this! I took ownership in July last year. So far I have nothing to moan about. 🤞👍
  5. Well 13.5 months waiting and I finally collected my Octy Estate vRS yesterday. I couldn't be happier 👍😀
  6. My car is an Octavia VRS Estate TSI DSG and no word of price increase. The only extra that I'm anticipating is interest in the loan contract!
  7. Still waiting for my car! It will have been 12 months of waiting, in a week or so. My car was 99.99% built in February and sitting in a yard somewhere! I have a VRM, just don't have a car!!! 🤔😐 Apparently a similar car ordered just before my car is on its way to the UK. I hope I can take that as a good sign!!!
  8. Well I'm still waiting. My car has a VIN number however it's been sitting waiting for just one part for months! My last delivery date was given as the month of May. Obviously that's not going to happen and when I asked for an update 2 weeks ago. I asked for an honest view of what chance I had for an August delivery before my annual road trip and the reply was "we're actually planning to lend you a roof box for your wife's Scala"! You can't get more honest than that! I've now stopped asking my dealer for an update! In two weeks time, I've been waiting for 12 months, so expecting to have a 72 plate car, when I finally get it!
  9. I totally agree and now so have I; particularly as the retort was directed at myself and not.your good self. Have a good evening all. 👍👍
  10. I'm always positive, so I call it my side of the bad. The other side is the wife's side of the bed, so she would get a bit annoyed otherwise! LOL It's called personal choice. I and many others want to and can afford to spend our money the way we like! I've always purchased what I want for me and never worry about what others think! In short I think it's called personal choice and it's rather sad if you don't think that way! I feel really sorry for you and I hope that one day you can be as happy as I am! I pray for your release from the constraints of conformity. I sincerely do.
  11. Because you can! I have a back room full of parts to put on my car, when it finally arrives! I'm pretty sure that I've never owned a car that was or is stock. The reason being that the manufacturer has a vision, however has to stick to EU rules. I for one don't, therefore as long as it's road legal, it's good to go. If I can, then I will. Software coding issues can be fixed, just as easily as hardware upgrade issues. If you want it stock, then please don't bother us that would rather not! Thank you and good by! 👋
  12. The whole situation gets worse! As per the above, I was told that my car was complete! Now and only following a complaint to Skoda UK, it would appear that my car is in fact missing one part! Unfortunately Skoda UK have no idea as to what part is missing!!! I then received a letter (stock format) saying sorry for the delays caused by Covid and Semiconductors, however now we're blaming war in the Ukraine! It would appear that it's never the fault of VAG as an organisation!
  13. My car ordered in early July was build week 6 and was showing as completed, with no parts missing at the start of week 7. Apparently it was sitting in the compound ready for transport. On Saturday, it was still showing as waiting for transport!!! 🤬 By contrast my wife's Skala Monte Carlo ordered in November was build week 9. It was showing as built at the end of week 7 and it's now in the UK apparently!!!! 🤯
  14. We are kindred spirits. My decision to go for a VRS was partially due to my total contempt for the EU and their obsurd rules. I've survived 44 years without taking the slightest notice of any Eurocentric control. Probably due to the fact that my grandfather's fought for my freedom to choose my own fate and I respect their sacrifice! Many gave, so the few could live free of tyranny. Tyranny by stealth is still tyranny! It's called Stockholm Syndrome!
  15. My order was mid-July and I currently have a week 6 build date! I agree with you with regard to Slovenia. Patient's of a Saint! 😇
  16. They appear to be pushing the wagon orders through very quickly. I'm glad for that at least! Although there are probably more Wagon orders represented on the forum, so it just appears that more are being delivered! Just a guess!!!
  17. If my car arrives in time, it's first trip will be a 600 mile round trip to Scotland and back, hopefully with some fun miles in between! That should help me nicely, on the way to a full run in! 😁
  18. I'll have a look and try it out in our current Scala. My wife's new car, Scala Monte Carlo, is now scheduled for build week 9 and my Octy vRS is week 6. Not so long now!
  19. I spoke too soon! I'm now build week 6 and my wife is week 9. As long as my car isn't revised back to a later build week! My wife's is no issue, as she didn't expect it for months anyway! FIngers crossed that my car arrives early to mid March.
  20. I've only just purchased the Pro, so not sure about how many credits it takes for each adjustment! I'll get on to watching adverts!
  21. 👍😁🤣🤣🤣 I didn't actually notice that! 🤭 Maybe I should be in bed and not on a forum at this time of night! Good night! 👍😁😉
  22. As far as I can tell, my wife's Scala SEL has Navigation available on both, but Google Maps on Media only! I may be wrong, however I haven't been able to get Google Maps on both!!! There has been a recent update, so it may be possible, however I've not had a chance to try due to being on Covid isolation until today!!!
  23. I've been told that diesel cars are coming through quicker sue to having much simpler electronic systems. That also depends on if it manual of DSG with the latter having slightly longer production times!
  24. Before we start guessing, please see the actual OBD Eleven web page. I would love to nip out and check the wife's car, however with the (allegedly) imminent delivery of her new Scala and my Octy, I'm saving the in app' credits for the two new cars! I had a generic units and then, Carista previously and I'm more than happy with my purchase of OBD Eleven Mk2 and Pro subscription and I'm keeping the Carista for use on my BMW Mini! Weblink: https://obdeleven.com/en/supported-vehicles
  25. I'm not sure if it makes much difference, however production appears to have increased. Car deliveries to forum members are coming in thick and fast for now! You're only a month or so behind me, so good hopefully good news is not so far away!
