  1. As Urrell says, Wesfilia are the tow bars that Skoda would fit. Fish n chips wire £6.75 which wasn't bad for a sit down restaurant, came with bread & pot of tea. Me likes chips
  2. Oh, and the fish n chips I had..
  3. Had a Westfalia detachable tow bar fitted yesterday, drove 40 miles to North West Towbars in Stockport as they have great recommendation from other Yeti owners. I went for the dedicated wiring kit, making it a £600 purchase!! Sadly that meant passing 3 hrs walking around Stockport town centre whilst i waited!! But at least I found a sit down fish n chip restaurant to pass away some of the time Pleased with the installation though, and the tow bar fits neatly into the storage compartment in the boot.
  4. Thanks, looks like everything is complete, especially as I've now found the wheel bolt removal tool...
  5. I think it's missing, I'll have a closer look tomorrow in daylight. If not then eBay have them for about £3
  6. It took me a while to realise the spelling mistake
  7. So should something go here.... And here...
  8. I found the locking wheel nut in the glove box. Now I know where it should be stored I shall return it to its rightful home, thanks.
  9. No, haven't seen those, I'll have an other look. In my first photo, what is the circular metal clip for, and the allen key? Also in the centre of the photo there's a plastic clip that looks like it's designed to hold two tubes together?
  10. Decided to inspect the spare wheel and jacking kit in my recently acquired 2017 Yeti. Is there anything missing here, or is it all complete? There's an empty void between the jack and wheel brace, and there's an empty compartment to the left of the spare wheel..
  11. They are great quality, ours is quite a few years old now, moved from car to car over the years and protected them from a number of pet dogs. It's still in good shape which is why its a shame it doesn't fit the Yeti.
  12. Good point.
  13. I'll do the same, having hidden my spare wheel in the hedgerow to retrieve after the very nice AA man has gone
  14. Next time you do get a puncture give me a call and I'll drive past with my spare wheel whilst grinning at you. But until that day, you win
  15. So my hooks and cargo net are useless. Guess I prefer having a spare wheel though.
  16. Thank you , it's a great time to be out of work!!! Thankfully, unlike some folk she got a reasonable redundancy package which we are grateful for.
  17. That makes sense, and would be just one movement of the gear stick from D to N. I guess I assumed P would give some hold if ever the handbrake wasn't on properly?
  18. I do have the cargo net, but I assumed that would attach to the floor somehow?
  19. I do indeed have the spare wheel. Shame the hook bar isn't height adjustable. Or maybe I need to remove the spare wheel everytime I go shopping? I'll see if the bar is removable. If it's of no use in my car then I won't need to consider them when getting a bespoke boot liner supplied, as some have cut outs for the hooks.
  20. I honestly wouldn't know, but it's not really surplus yet as whilst she's handing the Tiguan back (company car/redundancy) she will hopefully get another job with a car which the liner might fit.
  21. I'm presuming the hooks in the boot of my Yeti are to secure shopping bags to stop them tipping over? If so, they appear a bit low down for most bags, or have I missed something?
  22. Any suggestions for a boot liner that covers the sides and the backs of the rear seats? We've had a Hatchbag boot liner for years which although purchased to fit a Renault Scenic we once had, it's fitted every car since. But it's too big for the Yeti. Anyone use any other brands? https://www.hatchbag.co.uk/skoda-yeti-2009-to-2017
  23. My wifes Tiguan has Auto Hold, and we just come to a stop and leave it in Drive, before pulling away again. My 4x4 DSG Yeti doesn't have this feature, so I instinctively put the gearbox into 'P' when I come to a stop and apply handbrake. Then put it back in D when setting off. I assume this is the correct procedure?
  24. Thanks Kenny, it would seem I'd need VCDS kit but i not fussed about changing any setting to Australia so I'l leave it as it is.
  25. Is there a way to change the 'Second Speedometer Display' in the Maxi Dot? I realise that it is set to KPH for when driving abroad, but can this be changed to MPH? The manual is a bet confusing, referring to different sections of the manual, but without actually explaining how to change it.
