  1. Just out of interest, did your faulty screens cause a parasitic drain on the battery? I have to have my car on charge 24/7 . Skoda didn't want to release it to me but I need a car until they give me a hire car. In an hour of not being charged, battery loses 2/3 charge. Almost feel like the alternator has crapped out too. Maybe even battery not holding charge? Dunno how long the drain has been going on..
  2. Update on mine - they're replacing the screen which they think will fix the issue. I think agree given that it's worse when it's warm outside. Fingers crossed, will update in 6 weeks
  3. Very helpful, thanks Primoz. I don't use GPS so wouldn't know if my gps is faulty but the rest of your errors line up with mine. I was already on 1941 so suspect it's a hardware fault. Especially given its the warm weather that does this. Cars in the workshop now getting diagnosed so passed on your info to them. Did skoda test your battery too as guessing getting discharged so much by being on o/night is less than ideal? Fingers crossed the fix works for you!
  4. Hey all, I had this to the point where I couldn't make calls (I'm on the rd a lot) or use GPS as it was doing it every 30 seconds. Got upgraded to 1941 and the problem was fixed - so I thought. Just started again today. Now the head unit doesn't switch off when the car is locked and ive had low voltage warning a couple of times. I have noticed though that it seems to do it way more when the temp is > 25 Celsius. Or at least seems to kick off the period when it does it. Anyone have any ideas why? Off to the dealer to get them to have a look but since tomorrow is cold, $ to donuts, it won't do it tomorrow.. Driving me bonkers! Cheers, Steph
  5. Yep, I've just had mine back last week with all available updates applied. No difference. It's not a biggie, just that it's stumping me as to why..
  6. Hey, the directional arrows on my HUD are reversed when getting directions from Waze via android auto. Its not reversed 100% of the time bit way more than half the time. I've turned mine off as they pretty much useless but wondering if anyone has a fix?
  7. Skoda says that the new vrs has a proper sports exhaust...me wonders if that means that it'll actually make it a proper sports exhaust and exhaust note? And more pertinantly, can it be retrofitted to the my22???
  8. Given my issues with software etc without having played around with coding, I'm hesitant for now but once off warranty...how expensive is expensive ballpark wise?
  9. Yep, I only found out once I'd driven off. Pointed out to the dealer that at time of purchase TSR was all over their website. They didn't give 2 sh.ts though
  10. I get that too and mainly when cold and rainy but am in Australia so don't get the cold snaps you guys do. Hope I get the hot fix too
  11. Have had this happen a few times but mine won't start for hours weirdly. Dealers have never heard of the issue which this thread gives me further pause. They've swapped a relay each time as well as installing anew start button. I now have instructions to video the errors next time and film myself pressing the brake pedal and of the stop lights when doing so. I had literally every system bar 1 have error codes so something was/is definetly having a fit. Good luck!
  12. Press the right hand silver wheel on the steering wheel so that you can change the centre info on each of the dials. There's an avg reading /100 and an instantaneous 1. The 2nd is what you're looking for.
  13. Sorry, got caught up with a project at work. Technically no resolution as yet. They acknowledged all the faults and spoke to Skoda who had never seen this before. They couldn't replicate the error in the workshop overnight. They've left the ticket open and have given me clear instructions on what to film next time it happens. They swapped some relays around again and put in a new starter button. Kinda feels like throwing solutions until something sticks but at least I feel heard. The dealer principle ended coming out and was nice. Interrupted the kid on the front counter telling me Skoda don't know what they're talking about and that they shouldn't have told me that I'd get a loan car as ther3s no way that will happen. Got a loan car though.... He just greased me off until I left and then again following day. Needless to say he won't be getting a Christmas card from me. The rest of the dealership is nice, shame he let's the team down. I'll upload a video of what happens next time it does. Stupid mistake I didn't this time....
  14. I'm in Melb too. Drive stop start+ a few highway trips a tank. I avg around 8.5L/100km's. Mines done around 17k km's. Turn on the instant l/100 setting on your driver screen. When im at cruising speed of 60 - 100, on flat ground, i use between 4- 6 l/100km's. Closer to 9 for stop start. I have the vrs too. 22my
  15. Fingers crossed your after sales experience is better than mine. But to be fair, my poor experience was down to the guy on the desk. He was arguing semantics and refused to acknowledge he was wrong or could have done better. The rest of the experience, finance manager and the service manager were awesome. Shame that 1 guy and a car that may be a lemon has soured the experience. Once the dealer principle came out, he solved the loan car issue. Now fingers crossed they solve the actual issue of all the errors. Havent heard back from them today but I'll buzz em in the morning will loop back here with the outcome as apparently I'm the 1st ever to have had this issue.
